    Hello thank you so much for the explanation. Going to be in Dubai pretty soon! Do you have any suggestion on which Insurance is the best in Dubai area? Let's say for average income level.

      Hello, there are a lot of factors. Your employer (if you have one) should cover the cost of insurance and they may already offer a great package. But if you need (or want) to buy one yourself, the most important factor is selecting the right network (hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics) that you can use.
      After network it comes down to priorities. For example a 60 year old may have age related concerns and a 25 year old may be looking to start a family.
      Please send me an email and we can have a private conversation about the relevant things for you.

    Amazing video! Absolutely love your content!!
    We are a young family of 3 (parents under 30 years old and a 6 months old baby) and planning to move to Dubai soon! After checking insurance costs, it looked a bit scary (around 26k AED for the 3 of us), but multiple hospitals were listed in the insurance breakdown and they also offer worldwide insurance which we are not interested in. As we want to live in the Damac Hills 2 area, we would like to subscribe only to the Saudi German hospital based in that same community, but the insurance company we contacted mentioned that it was not possible to do that. Do you happen to have any ideas about an approximate cost? Also, if you could suggest a company we can reach out to, that would be awesome! Thanks a lot once again for the wonderful content you make :)

      Hi Emma,
      Thank you for the kind words.
      If either of you have a job offer, then check the company policy first. Companies in Dubai must ensure all employees have health insurance. Some companies go further and offer to cover families as well, which means you might not have to buy your own policy at all.
      However, if you are buying a policy (perhaps the company only offers basic cover, or you are setting up your own business) then you should select the lowest network that covers the facility you want. You cannot select just one hospital, so you will always get multiple hospitals on the network list.

    How much does health insurance cost about as I need to sponsor my mother a dependent visa in Dubai. Just a rough range please. She is 68 and has had health problems over the yrs but is in relatively good condition now.

    • @paul_bennett
      @paul_bennett  Před rokem

      Hello Akber,
      For a dependent parent on a lower policy, you will probably be looking at annual premium of AED 8,000 - 9,000. But at 68 you would need to fill in health declaration forms, so this could be way off the mark. It really depends on what conditions are declared.
      As you add more hospitals to the plan (e.g 50% of Dubai hospitals) the local insurers would increase to about AED 15 - 25,000.
      International providers would be in excess of AED 50,000.
      If you would like to fill in your mothers details here: saleslabb.com/qRFCustomer/62f394c2fee5bd2721418a00
      I can get some indicative quotes sent out you.
      Kind regards,
      Paul

    How to see the cheapest insurance packages available? I'm getting the green visa but i dont intend be much of time in UAE

    • @paul_bennett
      @paul_bennett  Před 9 měsíci

      The most basic policies can be purchased online from multiple insurers like Orient, Sukoon, Daman etc.
      Basic plans have minimum benefits, limits, and can only be used at small number of facilities. But they are the cheapest and they do tick the box for visa purposes

    Hi, is an health insurance mandatory for UAE Dubai residents expats?

    • @paul_bennett
      @paul_bennett  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi, Yes all Dubai visa holders must have health insurance.
      Companies are only responsible for the staff under their employment visa, but some cover families as well. They don’t have to cover families, just employees. The only exception being if an employee has their own Dubai compliant insurance plan already.
      If a company doesn’t insure your family, or if you have a different visa, like an investment visa then you need to insure yourself and your family.
      Additionally if your company offers a lower level insurance than you are comfortable with, you can always purchase a better one independently

    Hi..I m pregnant and my health insurance will expire in the same month of my delivery 2 weeks before my due date..if I renew my insurance they will charge me the same or they charge extra??
    We called policy bazar but they did not give us clear answers..what should we do in this situation??

    • @paul_bennett
      @paul_bennett  Před rokem +2

      First of all, congratulations!
      Yes the insurance company will charge extra premium. The underwriters (who estimate the cost of your policy) will likely add the delivery charges on top, as it is a known cost to them. The amount they will add depends on what hospitals you can go to and how much your maternity package covers.
      For example, if you have AED 15,000 of normal delivery cover, then they will likely add AED 15-20,000 on top.
      If you move insurance provider they will also add similar loading, so I would normally recommend sticking with the same insurer. Or if this is unaffordable, some hospitals will offer maternity packages. The reason I recommended still getting insurance is they can cover unexpected complications.
      If you would like to talk about it, email me your contact details at p.bennett@lifecareinternational.com and I will call you tomorrow.
      Thanks,
      Paul

    say immigrant not expats. the call everyone immigrant in usa so they are immigrant

    • @paul_bennett
      @paul_bennett  Před rokem +2

      Hi Njeik,
      Immigrants intend to stay in another country indefinitely. But it is near impossible for foreign nationals to get a UAE passport. At most, you get a 10 year visa (most people only get a 2 year visa with work). If you still qualify at the end of the visa, you can renew it. Otherwise you need to leave. Without a visa your phone contract stops working, your bank accounts can be frozen, your health insurance ends etc.
      Most of us intend to move on at some point. We are called expats for this reason
