Perhaps you are very young. Every person who is 30 years old or older knows about Rammstein. For example, I first heard about Rammstein in 1999, or a little earlier. In 2004 I was at a concert. (I'm from Moscow. Sorry for my bad English)

Everytime I wore a band tee to school I had this one English teacher that would tell me how much she liked metal. And one of her favorite bands was Rammstein. Apparently she’s been to many of their concerts too. I’m so jealous that she got to rock out to this song live. Just sitting at home I wanna march and jump around lol.

They are an amazing band...and this song is beautiful.
I saw them in LA for the first time in 2011, again in 2012, in Las Vegas in 2017, and twice in LA this year. They’re the most spectacular live band on Earth! I hope you have a wonderful time in Madrid comrade! I need to see them in Europe at least once
The riff is just brilliant, pure heavy metal. I have no idea about the lyrics as my German extends to ordering the occasional Pils, but man, what a tune. Love it

I don't understand a word they are saying, but the music sure is fucking great.
"Links zwo drei vier" is German for "Left-2-3-4", as called out in a marching drill. In the German military 'zwo' is used in place of zwei (2) so that it cannot be confused with 'drei' (3), since they happen to both be one-syllable words which rhyme. Just like the US military says 'niner' instead of 'nine' so it cannot be confused with 'five'.

@@GeorgeSmiley77 It's got nothing to do with the German military. The "Links-2-3-4" part is a direct reference to the "Einheitsfrontlied" (United Front Song) written by Bertolt Brecht (music by Hanns Eisler) in 1934. It promoted the anti-Nazi Worker's United Front.
How do I know this? Because members of Rammstein have explicitly stated this connection in interviews.

I think you're missing a connection: Brecht referenced marching orders, and Rammstein referenced Brecht, therefore it stands to reason that Rammstein referenced the German military. It might not QUITE be a direct reference, but it's still a reference. I think my comment is valid.

Rammstein are the German ACDC. They write very basic, catchy riffs and put on one helluva stage act.
I love Paul’s backing vocals here. It sounds better when him and Till say it together. Haha.
I read somewhere that they wanted a deeper voice on that part of the song that Till couldn't do. There is an available CZcams video of this song that has side close up camera shots of Paul singing that is excellent.
This is the full raw power of Rammstein unleashed. Every great thing in one video. So much on this video. Love the rocker chick at 3:55 iving her best life. This had to be a religious experience.

That's a thing I don't like about some Rammstein fans, having "tunnel vision" and insistently self identifying with what type of band Rammstein is. One person slammed a new fan like you are doing. Someone could come back and slam you for not further identifying what type of metal band they are. I think that is a waste of time and the band could care less. "Rock on" is a term to meaning to "enjoy the music" and has nothing to do with what type of band they are. WTF! Would you rather be ridiculous and have him say, "Metal on!"?
