The 1966 England Team is one of the most underrated teams of the past it was just brilliant and people only mention Bobby Moore because he was the captain but Jackie Charlton his defensive partner was considered by many a better player as he was brilliant with the ball at his feet and a pretty fast player

Edit #2 : There actually is a classic US team with Howard, Dempsey, Bradley. (only a first 11 if i remember). But it's not labeled to a year. just check the US team.

2014 World Cup Germany was such an iconic team, with özil sorta around his prime, the defense a rock and creative wingers with wonder kids starting off the bench. That Götze goal in the 113th minute against Argentina was amazing, the game was so close, and we managed to win, it was incredible.
To make the games more interesting you could do long shots on house rules

1 point for the mathup
1 point for who finished higher in the league(Or who got more points if there are different leagues)
1 points for whoever wins the most trophies
1 point for who reached the most far in the Champions League
And keep the tiebreaker as is.
