The smoke is due to the from tyres of the main landing gear having to go from 0- 125mph. The passengers would not have felt that l. It was an incredible landing

As an X-Plane 12 user, i can confirm this landing was indeed pretty smooth, but also have to say, it’s pretty easy to make a a330 landing look super butter, because of the insanely tilted landing gear.

The butter effect is beacause, the first pair of wheels haves a spring that decreses the impact force of second pair of wheels. Makes a delay in the tilt, amorting big part of the aircraft weight

I rebuild landing gears, and there is a lot more going on than you are seeing. For example, there is a small rocker switch on each of the mains, and these switches must be engaged before the reverse thrusters are allowed to activate. Also, the gigantic drum brakes - each gear set has two hydraulic supplies. The fwd left wheel has the same supply as the aft right and fwd right with aft left. So if there were a failure of one of the supplies, there would still be braking with two of the wheels and they would be diagonal from each other so the gear isnt put under a twisting stress as it would be if two wheels on one side were braking.
