John Cena- “i’m still here because you can’t do your job”
I love that line
"Consider me a drug test, Holmes - you're not getting past me."
Yaaaaaas! 👏 👏 👏 😂
To be fair, Roman took it to heart and knocked it out of the park.
@@WhiteIkiryo-yt2itI would've disagreed with you a year ago, but watching Solo and his minions, really puts into perspective, just how much he did knock it out the park🎉
"The wrong Uso quit" John Cena to Jimmy
❤❤
Not "real", because it was kayfabe. Jey didn't really quit...
@@tomseville2345 thats not the point. it was just a good burn
Jimmy's better than Jey, Jey has been a clown show since he left the bloodline
@@tomseville2345 that's not the point, i'm thinking that jey quit the bloodline, not the entirety lol
Eddie’s promo during his feud with Brock got real quickly
Legendary promo! "The truth is, Brock… I am an addict"
@@RasslinUniverse"IM ADDICTED TO THE HIGH I GET FROM THEM !! IM ADDICTED TO THE DO OR DIE FEELING HOLMESSSSS" ✅
THAT SPEECH LIVES IN MY HEAD RENT FREE AND WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE TAKING A HARD DECISION I JUST THINK ABOUT THAT PROMO AND GO FOR IT!
VIVA LA RAZA & THANK YOU EDDIE FOR BEING THE GREATEST EVER
from what i heard, brock didn't know eddie was going to talk about his addictions like this and you can tell he was moved. toward the end you could see lesnar fighting back tears.
@@yarrrriamapirate Yeah. Heard something like that. Brock was genuinely surprised by that promo
@@Yomamaaaaa6969 It was just beautiful
Joey Styles' promo on Vince McMahon and the WWE in 2006 should've got a mention.
Nothin real about that tho. Styles continued to work as a producer for WWE until 2012 after that and the segment itself was to set up One Night Stand 2006.
Doesn't take away from how good a segment it was.
This is about "real" promos and you're mentioning an obviously scripted promo
Styles is and was a fantastic broadcaster. Ecw!!!
Kurt Angle’s promo about Rey Mysterio should be on here
The one about "little boys"?
This is about "real" promos and you're mentioning an obviously scripted comedy promo? Wtf liked this comment?
Daddy chill. Not that deep.
Paul Heyman's shoot promo was the only highlight of a disappointing rivalry.
And Vince said “just draw me money.” And, it worked.
@@gearsofwar3xXxYup
Honorable Mentions: Joey Styles Shoot on Vince & WWE (2006), Paul Heyman's One Night Stand (2005), Bret Hart Shoots on Vince (1997), Jim Ross infamous Heel Turn Shoot (1996) & Jim Cornette's October 27th/December 29th Promo (1997)
That moment Paul Heyman got the mic at 2005’s ECW One Night Stand pay per view was ICONIC. Especially when he said “This ain’t WCW, this ain’t Monday Night Raw, this ain’t SmackDown, this ain’t *EVEN* WWE! This my friends is *E C (BLEEP) W!!!!!!!*
For awhile I thought C.M. Punk’s pipebomb was legit, especially seeing how they cut off the mic on him.
I never thought it was. That was his character. Vince let everything slide if it was to make WWE better.
@@b.e.r.nnetwork8251 I never understood why they cut off his mic if it was all a work.
@@DoubleCee-kq6qd to make the promo seem more real maybe?!? Like a real work and shot againgst vince?!?!?
@@DoubleCee-kq6qdfor the effect cutting the mic off it made it look more real
@@DoubleCee-kq6qd taking for granted that the mic cut absolutely planned to happen, Punk was about to say something about the “Be a STAR” Anti-Bullying program that the WWE was promoting at that time
Shawn Michaels was such a gaslighter- accusing Bret of having Sunny days, when he was doing it himself
The reason why Shawn went there is because a recent prior segment had Shawn stand in the ring awkwardly while Bret went on and on running him down---until Raw literally went off the air. He had no ability to push back and looked weak and dumb.
Even at the time, Shawn freely admitted he was a pain backstage. But the rule of the Kliq was that none of the heat should interfere with live business. When Bret decided to go off script and bury him, Shawn and HHH decided the gloves were off. Which ultimately led to the start of DX.
