And Niall was the only judge who had faith in Michael, the only chair, and now the other judges are speechless, he heard something the others couldn't and must say he improved so much! . Great song choice, they were amazing! Gave me goosebumps
They are both really good. Michael has that richness and maturity. But I also love the sound of a younger voice with falsetto that will get better and better.
Ryley's voice is unique. He has his own sound. He could be Niall's ticket to the grand finale and that's for sure. I mean look at his audition video. He'd got the highest viewed auditioned for this season and that's a big deal. He created a worldwide fan base already.

These two did absolutely amazing and I must say Niall is killing it as a coach. His song choices have been phenomenal in these battles, he’s really got a knack for this kind of thing. He was also the only one who turned for Michael in his blind audition, which as Kelly pointed out here, is crazy. But Niall heard the potential and really helped him to shine here and made the other coaches realize what they missed out on. He’s also making great choices when it comes to who wins battles and when to use his steal and playoff pass. I’m just so happy for him and it’s been so cool to see his musical knowledge and talent really be showcased. I seriously think he could win this season!

I said in the blinds that Michael was a dark horse, and I was correct in saying so. He is so good. Ryley also sounded great, and continued to show why he was a 4 chair turn. Just a stunning performance overall.
Nah Ryley was the most underwhelming four chair turn in voice history and when put against other contestants, his vulnerabilities showed. While he did hit the high notes and rifts, he was so focused on hitting them that he sacrificed his control and lost a lot of volume. Meanwhile michael was so consistent and really, perfect.

Man, Michael blew me away. The depth of his voice and the control. I haven't seen the blinds but Michael won this battle. I think I also prefer fuller voices over higher voices.
Niall picked the perfect song for these artists. Michael is so in the pocket and smooth as silk. It was incredible!

I know Rylee is a fan favourite, I haven't watched his or Michael B's audition but this is in my opinion, one of the top three battles of the season and both of them absolutely deserve to move forward in the competition.
Ryley is special. He's so young and I worry about the young kids who get thrust into the business. But I'm excited to hear more from him. Beautiful battle - both were great. I wish we could hear more battles. These artists are always so good together.

The look on Kelly's face shows that Niall's years as a #OneDirection band member are being applied as his coaching skills. Voice coaches, staging, art direction, choreography & music video production are front and center. This is why Niall's band won over 200 major awards. Now those collective talents are flowing through coach Niall. Wait until his team enters the studio! The fun has just begun for #TeamNiall.
Coach Niall is going to be the best soccer dad when he has kids! Loved watching him cheering on both Michael B and Ryley Tate from the sidelines and looking so proud for the whole song.

if they made a song together, I reckon it pop off the charts; that was one of the best covers of "Heartbreak Anniversary" that I've heard by far, the runs from Michael are insane, and Ryley too nailing the high section with his falsetto is amazing especially for a 15 year old. amazing.
