Have loved Emmet for a long time ... even when he was a wide eyed innocent coward - not coming to terms with his sexuality and trying to live up to the expectations of his bully of a father.
Emmett needed to break away and grow up. But Travis's "I don't love you back" was brutal and cruel. Who says that ... especially to someone he's sleeping with?
Emmett has been on a journey. And so has Travis ... he finally got over himself ... and the husband he lost.
Good that Emmett gave Travis a heartbreak - even though it lasted about a NY second - instead of giving him a second chance as soon as he expressed interest in wanting more than friendship.
And great that these two - finally - are at the same stage of life. Ready for love. Ready for each other.
When a man says "you're beautiful" to another man ... wow. Just wow.
Thank you writers. Now ... show us an example of a healthy gay relationship - and let them be happy.
We don't need reinforcement of the tired old cliche that gays don't get a happy ever after ... by killing off one of them or breaking them up some way. If that happens, a whole lot of viewers will dump the show.

@@MM-fe9mz There are some great characters but Travis' scenes tend to include Vic (who is the other best character on the show) so you won't be missing much if you stick to clips. That way you won't have to experience how awful some of the 'Marina' fans are as they actively campaign against Emmett having screen time, on twitter.
