- So now that the Expropriation Bill has been adopted by the National Assembly it will be sent to the National Council of Provinces for concurrence. Importantly it would allow no compensation to be paid to landowners under certain circumstances. On this, land expert Prof. Ruth Hall from the University of the Western Cape joins us.

It's not just your property they can expropriate your assets as well. It vaguely tells you it can take any of your assets. It will be selective on people according to what 'they' think. I love she says there is a misreading it sounds vague and open to misinterpretation. The court is only the land court not high court with you having no right to legal representation. You have to represent yourself. The vagueness is going to take land.

Land expropriation with compensation is okay. Most country has that. In US its called eminent domain. But it has to be strict. the process must be clean and fair. Compensation must be fair. But South Africa's corrupt government doesn't give confidence
