Not only subtitles in english, they doesnt even know how to market, being formatted for imax,like other movies they must of released this in 16:9 for Bluray/4K UHD disks, this would be fantastic and earnt millions.more for toho, they just doesnt even care,afterall he might be one among the director who doesnt care about physical media/home viewing,

I'm still waiting on mine to ship from Japan with the golden figure. First time I've ever preordered anything through a proxy site but I knew I had to for this. Even as someone who's loved Godzilla all my life, this film is truly something special. Already rewatched it several times on Netflix, can't remember the last time I enjoyed a movie so much I had to watch it again. Can't contain my excitement to finally get this shipped to me lol. I only wish it had English subtitles but I'll be more than happy to buy it again when it releases here.

I'll admit i sadly have an old tv. Idk if it's hd or not but it can play the monsterverse movies on there, question is does this thing come with just a standard dvd you can put in any tv (I'm a bit dumb ngl sorry)?
This set is one 4k disc and 3 Blu-rays. They will ALL play on a Blu-ray player (no matter what TV you have) but if you only have a DVD player, it will not play these discs.

I'm not too familiar with region compatibility either, but the disks from this release play flawlessly on my PS5 in the US. It might depend on where you live. I didn't have any issues with my Japanese release of the Shin Godzilla Blu-ray either, and I didn't have a PS5 back then. However, back in the early 2000s I bought a Japanese released DVD of Godzilla 1984 and I ended up buying a region free DVD player to play it.
The Ultra HD 4K discs are region free.
Blu Rays and DVDs are not. 😉🤙🏼
I got around to checking out the Bluray version of the film and it also plays on the PS5. 🤔
Japan and US are the same region! That's why they take their sweet time bringing physical releases over to the US.
I ordered mine from Japan in thinking of getting a second one because in the future it will be worth money and whoever has this set can tell me if it's worth it I'm anxiously for mine lol
I don't know if it will be worth anything or not, especially once the other subbed/subbed versions arrive. Right now it feels very exclusive because it is. But not for too much longer. This is a VERY popular movie and well respected on all sides of the fandom (and outside the fandom as well!)

@@nickdelaney6953 Yes, A Ridiculous, unreasonable price for sure. But that was a video game that was "out of print" and there weren't a ton made to begin with. Hence the scarcity and the prescribed value. These Blu-rays won't be like that I'm sure because they will manufacture a TON of them because they know they will sell due to the popularity of the film. The more of something that is out there, the less it will be worth. Especially when they keep releasing different editions.

Wait a sec...I thought that Both B/W and colorized versions are getting released in 4k but only one disk is 4k
in your video. So does that mean they didn't release the b/w version or u purchased some different edition where only colored one is in 4k. Because many articles said both version are getting 4k BD.
Only one version of the movie (color) is 4k. All the other discs including Minus Color are Blu-ray. I haven't seen them offer a 4k disc of Minus Color. I heard it was streaming in 4k in Japan. I didn't do a whole lot of research. I just quickly preordered the set with both versions + extras.

Sadly I am not in possession of this knowledge, but if I were you could be sure I'd share a tutorial. Right now all I can do is post a link to where to buy this and give advice on how to patiently wait for the English Release.
Damm i have not seen this movie yet and i really want to but since the hollywood godzilla movie was relased this one is only avaible in japan and we have like no idea when it will be out for the rest of the world
My guess is before the end of the year. Companies love making money and they are going to want to capitalize on the world wide success of all things Godzilla before it starts to simmer down.
The minus color (b&w) are also available in 4k?
I can't confirm, but I heard it was streaming on Amazon Japan in 4k. But I CAN confirm that the Minus Color that comes with this set is Blu-ray only.

I don't think so, but it might only be a matter of time before modern players get a boost from AI. I've seen some clips of subtitled versions online but I think those are DIY bootleg rips.

Not currently that I am aware of. But we are expecting an announcement soon as to when the Western release will drop with the subtitles.

I don't know what people you are referring to. There is no official subtitled version available on home video. I can only conclude that they are pirated rips with added subtitles.

There are no English Subtitles on this release. After you've seen it a few times you don't really need them. This is a tide me over until the English Sub/Dub is released.
Don't be scared, it's a fantastic watch either way. And the packaging and discs themselves are gorgeous and well made.

One of the discs is 4k (the film.) There are 3 separate discs for the bluray version of Minus One, Minus Color, and the Bonus Material.

Nope. I believe there was an option available for a steel book, but it didn't contain all the different extras and discs that this one did. I figured there'd be a US steel book release and wait and see on that.
