Just built me one with an A1 slabside upper. Had issue with the FSB as it was secured with hex screws instead of pins so I believe it was off and not allowing proper cycling but still an awesome retro vibe and feel. Yours looks like a winner. Enjoy.

Seen one of these at my local pawn shop if it's still there after next week I'll snag it, it's almost perfect with that midlength gas system.
I have the exact same gun with the pencil barrel and all. Love it. Great fun to shoot with the iron sights. Bayonets also fit which I think is cool.
Why is the Front Sight Base "F" marked (06:32)? My understanding is the "F" marked are for Flat Top receivers and not the A2 carrying handle receiver.
That’s my understanding as well. But I think RRA puts a taller front sight post in there to make the difference.
