I considered editing this in as an update but since I left on vacation I didn't really have time. The cheaters and toxic players got banned the next day. I got my MMR back within 24 hours.

Third option is a no brainer. Personally, I don't have much data stored on my PC and my phone is plenty for everything else I need.
Also Varsity I just got to the point where about the question with the squad team killing, yeah it's that if another squadmate kills the same person, the entire Squad will get penalty

Indeed it is correct if you're playing as a squad and somehow your teammate kills their friends and then activate friendly fire, it will effect for the rest of them. Even if they didn't do it they will get reverse kill.
Blatant Hacker:
- Loses the game 1-4

- Insults streamer for being irrelevant but gives streamer free content

Glad you had a teammate that helped out. At least there's players that have the integrity to throw as well when there's a hacker on their team. Would have sucked to have them accept the free win

Using cheats in any competitive game says A LOT about the type of individual. One of their traits being massively insecure, losing a game even with cheats is a huge blow to their ego. This is the best way to handle a cheater, and I also feel like i have the most fun when I get the opportunity to shut them down on my own team. Good stuff Varsity.

I gotta say he really made a good speech in the end, very rational and very sensible and a little humours.
I think it's time devs just came down hard on cheaters like never before. No matter if you're using mods, hacks, or special devices.
There's no reason people should be handed automatic losses because they don't have a certain device or the same willingness/skill to hack/mod.
The only people who can constantly beat them or give them a run for their money are the most sweaty players.
I would argue that people that also can beat them are probably cheating as well. Every month for the last three years the cheating has steadily leave gotten worse.

it’s hard to find cheating using irl devices. most anti cheats work by scanning files on your computer for cheating software (no this isn’t invasive don’t worry). with a device separate from the computer, it’s only chance is to see if inputs are “too perfect.” it can be really hard to tell apart super high level play from these devices sometimes. it’s also really easy to make your device slightly worse to go under the radar but still be an advantage

If cheats evolve more and more to be harder to point out by non-kernel anti-cheats, it may become mandatory unfortunately
@@krinos1 Not mandatory. You guys seems to forget there is old good and checked way - pay for human admins to check. This game makes hundreds of millions of dollars but people up top just decided just bots and "anti cheats" are cheaper than real people. Problem is they either don't work well or ask to basically "own" your PC.

When you teamkill once it just says you have it and when you tk twice it shows the whole squad and pops up for only the ppl who don’t have it
(Squad TK only shows up in the second TK and the maestro was the first teamkill and alibi was the second so they were probably all playing together)

I’d be fine with anticheat having access. But I compeltely understand anyone that doesn’t.
It’s sad most FPS games are at the same spot where something like a new full access anticheat is needed to make the gameplay experience better :/

It's fun cheating so I understand why people do it but I stopped it because it feels scummy
I think the saddest part is that people like varsity dont know or understand that by simply running an executable on a windows machine companies can have access to all the files and personal information on the system if they wanted to. Whether the software runs on kernel level or not doesnt change that on a platform as vulnerable as windows, we just trust them not to do malicious things or have bad actors use their software as trojans.
To put it plainly, there is no personal information at the kernel level, it exists on the OS level which all programs you install can have access to due to how windows permissions work.

It does. Reverse friendly fire works in the entire squad. I've trio queued before and one of my teammates tk'd for toxic chat and all three of us got reverse friendly fire.

I've already, been against like 7 hackers this season and smurfing champions/diamonds. Great game. T_T
Regarding cheating: I am willing to suffer quite a bit to have cheater-free games. Times are going to get tougher still and I believe ultimately it will be necessary to tie your gaming account to something that little kids cannot reobtain over and over again.
A first step is tying ranked to an actual phone number, not just having verficiation over email. But I believe we need to go further. I know credit cards are tricky, because you can generate these over and over again, which is also true with phone numbers. Maybe there is a market for something like a "gaming honesty certificate", which requires an independent company checking your (or your parent's) ID and you cannot get it twice, once Ubisoft/Valve/Riot flags you as a cheater? This way at least the gaming companies don't get all your private data. Anyway, brainstorm over.
Problem is that most of the people who have the money are not children. Despite what we like to believe. And generally when they are younger they are 16-18 and are using their own money to get them.

I think you compromise on privacy in more ways than a kernel level anti cheat daily - twitter, your own phone, cameras on the street, online purchase history, etc. Besides, this access is not designed to actively browse your files and look for tax records (which you can encrypt, btw).
I think for vast majority this type of anti cheat in Siege would be a blessing.
He’s not saying the anti cheat is gonna steal his files he is saying that theres a chance it gets hacked and then the hackers have access to all that stuff
