Ngl at first I was turned off by the Book 1, but now I admire them going against the grain with the design and focusing on an aesthetic that can be worn off the court unlike 99% of the competitors today. They do look like a classic Nike silhouette that you can wear out in town, I just hope the performance on the court is up to par. Lebron 21 looks fine. I think I like the 20 more but they’re so similar.
Yup, there's a lot the general public doesn't know about the design process, they just think the designer makes something for the player without their input. It's actually the other way around, the athlete has to okay the samples every step of the way.

Those Book1’s are nice to me. I like the minimalist design and the “wear it, anywhere, anytime” vibe they went for. I will definitely buy a pair or two. One mainly white colorway, and perhaps that orange colorway. 👍

I honestly didn't realized that d book's shoe didn't have a traditional logo that athletes typically get for a shoe. Kinda wonder what a d book logo would look like if he were to have one.
On the black colorway that was teased in a short video on Book's Twitter page, you can clearly see that he has a unique logo. It's kind of like the Detroit Tigers "D" logo but the D is more mixed with a B.

Please please give us those Book 1's in a cream colorway no goofy ass colorways all one tone. White swoosh or continue the theme of all cream and the right cream being Travis Scott/Micheal Jordan fragment hoodie and thow in that snake skin and add a second pair of laces that can fit the colorway. Also in terms of his 2nd shoe cuz design cycle give us that swoosh treatment one overshadowing the other like the Lebron 20's. That backwards swoosh on the all star 20's also the best placement ive seen.

It was influenced by an AF1 and Blazer. He wanted the design to be worn on and off the court and I think he got it right
