FLAMMA has earned a reputable position in the guitar pedal market since its launch in 2019 thanks to its innovative product designs, and the new FC12 Drum Machine Pedal is set to continue this trend. The FC12 provides everything a guitarist needs to maintain a steady rhythm and jam to a backing track without needing external equipment.
The guitar pedal comes preloaded with 8 different rhythm types and a total of 48 groove variations, spanning 6 genres of music - pop, rock, funk, blues, metal, and jazz. The rhythm can be determined with a large rotation dial, with each half of the dial representing its own genre slot. The genre pair can then be chosen using the music genre selector switch, with each slot offering two genres.
This unique user experience design is present in other aspects of the pedal - for example, the user can hold the LED button to control the EQ of the drum sounds via the EQ/SPEED dial, with the left being duller and the right being brighter. However, if the LED button is left untouched, then the EQ/SPEED dial controls tempo only, with the furthest left point representing 40bpm, the middle point 120bpm, and the furthest right 260bpm.
Once appropriate drum machine settings have been chosen, they can be triggered and interacted with by the guitarist through the footswitch. Multiple features have been assigned to this switch in order to facilitate maximum performance flexibility. The footswitch offers standard functionality such as stopping or starting the drum machine after a single tap but also triggers fill mode, which is activated only when the LED button is set to blue.
The FC12 pedal is powered by a 9V power supply, ensuring that the drum machine is reliable and will never depend on battery power alone. The pedal supports standard ¼” input and output and has also been designed with FLAMMA’s signature minimalist aesthetic and small metallic shell, helping to keep the FC12 portable, compact, and easy to use on the move.
