Kaweco Sport - $15-20

Waterman 55 - $150+
Opus 88 - $120

I don't really want to just link to where to buy them because the prices and deals change all the time. It's probably better if you shop around a little and find what works for you. You can always look on Amazon but not all of these are on there, and I can recommend websites like:
www.jetpens.com
www.gouletpens.com
www.goldspot.com
These are websites I have shopped from in the past with a good experience.

Your obsession of pens has grown my obsession of pens
I read that as "obsession of penis"
I was about to post this! #Penlife
@@hansgreutmann4495 #penisland
right!?!
Laners C lol thank you
I've really taken to this bloke, love that what you see is what you get. He's not trying to impress anyone, shoots his videos in his kitchen and he's got a lovely dry sense of humour, so you not quite sure if it's meant to be funny but it is. He's certainly a little off beat which makes his videos a pleasure to watch. Thanks for being real Peter.
No one could write my impression as you do, Niki. Thank you :)
Well said.
U just figured out for me why I found him so interesting.
Niki Bechus I can tell your British “ bloke “ 😉
First few videos i used to think he is stoned or something. But now i get his style.
I'm not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but I've fallen in love with pens and the idea of being an artist thanks to your channel. I love the stuff you put out and just wanted to say thanks
Jordan Chaput I disagree, you are an artist
SHOW US YOUR WORK
Ditto the original comment. Thanks Peter!
I found this channel through watching caligraphey vids. Idk if thats how u spell it but yea
I read that "I've fallen in love with penis"
but then again
who hasn't
I want someone to look at me like Peter looks at the Muji pen
I see you. I _SEE_ you.
Rosie Mulray Ha! Nice.
I have a muji pen, i understand.
totally doable.
Amen
"Yep, there is a PenCon and it's as crazy as you'd imagine."
Then it's just boomers standing around doing nothing

Apparently they are people who are earning a living on the weekends (the ones selling pens), and people(buying pens) who spend their hard EARNED living on something they enjoy.
X-change, X-out, X-oner8
It was a joke.

Whatever.
Bro it probably get *so* lit at PenCon.
Now we need your TOP FIVE FOUNTAIN INK : P
Yes!
+1
I am sure his inks contain absinthe, or either mixed with crack! 😯
One for each and every ink color ever made
It’s so cool that he has such a passion for his pens that he treats them like kids. I adore it
I find him very attractive. Like not that he's like REALY sexy or anything, just his personality and he seems so sweet and he is pretty cute too lolll
Ask him out already
My first pens were Twisbi and LAMY Safari which I learned about from Peter’s reviews a few years ago. I was an experienced pencil artist, but got turned on to the idea of pen and ink drawing. I’ve never looked back.
Oh stfu peter 😂
He had me at "I'm ready for any eventuality."
I want someone who talks to me like we’re in jr high. Sigh.
This is the most heartwarming sponsor shoutout ever.
It's like Bob Ross
Thanks for doing this, Peter. Excited to grow my collection and with the help you've provided I can narrow my efforts.
I always love coming back to rewatch how much fun you had with the muji pen.
just discovered this channel last week prolly watched like 4 hours of content already . great channel , great art , great personality .
I discovered this channel a couple of months ago and I've seen almost every video on the channel lmao.
Dr. peter is the best!
I love the "calm" you have Peter. Refreshing.
I love the Opus/Pilot hybrid. I always get a yay-I'm-doing-art! feel when I use my parallels!
This channel brings me joy, in my heart, in my hand and in the paper