That's not what "gaslighting" is.
Shawn wasn't married at the time, though. Bret was...
Paul n vinces promo..that was savage..🤣🤣
yesas i Swear Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross Can make the most boring conversations exciting 🤣😂
god damn it I Love the WWF era of Wrestling.
@deanabiepepler ..I know right..2 legends..
@deanabiepepler .I grew up watching it.a teenager in high school..
i'm busy watching The WWF RAW is WAR 1999 episodes. right now on WWE Network.
"Who chose you" was a great line.
Paul Heyman's Promo Back In 2001 Is Still My All Time Favorite And The Pipebomb Comes In Second.
Someone had to say it to McMahon and to make it better, McMahon basically told Heyman to "Give me your best Shot"
“Just 4 years later”
Scott Steiner math promo is the best
Punk saying "who chose you?! Say his name" had me ctfu at home because only new fans wouldn't know
only new fans know who these guys are
*Cues Joe Hendry Theme*
Cm punk is still a newbie to me, anyone that wasn't in the Monday night war isn't old school
@@MrDeano-eu9rg the kids only know of the monday night war from youtube clips. to them, CM Punk is old school.
That and Drew’s smirk and look like “ahhh you fucker, you got me.” 😂
At 2:45, Paige definitely got too personal when she insulted Charlotte’s dead brother.
@DoubleCee-kq6qd if you watch the promo again, you can see Paige’s eyes turn red a bit and she even chokes up a bit on the mic right before she cuts the promo. She clearly didn’t want to say that stuff about Charlotte’s brother but since Vince McMahon was her boss at the time, she had no choice.
@@JoeFlanagan-ii9mb Figured it was Vince’s idea 🙄
@@DoubleCee-kq6qdit was totally Vince's idea since at the time Vince was NOTORIOUS for making talents recite promos Word for Word as he wrote it
@zenos02 What even makes this promo more messed up is the fact WWE never even apologized to the Flair family for not asking for permission to use Reid’s name.
@@Hitomora I didn't think he wrote them directly but just made sure that certain things were written in. Cause if he was doing straight up writing, then honestly as bad as he could be, I think he'd also be considered a fairly good writer. Still seems unlikely however.
Sorry if I sound like a hater, but I’m surprised the Charlotte and Becky Lynch title exchange promo didn’t make it on account of it’s the first thing we see in the intro of this video.
Heyman’s promo to Vince is one of my all time favorites. Along with Eddie’s “new addiction” promo (my #1 favorite of all time), Ziggler’s “sometimes you get nothing” promo, Dusty Rhode’s “hard times” promo, and Bray Wyatt’s return speech.
Jey Uso’s “which one are you” promo, Punk’s contract negotiation promo, Cody’s “ECW gave my father his confidence back” promo, and Mark Henry’s “retirement” speech r some honorable mentions
Sounds like Stone Cold buried Jeff Jarrett
The more you pay attention to Austin's career he literally never put over anyone. Him and Rock where at the same level and Rock constantly put talent over
@@ShatteredHawk He put the entire company over, man, getting battered on national television by his boss. What about Triple H and The Rock? Austin basically put over and saved the whole damn company. This is the dumbest wrestling comment I’ve seen in a long time.
The Reid Flair mention remembered me the "Eddie is in Hell" promo that went very serious very fast, but I think that in that case it was 100% planned and everyone knew
Let me tell you Paul Heyman is a god of the Microphone.
Humans aren't gods
Check out bobby heenan, betta.
And robots dont understand figure of speech
@@rafaelb1095love the brain. Heyman eclipses him.
You didn't have to tell us, we all already knew that.
such a great promo to vince by paul e.!
"Draw Me Money".
"Jeff, why won't you act like this is an AA meeting, and shut your mouth while I share with the group."
- Samoa Joe to Jeff Hardy, so good it made Randy Orton break character laughing.
😂😂😂
Promos are so good
lol great post after that performance by Logan last night, LOGANG FOR LIFE, thanks again wrestlelamia! once again yall deliver GOLD for us, every day too man, its beautiful, oh yeah, once again, LOGANG FOR LIFE
stop it
Where's the miz and enzo....Cena on roman???
"Oh... You want to get real?"
