Literally used to say this then directed myself towards my no buy year for makeup with very specific exceptions to that decision like my skincare restocks, finding a really good shimmer palette and building up a selection of about 15-20 multichrome shadows.

@puwussssyyyy6653 me neither (I wish!) But this is her job. This is for business purposes for her own personal business. I believe she has said she does this full time (used to be a teacher, I believe) along with being a bridal makeup artist. She wanted to follow her passion for all things beauty and have a job that she genuinely loves. So her collection is bound to be way more extensive than an individual, as she swatches, applies, compares, tests, and analyzes all of these products for us, her viewers. She does get some PR, but can't rely solely on that for products. So, she has to take a portion of her income and pour it back into her business. After all, if Morgan didn't have the items she couldn't do these awesome videos for us. That being said, I like to live vicariously through these gurus on CZcams, as I cannot afford this much stuff either!
@@jilljohnson251 I totally understand that. While the cost may intitally come out of pocket, I'm sure she claims these purchases on her taxes as work expenses. I just don't think you can really make that relatable, which i think was the intention of her comment lol. I'm not critizing her at all, just making light of it because I thought it was funny

@irynak.6696 I don't know about limitations for a single purchase, but I do know there's (I think) a yearly limit to how much of your discount you can use. I think the cut off is around $2,000 off of purchases within a certain time frame.