I liked this comment 5 months ago, came back, forgot what is was, LOL’d again.
@@henryforster8101 People still do that sometimes.
Thanks for sharing your recommendations on the Top Five pens and the various inks! I have some of them, but I am always on the lookout.
im glad he has time to make videos on his university course. he is my favourite youtube because he is so unique and eccentric and nice
I don’t even draw but I just love your chaotic energy 😂 big fan
This is great, Peter. I love the fountain pen reviews!
i would love to see a. vid of you going through your fav drawing supplies fx, erasor, pencil, marker, coloring pencil
You nailed exactly what I love about the little Kaweco fountain pens and my TWSBI. Lamy is great too! I own two and they're incredibly smooth and reliable.
I've heard the Faber Castell ones are great! I got an aluminum one with an extrafine nib as a gift and it writes such thin lines, it's awesome.
TW = Tai Wan, BI = Pen in chinese
TWSBI = TW's BI = Tai Wan's Pen
Actually TWS is SWT reversed, sān wén
táng 三文堂
So the abbreviation would actually translate to 三文堂笔
I don’t even care... it has just become my absolute favorite pen.
The twsbi eco is my favorite. It's so smooth to write with. That muji test scribble was pretty impressive!
TWSBI definitely makes a good product. I have a few of them myself.
@@x-changex-outx-oner8224 I like that its able to write even when it goes long periods of time unused.
@@GhoulScoutCookie
That is one of my favorite parts about it. The other parts are the nibs and they feel pretty solid for a plastic pen.
Bought my first kaweco because of your videos yesterday. Good to see it made the list! Excited to doodle!
Only ten dislikes. the audacity of people to dislike such a kind person.
It is at 77 now which both disappoints and amazes me
Didn't you know that being a moronic azzho
Is held in high regard and is rather in fashion these days...especially from the pc gestapo!😯
We’ll dislikes are now a thing of the past
Thanks for the sponsor timer!! Everyone should do that
Amazing video very real and very true. I like that he does not show off his things he simply wants to show you what he thinks based on his experience using these pens. I really like the way his videos don't have music and you can really hear him. He seems to be like a god of pens from another time which to me is very interesting in times when videos on CZcams are not all good, this one stands out from the rest.
Thank you for your honest and fun videos! I just might have to check out that Kaweco Sport!
I was very happy to see you start using fountain pens. Now I can say we share a passion (an expensive one).
I've never written with a fountain pen, never even thought about it, but was still captivated enough to watch this entire video. I want one now. Great, a new obsession. Thanks a lot.
You will love it. It is Zen like. There is a strong connection between writing and your brain and thought processes, and writing with a smooth fountain pen elevates it to joy.
I got the TWSBY ECO after asking you for advice on a beginner fountain pen and I absolutely love it.
The Muji rubber spot is intended for a sticker. Some Muji fountain pens come with dot stickers. I marked my Muji pen with a white dot sticker (not from Muji) that I colored in using the ink color I’m using. Easier to recognize especially if you have a few Muji fountain pens with different ink colors.
I've been playing with my new TWSBI Eco (medium nib). It's lovely. Very smooth. Great ink flow.
The muji was my first fountain pen and I love it. Your little spill about square space was pretty good. And I have to say that it's so nice to see a young man so easily satisfied there is a very lucky young lady out there..I smile every time you say how satisfying something is..great video as always..very satisfying
When you see Peter doesnt have dislikes :). There's still hope .
He can try out my Schaeffer pen then. Disappointed the guy at the art store even let me walk out with it.
He has now :(
The Ol' Riky Marty Jinx strikes again.
I keep saying, once you mention it, they come. So zip it peeps 😃
@Öykü Elif Şare Its a bit of the pen and the nib. It just doesnt flow properly. I have to press heavy and it dies after just a slight marking
It became clear to navigate through good pens, thanks really 🙂
I absolutely love Lamy pens so much. They are the only pens which make writing an essay enjoyable!
I appreciate you Peter! Thank you for everything you do
The “oil” they give you with the TWSBI ECO is silicon. Plus...you honestly have the most beautiful script handwriting I have ever seen. It takes an artist to do that...so it fits. I have the orange Opus 88 (my favorite pen of many fine ones) and never would have thought to stick a parallel nib on it. What an amazing testimony to its feed that it can keep up with the flow demand that nib puts on it.