Miz telling Daniel Bryan to go back to the indies is still the best promo he has ever done.
1:18 Just went back and rewatched that Paul Heyman Promo... and knowing all that we know now, goodnesss there's a lot to unpack.
"See, This is wrestling"- Ric Flair
Imagine being blacklisted from a company you created & singlehandedly made famous 😢😢😮😅😅
Singlehandedly would be sort of an overshoot. Vince had a lot of help, money to buy competitors, and talent that elevated the company.
Imagine doing the things he did, that’s even more shocking tf are you talking about feeling sorry for Vince 😂😂
@@spamaccount8979 dude all praise and flowers should go to Vince... He is the reason wwe became a global show... Yes he got help but he was the main man in charge who made all the decisions that lead up to to-day... The reason why I say singlehandedly is cause he put all his money on wrestlemania which was the biggest risk ever when it was created meaning he could have easily gotten bankrupt if the show failed but instead the show was a huge success which led to everything you see today
He sold the company and sexually abused on a worker. So not that hard to imagine.
5:12 I remember everything Punk said in the pipebomb and it’s crazy that what is happening in WWE now and what he said in this promo because Vince is not here anymore (and should never return in this business),Triple H Controls the Booking of WWE now it’s not perfect but No head Booker of any Wrestling company is perfect in life, nobody is perfect in life but now the WWE is better then it was before, and CM Punk is back in WWE after 9 years and Punk is gonna have is first 1 on 1 match back in WWE after 10 years at SummerSlam against Drew McIntyre.
Promos that walk up to the line and cross it, whether it's necessary or not, are the ones that are remembered as these did.
Paul Heyman destroyed Vince his promo on that episode of smackdown was a game changer
One of my favorites is AJ styles telling Randy Orton he would never make it in the indies, and then mocks his signature pose
That flair promo was great lmao
You have to admit that response from Roman was kinda savage 💯
Attitude Era promos: Just draw me money
PG Era promos: aww that was mean
Honorable mentioned:
1. Paul Heyman's promo on WWE guys: Edge, JBL, and HHH - ECW One Night Stand 2005
2. Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan segment where Hogan botched his lines - Smackdown 2003
3. Joey Styles quit promo - Raw 2005
4. XPac promo on WCW - WWE Raw is War 1998
5. ECW Originals: RVD, Sandman, Sabu, Dreamer and Vince McMahon segment - ECW 2006
You wanna shoot cowboy the only reason you were WWE Champion for a year was because Triple H didn't want to work Tuesday's 😂 so true if H stayed on SD after that draft Bradshaw probably never gets a World Title run loved that burn.
I know Vince is getting flack now but show some credit to the one who made this business into what it is today. Telling Paul Heyman "idc what you say just draw me money" is ruthless and selfless.
Hell yeah!
Make me money = selfless 😂
Cena and the Rock was scripted. It was said before that A&E documentary. Idk why people are still saying it wasn’t part of the story.
Got mad respect for JJ. He was right about SC.
Facts
Hard to believe that Austin (after he became THE guy in the WWF in '98-'99) allowed his then-girlfriend and later wife to manage Jeff on-screen...
Punk absolutely punked tf out of Drew with that Vince line
Love Vince, what a legend!!
Screw that I knew Reid, good guy.
2 views and 0 secs in damn ur doing good
I can only imagine the talking to Heyman got from Vince after the promo!
Can’t help but respect Vince for coming out and facing Heyman face to face. And he just listened.
I love how Heyman criticizes Vince for competing against other promoters while using the NWA as a springboard, betraying the company, and wearing that's a badge of honor.
👹
How you getting clips without getting copyright .. How you use it.. Anyone knows
Fair use laws?
I think it's because he doesn't use audio, that usually triggers the copyright thing immediately
It’s still real to me, dammit!
Paul Heyman is the master at cutting a promo as far as managers go
If this list wasn’t limited to WWE, Scott Steiner would’ve been on this list AT LEAST twice… 😂😂😂
Math was funny, but 'gimme the fucking mic' is my personal favorite. He shredded all of WCW that night
What people needs to know that 99% of ALL promos must be approved by Vince but 1
The 99% are "Worked shoots", as they're termed. Even though it's an oxymoron...
