  • See how to install TP-Link AC750 WiFi Range Extender/WiFi Repeater setup to quickly get rid of WiFi dead zones or dead spots in your home. Tp Link wifi in your house today there are many wifi devices, like air printer, wireless printer, cell phone, laptop, tablet, ipad, wifi lights, wireless security cameras..etc. Just to name a few. They need to be connected to your wifi router network and a tplink ac750 extender will help to extend your network to all these wifi devices. You can perform a tp link wifi extender resetat anytime too.
    If you're a gamer and enjoy serious game play then this wifi extender for gaming will help you out. Get a more solid signal anywhere in your house for internet gaming. Some additional info: This technology device in recent years is also called a WiFi Booster or WiFi Repeater or a WiFi Range Extender too. So don't be confused with the names they are all the same thing and extender router signal out beyond the primary router distance. They are all placed on your network LAN at home or at work.
    One last thing is you are having a tp link wifi extender not working problem, then resetting the extender might be needed. You can do this by pressing the RESET button for 10 seconds and then release while its plugged into a ac wall outlet and has power to it.
    Specifications on tp-link ac750 extender:
    1) small footprint
    2) two external antenna
    3) dual band width 2.4ghz and 5ghz up to 433Mbps
    4) ethernet port for direct cable connections.
    5) supports wifi protocol 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
    6) tp-link RE205 is reasonable priced.

    Thanks for the information. I was frustrated with my network connection for my game console while I am browsing through the PS store streaming trailers, streaming PS Plus games or watching movies on a streaming service, so I thought about looking into a wifi extender, and luckily I found some at a good price, so I recommend TP-Link AC750 Wifi range extender to anyone. Many thanks.

      Btw, I actually skipped the 5GHz setup because I didn't think it was available for me, but it was after all and the device set it up for me automatically using the same info I put in for the 2.4 setup, so that was cool. Also, I should mention that on my second speed test I actually saw the needle get up to 43 mbps for download (on my erratic, premium hotspot account). In the past it rarely got above 30. Upload speed so far is below 8. At times in the past, upload speed was regularly above 20 while download speed was between 4 and 15. I never know what it will be. Speeds are higher late at night so I'll test it again tonight.

      A lot depends on your primary WiFi router speed and what the extenders signal has to go through to connect to your router and your WiFi device...example thick walls, floors, overlapping neighbors wifi signals, router channel being used...etc. Location placement is the key to success for all extenders.

    @irish66 Před 2 lety

    Hello. I never thought of looking for the item by hitting the internet icon button.
    Anyway to backtrack a bit.
    I bought a tp-link extender yesterday. I bought it to see if it would make good internet speed more consistent. I have been using a repeater. That and my computer are upstairs. The router and a booster that came with the router are downstairs.
    I have no wi-fi built into the computer. So I use a Usb thingie instead.
    If I plug out the repeater, and just the use wi-fi "dongle," I see the name of my internet provider and tp-link extender when i press internet icon at the bottom right of my screen. If I click the tp-extender link, it won't connect.
    If I plug in the repeater as well as the extender in , I get an additional option ie. the name of my provider-ext. Clicking that does give me a connection.
    Both the repeater and the extender have slots for an ethernet connection.
    If I connect my computer to the repeater through an ethernet cable. the computer recognises it as ethernet. Although the no wire going directly from the computer to the downstairs router. 3 lights are powered on
    If i I leave the repeater plugged in, but connect the ethernet cable to the extender, a second light comes on the extender. But the computer only recognises it as Wi-Fi.
    Only two lights are powered on.
    But although I see the internet as being on, It won't even connect to speedtest.net.
    When I try to acess tplinkrepeater.net, i get an error message.
    Sorry it's all very complicated. ☺
    Trying to boil it down.
    Using extender and wif dongle only. I can test not out the extender, although one light is dispaying.

    • @nickscomputerfix
      @nickscomputerfix  Před 4 lety

      1) Extender location is the primary key to getting the best signal quality and most distance out of any extender. You might experience interference problems, for example: thick walls or floors, other electronic equipment or extender might be to far away from router...etc. Test until you find the best sweet spot somewhere mid way between your Primary Router and your Wifi device connecting to the extender. This will give you the best consistently solid signal quality from the extender. 2) The Ethernet Port (RJ45) Interface is hardware limited to 10/100M .

      Nyanko Had a similar problem and think I fixed it. It has 2G and a 5G network. On my phone it would bounce and automatically try to connect to both. If you’re using a phone turn off auto-join. Make sure you set the extender strictly to just either one or the other, mine for example I chose 2G since I could not get a great signal for 5G for some reason. Make sure your extender is not too far away from the modem, you probably have a poor signal.

      A lot depends on your primary WiFi router quality and what the extenders signal has to go through to connect to your router and your WiFi device...example thick walls, floors, overlapping neighbors wifi signals, router channel being used...etc. Location placement is the key to success for all extenders.

      If you are using a used or refurbished TP-Link AC750 then the network SSID name might have been named differently. So, if you wanted to, you could do a Extender reset and then go through the setup as shown in my video and rename the Extender SSID to your choosing.

      It was brand new when i bought it maybe a yr or 2 ago. I have very low download speed and a frontier tech told me i had to move this extender closer to the router than i had it...closer to the tv. No middle spot unless i make a triangle using another wall or there's an outlet in the closet. I had to redo set up and i still don't think it's working even though i got a congrats on my cell. The tech also suggested i buy a 2nd extender. Doubt this particular one exists anymore, though.

      Extender location is the primary key to getting the best signal quality and most distance out of any extender. You might experience interference problems, for example: thick walls or floors, other electronic equipment or extender might be to far away from router...etc. Test until you find the best sweet spot somewhere mid way between your Primary Router and your Wifi device connecting to the extender. This will give you the best consistently solid and strongest signal quality from the extender to your wifi device.