This is the one video I always needed but never knew I did
Lol. I like your sense of humor. It's unique and legit funny :) On a serious note: great information. Thank you.
"... enthusiast level fountain pens.. you'll know when you get there"
😂
Idk what about this video that gives off a calming effect on me. The way he talks, the little awkward pauses 😁
Peter Draws is probably one of the 3 or 4 people who does sponsor ads in a way that I can truly enjoy to experience and not immediately roll my eyes and skip through.
That, and his sponsors are actually good sponsors. 😋
Thank you for this vid: The “Waterman 55” is now on my pen-bucket-list 👍
I had a Waterman in high school. I'd come across several vintage, yet still in great shape lever fill pens in the barn, and I think that the Waterman was my favourite. Sadly, that was almost 40 years ago (I graduated in 1985), and they were lost during several moves.
I accident stabbed myself with one of my tech pens the other day.
So now I have a tattoo
Congratulations
Cosmic Cola The invention of the tattoo!
Hahaha
Which one do you have?? I've been loving my tech pens lately. I want to get my hands on a set of faber Castell, but they've been discontinued 😪
Believe it or not.....that's how tattoos were invented!😜
Cool video.... I'm inspired to get me a pen again. Had a cheap one years ago and i wore it down to the breaking point.
I love this guy. Seems like the nicest person EVER. And his drawings are sweet
This video is super helpful as I haven't tried out fountain pens yet for drawing but I really want to.
He put a count down timer for the sponsored ad... and I appreciated that.
If you’re using Carbon ink you need to give your pens a good wash more often as it is pigment not dye based.
I like Schmidt nibs, like the one on Muji Pen. They’re underrated.
Great job with the sponsorships. :)
The green ink looks like Rohrer and Klingner Alt-Goldgrun, one of my faves. Loving that Waterman. Maybe someday I'll get one.
Oh nice, Jinhao got some mention and that's my fave inexpensive pen. I prefer the 992, 1200, and the x450 and x750, with a couple modified with the Zebra G Nib for that insane flex.
They didn't get mentioned but I like the pretty acrylic PENBBS pens too. They haven't failed me.
Peter is my go to man on all things pen and ink with good reason, experience combined with great humor. Thanks for sharing your smarts once more, and now I’m looking for something equally entertaining on top inks, specifically purple and turquoise blues. Not likely that’s as popular a thing, but you’ve got to have a dream!
I’m already looking at an endlessly glowing lap from Noodlers bulletproof ghost ink USPS delivered which gooshed from a badly damaged cap and thinking this brand seems solid and lasting so far. Holds up to knit t-shirt fabric well. I also purchased a bottle of carbon ink for doodling around and watercolor works, but I really want a rich beautiful royal purple and a Caribbean blue that would make your eyes blush with envy.
I just bought all your books! And I just love you so much 😭😭😭😭❤️
This is my first video of yours I've ever seen (my husband is an artist and has watched a good bit)-- but I really enjoyed this video! You add some flair to a subject that can be dull sometimes. I adore fountain pens, though. Thanks for the video!
i’m a simple man, i see peter has a new video, i like and watch that video
A Peter Draws video a day keeps the anxiety away
His sense of humor is so underrated, so unique 👏
You are one of my top five favorite CZcamsrs.
Wow! Few years ago when people recommended you fountain pens you said you didn’t like. Now look at that....plenty of collection! :)
Watched this video before I owned a fountain pen (and subsequently bought the Muji) and I’m watching it again because I love it and now have two pens! I promised myself I wouldn’t start collecting, but now that I have two, I find myself pining for the Opus 88.
Wow Peter, your skin looks soooo soft and glowing! :)
Wow. I’d love to draw with any one of these pens 😍
Still have my Twsbi Eco and love it. Inspired purchase, by you, got not disappointed in 2 years of using.
Just a fine drawing pen.
Peter
I have three Lamy Safari fountain pens with broad nibs and I use Lamy ink.
No problems with their writing or ink flow.
Cost $55 Australian.
Only problems were that two of the caps became loose after a few years and had to be replaced.
The pen with a cartridge lasts about one week with a lot of writing and I use it when travelling-quick and easy to change ,no leaks and more compact than carrying a bottle.
Lamy Safari are excellent pens.