They are still promos. Don't use shoot if you don't know what it means
Pipers pit with Mr Mcmahon deserves a mention. He brings up all of his business failures and calls him junior. Vince gets so mad that he tells piper to stand up and briefly squares up to Piper!
Brian Pillman arrives in ECW is a fabulous promo.
Hearing Heyman’s promo read like that really goes to show how much charisma he actually has
It's hard to know what shoots are actually works, as a lot are. What's funny is that long retired wrestlers will still sell things in shoot interviews.
1:07 Paul E was told BY VINCE to cut a promo like that. He didn't want to know what Paul was going to say and Vince was fine with it.
And now it's time for some great WRESTLING CONTENT 😎👍
Pipebombs a work, but it's a good work.
I remember the promo on Reid Flair. You could tell just looking at Paige she did not want to say that stuff about Charlotte’s brother. I mean if you watch it again, you can see her eyes start to turn red a bit because she is holding back her tears and she even chokes up a bit on the mic right before she cuts the promo.
Why would The Rock have the promo notes on the wrist facing the hard camera?
You don't focus on that when a superstar is on the ring.
He has so many tats no one would notice.
The fun part about the Paul Heyman/Mcmahon promo was hearing Paul recount that the only direction Vince gave him was "Draw me money!" Then telling Tazz that "youll know when the time to choke me out comes!"
Heyman was right
Miz to Byran on talking smack was emotional....im not a huge miz fan, but he gained my respect
Paul heyman and Vince McMahon
On smackdown was my favorite promo on this list and cm punk pipe bomb
Wrestlelamia is king 👑👑👑👑👑👑
Why can't you just play part of the promo instead
Yurrrrrrrrrr
❤❤
John cena’s promo against the rock is when I became a fan of his
I was there for the Roman reigns clap back and for sure as hell felt real 😂
Ric Flair said, back during his first podcast he had, that WWE did not ask him to use Reed's name and it caught him off guard when he was watching.
Pipe Bomb at 5 is crazy
Aj lee oj the Bella twins
#9 should've been #1
Well Let's Me Just Say This, When It Comes To Promos Going Wild CM Punk Can Have An Entire Video On That.
ANYTHING Zeb Coulter said about Rey Mysterio! 😂
Paul Haymen telling JBL that the only reason he was WWE Champion was because Triiple H didn't want to work on Tuesdays.
HBK and Bret Hart, those two had one of the greatest in ring and out of ring beefs ever!
Oooouuu X Woods and Roman promo was soooooo ground breaking! TF outta here
That Jarret vs Austin would have been good
Kurt angle promo on Essa rios was a shoot
I was present when cm punk did his promo I was like damn, and I watching history unfold?
Seriously. That was so good heat. I think that was the one time stone cold was being a big baby about it. It wasn’t anything personal. Just his character. That’s what heels are supposed to do
Heyman's promo felt real.
Cm punk and Jeff hardys whole rivalry had vicious barbs about Jeff's sobriety
Paul Heyman's promo with Vince is what defined actual wrestlers like Kurt Angle or Brock Lesnar & separated them from personas like Austin or Taker. Difference is clear.
Vince is the man
That might have been therapy for Paul
Would've been nice to hear the actual happenings 🤷🏾♂️
Having Punk twice on this list, isn’t surprising at all 🤣
There are tons of superstars who rarely ever went off script, which is kinda boring.
Crazy to think Paul Heyman was 35/36 in that clip.
Jeff owned Austin. Hilarious. No wonder Vince hated JJ and didn’t want him anywhere near WWE. He would have burned the golden goose.
When Haymen told JBL he's only the champion cause Triple H didn't want to work Thursday's.
No wonder Vince got upset about virgins. He knows Stephanie got around backstage when she was younger…
Lmao
Ohhhh yeahhh!
How ironic that Cena called Rock out for leaving the ring for Hollywood, yet Rock never retired and is still there while Cena just retired.
Except rock leaves for years on end and only returns when its benefiting him
So apparently we have Ric Flair to thank for all those micromanaged and totally scripted promos…. 🙄
Jarrett definitely got something right which was the Bible part but the vulgar words part definitely wasn’t just so he could get a reaction, it was just apart of his fresh “Stone Cold” character
