There is a glitch where that happens. Once I defeated all pets and signed out, they refreshed. Or, you can wait a day and things should return to normal again. I'm not 100% sure the first choice will work as I've only done it once. Good luck!
In that case, contact the Prodigy Zendesk. It must be a glitch and they'll need to fix it behind the scenes. There's so many changes happening in-game, bugs are popping up. Hope this helps!
