Such a beautiful song.. from a beautiful and haunting album, almost every song on this album brings me to tears, considering the circumstances of the very talented Aleah Starbridge and the lyrical inspiration behind these songs... my mom is battling with cancer right, can't imagine the emotions she is feeling dealing with it. Aleah's angelic voice allows one's soul to weep yet sooth and calm all at the same time. art can be at it's purest form with such urgencies of life. this album is a prime example of that.
what a coincidence... this very morning in the car I heard this song, and several more from this beautiful album. Aleah(RIP) and Swallow the Sun united...could only result in sublime music. Rest In Piece Aleah Starbridge what a haunting voice.. ..but looks like you haven't reacted to KYPCK (Kursk in the Western Alphabet). It is a Finnish metal band, and they were formed in 2007 and sing in Russian. they have their own genre called Doomsday Metal. There is EX-Sentenced members. The intro got me thinking "where did I hear something similar?!" and then I figured out it was call of ktulu by metallica, just a coincidence of chords and notes. I liked it a lot !!! it felt melancholic but also relaxing, that beautiful voice ufffff the best !! I missed it if the video is official, I just think it doesn't match with the music, they have a different vibe. Although, I liked the last part with colours and not that shade of b/w. Another thought.. "broken mirror" it's super cliché, old, dated.
Not when you realize most of the songs from this album are about Vocalizer's cancer journey until she died back in 2016. It hits differently, it is understandable that some of the tunes turned out to be 'cliché' since she was running out of time... literally.
