USAF family here. All gave some but some gave all. God bless America! 🇺🇸
The only music that no soldier wants to hear. Thank you my brothers and sisters who gave their lives for us to continue our task as Americans.
Jorge Romo we will remember them.
We play this at 2200 every night, albeit not echo.

Played beautifully at my Dad's grave. 20 years later, my Grandson played it over his grave. Always breaks my heart.
As a member of the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS DRILL TEAM AND HONOR GUARD i heard that haunting song and saw the faces of 19 families . the pain in their eyes is forever etched in my mind, and in 2000 i stood on the other side of that line and heard it as it was played for my son
I play taps on Memorial Day and wish to do it as much as I can- I am very sorry for your loss I know how hard it is
I'm sorry 😔 for your loss.
I grew up military. My father served in the US Army for 20 years. Taps has always given me chills. I had no idea Echo Taps existed. Haunting. Goosebumps all over and teary eyes. Thank you for sharing!
We will remember those who died.
Yeah I too had the privilege to play this on a rainy memorial day with a fellow high schooler at several cemeterys in SW MN in 1992 for the annual tribute. Very humbling. I have many relatives in the service and it reminds me of they're contribution always.
R.I.P. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!!! 77yrs ago.... time is 0748 HST...
I love this rendition of Taps.
It’s called Echo Taps..........
Haunting and respectful.
If you are watching this, and have served, know that there is more good our there than bad. And I salute you
The only bugle call that no parent or guardian wants to hear
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE VETERANS
and to those who lost someone in the service I am truly sorry my most sincerest condolences to you and your families
The most haunting song known to mankind.
Every time I hear taps played, I am sitting beside his casket with the flag folded in my arms. I don't see anyone else in my mind.
I will be sounding this with a very accomplished trumpet player for 911 this year at a special event. She will play the lead and I will play the "echo" part. Thank you for this. I play Taps for a number of veterans funeral services each month with BAA but this will be my first echo in a long time.
Outstanding
Used this for a memorial service thank you
Wonderful song, support those who made this country and still are making this country FREE
Very beautiful. I have the honor to play this piece this year for my band 😢
I’d probably be crying while I played!
Beautiful much love God Bless America ✝️🇺🇸🇮🇹💚🐘
Beautifully done. Thank you to all who have fought for my freedom. I and this country wish you blessings. When I see any serviceman,I honestly look at you and say a prayer for you all. Thank God for the brave

Land of the Free...Because of the Brave...Happy Memorial Day
Every damn time I hear this I tear up even if its a little
thank you for that beautiful song and god bless the people that have gave thair lives for this contry rip army merines navy air forced thank you
30 years ago while serving in the military I was put on funeral detail. The first couple of funerals we did they had a single bugle player. A live bugler will make anybody break down. We did our 3rd funeral and they had 2 bugle players. One echoed the other. Omg that was the hardest funeral of my career. Tough to stay disciplined while listening to that. We all had tears rollin.
Thank you to all who served, and especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget.
Thank you grampa ill play it for you because i don't know if anyone else will. Rest in Peace.
It is with a heavy heart that I play this call to honor a great American,Patriot, and USAF Staff Sargent Gordon Leo Kelsen. Thank you for everything sir, God speed.
this song always makes me tear up. but now that i heard the echoed version, i just remember how much our brothers and sisters have sacrificed for us, and how they protect us in ways some of us can never comprehend. Rest in peace to out fallen brothers and sisters.
God bless the men and women who have died to give us our freedom. Rest in peace
come on guys show some respect for the fallen veterans. They are the reason that today we are free. show some respect
Taps were played every night at lights out at every post I was stationed at.i always enjoyed hearing them.god bless America
Thanks for those who served and serve. Always thank and remember veterans
Thanks for posting this. As many times as I hear Taps played, it always pulls on the heart strings. As a Patriot Guard Rider, you hear Taps often. It never gets easier or routine.
Beautiful rendering! Thanks for posting this and honoring the vets who have given their all so we can enjoy the freedom and abundance of living in the USA.
I want to be able to play this at a service. That would be so awesome.
Truly haunting and inspirational. It's interesting that DoD's official position is "Taps" is only intended to be played by a solo bugler, so "Echo Taps" isn't authorized.
I could point out that I was an active duty Army trumpet player for 10 years and have rendered Taps - always solo - hundreds of times. This was something I did on a whim one night because someone had mentioned how a friend and I played Echo Taps for my hometown local Memorial Day service. Regarding the DoD position on Taps, I'm well aware of that. A good acquaintance of mine, Jari Villanueva, who literally wrote the book on military bugling, has advised me that while Echo Taps is never authorized for a funeral, it's ok to use for a memorial service that's not specifically tied to the military.
A Great Rendition !!! Thank you !!! I will be playing this on a loud speaker Monday Memorial Day on my front porch at 3:00 est to be part of Taps across our great country !!!
You know I just like it cause of the droning trumpet it is
Emocionante!
thank you for your service
My Salute Goes Out To All Of The Veterans That Served Our Nation!, And My Salute Goes Out To Fallen Warriors That Died Defending Our Great Nation.. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