Wow this is nice! I really want to try these pens out :) I recently tried out copic markers. Have you ever tried drawing with them Peter? I posted a video about it so feel free to take a look if you need some inspiration :)
Nice art man. Keep on going.
Lol the casual advertisement slipping in
That smile at the beginning... even if it was just an adverting strategy, it made me very happy inside. 😊
Love my TWSBI eco. Haven't tried the Kaweco sport yet, but maybe someday. That pen has a double broad option that really interests me. I wish I had access to a Waterman like that, vintage pens are just a touchy thing.
I love watching your video's you make it so much fun.
You forgot to add the Muji pen to the description. I love how it looks, definitely going to look for it.
Ohhh man, a PENCON vlog would be awesome!!
Check out inkdependence (Mike Matteson). He does a vlog or two at each pen show he attends.
My Lami Allstar works perfectly well, no matter how long it lays down chillin' . I love it. But I certainly want to look into that see trough pen of yours.
Fantastic list of favorites!
Peter: I can give you a top five potato.
Me: Say Yucon gold
Peter: Idaho Potato, some other potato.
Me: Say Yucon gold
Peter: Yucon gold
Me: ahhhh yes, it's all coming together
You're a sad individual.
not many people even know 5 varieties of potatoes though. haha
lol
Sorry but its Yukon
I'm guessing he's a fan of the movie "Best in Show" with this potato bit.
I also made the mistake of using india ink in my Safari and it got gummed up for a long time and I was frustrated. Got some really great ink and flushed the pen out really good, and now it's my favorite pen. So smooth. Kaweco Sport and Eco are in my want list, hopefully I'll get to try soon
I am getting more serious about getting my own fountain pen maybe even pens! I know I have asked about your favorites in a few of my comments and I am interested in you newest picks and in the under $50.00 range! $30.00 or less is even better! Thanks Peter and I hope your having a great day too!
Some pens you might like: The Twsbi Vac Mini is so pretty, and the vac fill system is a lot of fun. And the Moonman mini is cheap and pretty. Another small fun pen that costs nothing is the pilot petit1. And for vintage pens, the Parker "51" is sexy.
I love the pilot petit 1!
i was surprised to see you shown the jinhao. my buddy when he came back from boot and basic, he came back with that pen and gave it to me. not like it was a big deal honestly but it opened my eyes to so many other pens like fountain pens. i then recieved a better fountain pen which was the lamy safari, and i havent had much issues with it. I'm currently eyeballing the pilot vanishing point as my first gold-nib pen but i dont know at the moment.
I recommend the sailor fude de mannen...about $9 on Amazon (needs an $8 piston converter) but has an AMAZING thin-thick line that’s based on angle, not pressure. Try it!
TWSBI has a cool filling system using a unique ink pot. The ink pot has a metal cap and underneath that is docking tube to siphon up the ink when you dock their pen to the tube.
I have three of these, love your drowing.
great reviews!!!! Yes to the Lamy Safari. my go to,. Muji on the way.
“Maybe it fell between the cushions of the couch i dont have”
Yes
Peter stop being so dang cute! I can't afford all these pens I keep buying because you look at me with those dreamy eyes and saying "Ooooh I like that. It feels good."
That ink at 8:30 appears to be Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgrün, it's my favourite.
I bought a jar of Carbon Ink recently because of Peter ☺️. I love the Jinhao pens, very affordable, good quality and lovely to write with.
I got into fountain pens at a pretty early age. I bought my first fp back in 6th grade, saving for a whole year. I got an Aurora Magellano with blue lacquer and got my name engraved. Ever since, I never looked back haha
Love the headband!
I also have a Jinhao 250 along with several other Jinhao pens. The 250 is definitely a nice pen for the money but my top three I use the most are the Kaweco skyline sport, Lamy All-star and Nemosine Fission
Waterman's 55! You LUCKY, LUCKY Dawg! There is nothing like the nib and feed union on a 1920's Waterman's. It is my favorite in my fountain pen stable, and even amongst my vintage pens. It's so good I compare every other new vintage acquisition to it, and found them all wanting. It's my everyday carry, everyday writer. I will never regret purchasing this pen. (If you ever get tired of yours, send me a message.)
“There was a point in my life when I had zero fountain pens.” Yeah, I remember that. It was a very long time ago.
You, I'm at that stage right now
I like that your top 5 turned into a 5 pens I have that I like equally
That smile at the start was... breathtaking
Peter! I think the rubber bits on the MUJI pen is for if they run dry - you can write on them to get the pen flowing again! At least for regular pens that are slightly dry can be reinstated by drawing on rubber surfaces, something something friction.
When I first became interested in fountain pens, it took me years to realize I was using the wrong ink and caused my pens to dry and not write consistently. This led me to forget about them until I just got a twsbi eco and got the right type of ink. Now I'm hooked on them.
Beautiful handwriting and awesome sense of humor. Keep the videos coming :). What's the notebook you're using?
I've really loved watching your videos I'm a calligrapher so I'm somewhat interested in the pens you talk about I bought some zebra fountain pens but I wasnt impressed. Your humor is what brings me back 😊😊
The disposable or the reusable? I think I found the reusable one was really dry and goopy. If I find it again I might tinker with it. Disposable was fine, just like a disposable.
Small correction: Noodler's Black is water based but is in fact also water resistant and 'bulletproof' as the brand calls it. Immune to bleach, alcohol and UV and such I believe.
The Waterman's 55 is the greatest pen ever made. I have three and they're all so very different. Absolute genius design, made incredibly well by both humans and machines from durable materials, with incredible performance and ergonomics and practicality and elegance, logic and soul. And best of all, they're from the late teens and twenties - I'm immediately transported to the time... You're holding one hundred year old memories in your hand, in one perfect little personal device, and keeping it going, to tell even more stories... Forever...
That Waterman has some sexy flex happening. It would have to be my favorite too. Good group of affordable pens! I found some old lead holders and I think I’ll see if they have value, besides that I love them.
