    Great video my friend! and great picking, these are lovely locks, as you said are very fun and interesting to pick.
    You can gut it, there is another screw (one for each half of the cylinder) in the bridge that joins the two sides of the cylinder, you have to unscrew it, sometimes there are two screws, one over the other in that hole, not easy to loosen up, but ones you take them out, the core will go out. It worths to make a gutting vid about it ;o))))
    Thanks for showing my dear friend! ;o)))

      Went to watch LockpickingMX's video on this to see if there was a way to gut it and sure enough I was going to come here and make this exact comment. Thanks for the info Tallan!

      If I figure it out, I might do a gutting on the side channel! can the core be removed from the front without a follower and replaced?

      @@LockNoob I´m not sure, the pins can be a problem, the plug has a lot of holes, probably you will be able to do it but it´s a risky work. May be you can made a little followers and pull out them throught the cam gap...

    What an interesting lock and such a shame you would have to cut it in half to gut it. Having said that I would have no problem cutting it in half, depends how curious I am 🤔.

    Can I send you a lock I affectionately call my Nemesis? I just get nothing on any pins and gave up on it.... how can I send to you?

      Holy crap. I spotted a flat earther out in the wild.

    • @matt79de
      @matt79de Před 2 lety

      Well, BosnianBill suggested to never send out a lock you can't pick, because that lock wants to teach you something. We all have our 'naughty bucket', so put it there and get back to it later.
      Personal story, just to drive the point home a bit more: I have a very simple BASI lock, that lingered there for like 10 years. It was my first training lock ever and i got it with my first pick set. I for the life of me couldn't SPP it. And at some point i figured why: It *is* an easy pick if you knew that pin one sometimes gets caught up (for whatever reason, because they're all standard) and then would need a bit of extra love. Ten years for that lesson... So, maybe figure what your 'Nemesis' wants to tell you first and only then send it to Lock Noob. 😉
      I however supect that Lock Noob happily will share suggestions what things you could try. So maybe share the type? And speaking of the type: Try to research it online. I bet more than one other picker has a video about picking (and maybe gutting) one of its brethren, which may be a great help.

      @@matt79de it's just an ERA padlock. Very average looking but I get nothing on any of the pins and I've tried multiple picks. I figured there was a seized pin so I flooded it with lube and all pins move freely but I get nothing on any of the pins at all.....I can't work it out.

    • @jameshall1300
      @jameshall1300 Před 2 lety

      @@sleepingwarrior4618 whatever you prefer 👌 in a more helpful reply to your comment, have you tried oversetting the pins? Basically you hold all the pins up as high as they go, apply tension, slowly release tension and count the pins as tjey drop until just one is left, then try to start picking from that point. Sometimes helps to get a tricky lock started. I have a Yale euro cylinder that I can do in a couple minutes using that method that I can't get any feedback on at all otherwise. I think Bosnian bill showed how to do it in a video, but there's probably guides on CZcams about it if you can't find his.
