- Christian Slater talks with film critic and historian Joe Leydon about the jet-black comedy "Very Bad Things" at the 1998 Toronto International Film Festival. www.movingpictureblog.com/2011...

Very Bad Things remains one of the best dark comedies ever made. It is still one of my favorites. It's a shame Slater isn't the star he once was. If you've seen any of his semi-recent films such as He Was A Quiet Man, you know he still has it. Even when the movies he's in aren't great, he always is.
he was the best part of the absolutely atrocious exploitation Nymphomaniac
love him usually and will seek him out, but didn't dig that TV show he was in at all, couldn't watch it
He Was a Quiet Man was interesting at least and a good performance, could have been a better movie
This is a one hell of a forgotten gem from nearly a quarter of a century ago! There are no stars in this movie, the movie is the star! That's what Alan Ford said about the Snatch, some 13 yrs later🤣
His voice never change. Still the same from Heather to now.
One of my all time favorite movies of all time...
Chey Amie He is my fav actor!
Me too. In french it's more funny lol. I watch Very Bad Things 2 or 3 times every year . I like every people loving this movie like you.
KrisztianE mine too. He is awesome and he was born the exact same day as Edward Norton
Yes, ma'am, I do know where you can find more clips of Chris Slater. One of them that I found was on the movie called "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves". There was an interview with him and it was taped in the early 90's.
I really hope you find what you're looking for. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
I'm like a lighthouse for you, man! I Never go Dark! Never! Go! Dark!
Abs fab as usual. The oddest thing was that i saw this (finally) about the same time as i saw Slater in "The West Wing" -- and like Ralph Fiennes in "Quiz Show" and "Harry Potter" -- it takes (at least for me) several clicks before the nickle drops... HEY! That's the same person that was in ...
--- Peace always, Frank.
Very underrated film. I always saw VBT as a kind of alternate universe sequel to Heathers where his character lives to his 30's. He's basically playing the same guy, albeit older, but no less scheming & sociopathic.
Thank you! Have a great day as well :)
I'm a fucking lighthouse man!!!
where's that clip on here, that was phenomenal? I stay lit for you!
I never go dark!
does anyone know where I can find more interviews from Christian's younger days? like more 90's or 80's ? I only see stuff from 2000 on.
2.11 the interveiwers laugh..that made me cry with laughter x
Oof it’s just soooo cringey
Sooo cute!
Christian Slater sounds like a younger version of Jack Nicholson. His character in VBT was beyond deplorable, yet I thought he was the most engaging character.
Robert Clark could have edited this a bit better
He sounds like Jordan belfort
Horrible, HORRIBLE, movie!
J the first hangover was great. Similar to very bad things in ways, but different in other ways. I liked both films, but I’d rather watch the hangover again over very bad things if I could only pick one.
Troy McLure The Hangover III was the worst! Such a terrible comedy sequel
It is so stupid
Thank you! Have a great day as well :)
