@JVAce-AirAdventure96 Just in Canada for the RCAF 100th anniversary, but is a very short one. I was hoping they'd make it to Abbotsford, but their tour starts after our show. I did catch them at Oregon in 2019..

The snowbirds weren't able to show off their stuff as much this year.. Equipment failures. And, the cloud layer that rolled in.. They had to keep their maneuvers under it.
I would so love to see our Government spend money where it's needed.. The snowbirds are our National Pride!

Same thing happened in Geneseo, NY 2 years ago for their airshow one year. It was a bummer when we found out the Snow Birds couldn't come because of Covid reasons in their area. At least they still had the F-22 Raptor demo team come over. The Raptor will be there this weekend for Geneseo's show.
Have seen them couple of times in Europe. Still make a good display👍💪

The "problem" on these air shows (true for all aerobatic teams) is that many people are true enthusiasts and are able to appreciate and understand the complexity of determined figures but most don't realize how complicated it can be to fly in this way (ie by sight, with references always different based on where the show is taking place); bravi. 🍺
We're very fortunate here in America that we have two aerobatic teams in the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels but I admit they're not as bold as the Red Arrows, Canadian Snowbirds or the Freece Tricolori who all fly with 9 and 10 aircraft while only 6 for the American teams!
As far as I know only the Blue Angels are acrobat team ( the oldest in the world, 1946), the Thunderbirds are a Demo team. Thunderbirds use fighter-jets unlike other teams that use training planes particularly useful for the acrobat fly.

@@carlobrotto7132 thanks, for some reason i ve got it imprinted in my mind it must have been before ww2 w double deckers, so i asked gemini...🤦...it came out a long discussion w out end, so yes, yheir roots are in 1928, then 1949, but stable and w this name only 1961...and yes, i referred to number of formation planes...
this said, i ve asked thud which is the oldest and it seems being the french on 1931...try to ask her or i paste the chat here...😀
@@user-nj1ob8ht3p just talking of actual denominations. Back on past century the first country to set a stable acrobat team and to develop acrobatic fly was Italy in years 1928/29.

First the Frecce, today the Amerigo Vespucci leaves Losa Angeles to travel to Hawaii...
We are doing a lot of shows and public relationships in North America.
Well after more than 80 years of alliance between Italy and the north american/west allies... that sounds normal. But I've never saw the Blue Angels here in Italy except one time at Rivolto, Udine, Friuli, when there was all the major National Air Patrols.
Such a spectacle! I'm Italian and I love the Frecce, but I have to admit that also other countries have really good Patrols. It would be good to see them often.
I'll see them in person at the Rochester Airshow on August 3rd. Its the first time in 32 years since they've traveled to the U.S. ive seen the Thunder Birds and Blue Angels, but still have yet to see the Snowbirds and Red Arrows come to the states after these guys. I almost saw the Snowbirds at a show one year, but they cancelled their apperance because of Covid in their area.

I’m a proud American and I can say that whit Blu angels, freccis tricolori are incredible, the best over the world.
Maybe an elderly training jet, but that team puts on a performance just as good as the teams with more powerful jets.

The finale with the 9-ship wedge loses something without Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma. The music makes that maneuver a tear-jerker.

Yes, Three pilots and at least 68 killed on the ground. Stationed at Sembach AB, I taped the 87 show, but forgot the camera for 88 or I would have been at show center. Watch Ramstein88
In that terrific day, you must know that two of that pilots, Capt. Nutarelli and Naldini, the Sunday in Ramstein, but the Monday, they must testifying like withnesses in front of judge Priore, in the process, in the "CASE" of shooting down the civilian DC-9 near the Sicily(Ustica island) probably duing the air battle involved French and USA jets against Mig 21 of Libian Air Force(one Mig 21 fall down in Sila mountains, in Calabria, Italy) the French-Usa wanna shooting down an air who transport Muhammar Gheddafi, but the italian government, made an alert to airplane of Colonel Gheddafi(very friend of Italy), the libian pilot soon hide his plane behind the radar trace of DC-9 ITAVIA with 80 passengers, who was hit by a missile(french probably) direct against the lybian airplane. Nutarelli and Naldini, on board of an F-104 Aeronautica Italiana, was eyes withnesses, and so is very
probable that theyr altimeters was sabotaged, and on Ramstein, during their aerobatic cross(practiced hundred times) made a big crash over the innocent public of the air show! That are the demoniac rules(i vomit...) to defend the "Top Secret of State's Reasons): many innocent italian military radar controller withnes of that battle, had stranges deadly incidents after that tragic air-civilian shooting down happened in June 1980.
The Solo's timing was off, he came over the top too soon. He knew it and put out the flaps and landing gear to try to slow down. He should have just nose dived into the ground. That way it would have only been one. I was there and very close. I got flash burns from the burning fuel spray. No conspiracies, just bad judgement.
A lot less exhuberant than previously - has the FAA clamped down?
They probably had to modify the routine for NA
My top 3 aerobatics teams would be:
1. Blue Angels
2. Red Arrows
3. Frecce Tricolori
Pains me to put the Red Arrows in second because as a Brit i'm incredibly proud of them. But, the Blue Angels are just absolutely amazing to watch and pull maneuvers off incredibly well.

In paese piegato da una corruzione dilagante, da decenni di malgoverno, da uno spreco sfrenato delle risorse pubbliche, chi ha una vera coscienza sociale si impegna PRIMA per ridurre sprechi e corruzione, e poi, magari, ANCHE per uno spettacolo magari superfluo, ma di certo non disonesto.
E questi aeroplanini, tra l'altro, sono stati progettati ben prima che il gruppo Leonardo esistesse.
Se l'impegno nel criticare fosse profuso nel denunciare (realmente, presso l'autorità giudiziaria, non con commenti su un canale YT) le storture che ogni giorno vediamo, anziché limitarsi a criticare gli aeroplanini, le cosa andrebbero meglio. Forse non bene, ma un po' meglio sì
