The family being the ones to have to discover his body floating just messed me completely up 😭
Prayers to the family. So devastating.
If, as the widow said, witnesses said, “he was helping people“. Then the decedent was alive during the time of this incident and sinking. It’s quite possible that somebody else panicked during the sinking and drowned this guy? The survivors need to step forward telling a true accounting of what happened so that the family can move on.
Stay away from 31st Beach/Harbor,,it's Bad Energy there.... Something Negative Always Happen there.

It's sad. Just as the family was talking about people having no respect and filming, then CBS shows a clip as the family has to witness the tragic discovery. Why did they have to show the family at the worst time of their lives?

He was on a boat, it flipped and where are the rest of the people that was on the boat?
They managed to get out. They were lucky because the boat hit a rock and went over.
He was helping people get on vest and getting them to safety

The widow of the deceased indicated that he was a good swimmer, and he went to save people, who couldn't swim. He was a good Samaritian who didn't think he needed to be saved.
I learning more and more about the validity to: "No good deed goes unpunished".

For the family to find him while shooting a interview proves no police or rescue team did anything when they were supposed to.
I guess I have to say it... IF HE WAS A WHITE MAN THE POLICE DIVERS WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT THERE LOOKING FOR HER HUSBAND'S BODY.
@@CZcamsr1441_ its not easy to see a body in the water, a lot of people have drowned in the water close to shore and were not found immediately.
The water was chopy and that stirs up sand making visibility hard.

He was busy saving other people and didn’t worry about his own Safety He was a selfless man put other’s safety before his own I believe one of those people he was trying to save probably panic and push him underwater or he hit his head off something. In a situation like that people panic and the person that’s right rescue in them usually end up dying or get injured God rest his soul.

That’s terrible for his family but people when you go out on Lake Michigan you always have to wear a life vest. I had a friend that drowned back in the early 90s up on Waukegan area bounced out of the cigarette boat four days later
I feel for his family and friends who were at the pier looking for him when they spotted the man. The whales of the family were deep and devastating. God bless them all.

Awful way to find your loved one. The sister saying ppl were being disrespectful is just emotional right now because I'm sure most of the people there don't even know what happened.