It was Memorial Day yesterday. May 25th 2020. Anytime it’s Memorial Day, remember it’s not just a holiday. It’s honoring our follow brothers and sisters who have passed away dying for our country. Recently, I’ve had fellow sailors pass just this year from accidents.
Thank you for this. Very Moving and beautiful. From a Veteran originally from Plainview Nebraska.
Godspeed to the fallen
I break down EVERYTIME, I hear this. Makes me think about all my family and friends, that's gone. "HORAH
Almighty merciful God. Grant everlasting life. Amen.
Hauntingly beautiful.
May all rest in peace with Jesus by their side, least we forget, our prayers and thanks always.
I play this every night as we go through this pandemic
The people who disliked this need to learn respect they die so you don't have to
Unless you are willing to pick up a rifle, I suggest you stop criticizing the ones who are and be thankful for their sacrifice, wether you agree with it or nor
Thank you
Coming up on Memorial Day 2022. I found this. Echo taps ... Wow
THis is marvelous, Patrick! Thanks for the services YOU have provided for over the years!
wondeful video and echo taps playing.
the 2 people that dislike this don't know about the people that have fought for freedom now and forever.

Taps is the last song that who so ever served to played over their graves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolute perfection. Thank you for uploading this version.
Thank you so much for this! Helps very much!
I have to play taps for veteran's day at my school monday, and this helped a lot. Thank you!!
As I sit here on July 4th, 2022, listening to this song being played at Ft. Detrick at 10:00pm, it occurs to me that I, in fact, have no idea what the true price of freedom is.
Thanks, it reminds me of why and that my best is just not good enough!
Beautiful, Patrick! I'm sounding 'Echo Taps' here in LA tomorrow and I'm practicing with your excellent recording this evening. Well done!
I'm honored - thanks! I had no idea the impact this would have when I posted it, but I'm glad that so many have viewed it and liked it.
God Bless America...
I'm in 8th grade and I have to play this tomorrow for a school Veterans Day event with an echo and I'm really nervous 😩
Briana, I hope it went well!
How did it go Briana?
Lol so do i
I’m playing it this year at my middle school, I’m also in eighth grade
I just did today I’m in 8th grade
Rip Rick May.
Godspeed you magnificent bastard.
It's perfect, the part about my family military funeral that made me faint was the 21 gun salute. All I could feel, hear and see were the bullets that killed him. It was like living it all over. He deserved the honor, I just couldn't handle the sound.
Never forget the fallen

+Chris Phillips Thanks for the kind words - I had no idea when I recorded this, mostly on a whim, and posted it, that it was going to have the response that it has, but I'm glad now that I did it.
The seven that gave a thumbs down, haven't a clue what this means to us "Brothers and Sisters"..........R.I.P. one and all......
Patrick...I think you and I are related....Gleasons.

had to do that a lot in my high school... nerve racking but enjoyable.
+ABLE RAPTOR I have to play echo to a dam auotmated bugle at my legion Post still trying to break the dam thing
A friend and I have to play this and fanfare for the common man today at a school assembly. Vets from our county are coming in and I’m nervous to mess up in front of them.
Don't worry about it - just go out and play the very best you can. A chipped note in the context of what it is, isn't a big deal.
@@patrickgleason6610 I played it perfectly:)
@@theblanketgoblin That's great to hear! Thanks for supporting veterans and those who have passed having served their country.
@@patrickgleason6610 I’ll always support the vets! My great grand father was a soldier in Vietnam and I myself am thinking of joining the national guard
