This generation is pretty shit then if the best they can come up with is mediocre copy of 90ies Sonic Youth. No man, there are good bands of this gen like Turnstile.
stunning and pulse-escalating and melancholic and wandering but with a cautious awareness of the loneliness of brooding and fixating.
They play proper instruments and write 6-minute singles. My God what more can you ask for? It's brilliant.

Not a song that stroke me at first, but with more listens it became my favourite from the album. Amazing piece of music.
Listening to a new Dry Cleaning song is unexciting because it's obvious that I will like it. There's no element of danger to it. But yeah this goes hard.

@@kieron63 It makes sense, really. Both bands share a couple of musical elements. But it's beyond the mere musical aspect: Florence's lyrics, although more abstract, feel relatable to people the same way Morrissey's did back in the 1980s. I guess it's a generational and cultural thing, and I'm glad to be here for DC!
@@kieron63 This band is Intelligent, effortless and timeless. In 30 years from now they will be just as relevant as The Smiths are today. Don’t be that person whom so quickly looks for obvious comparisons.

I can hear Sonic Youths "Washing Machine" in the guitar but as a more imprint lo-Fi disintegration.
Really quite amazing. Even the song sounds like a super-8 film or photo being developed in a set of underwater slacker memory of all my fav bands from the early-to-mid 90s but importantly unique.
How Dry Cleaning make me nostalgic but also feel like I'm hearing something for the first time is pure genius.
Have this on pink casette on Stumpwork pre-order my tape player is wonky so this will still sound amazing.
