Saw this moving tune performed in Stroudsburg, PA in 2014. It brought a tear to my eye and warmed my heart. For all of us who have lost someone we loved too soon, this song can be a source of comfort and consolation.

Willie Nelson is so under rated as a composer.

I have to say he has long been recognized for all of his contributions to the music world. Below is a list of the honors he has been awarded.....al deserved. Amazing man who has insisted on living life on his terms. So.....hardly underated.
He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1993, and he received the Kennedy Center Honors in 1998. In 2011, Nelson was inducted to the National Agricultural Hall of Fame, for his labor in Farm Aid and other fund raisers to benefit farmers.[207] In 2015 Nelson won the Gershwin Prize, the lifetime award of the Library of Congress. In 2018 The Texas Institute of Letters inducted him among its members for his songwriting. He was included by Rolling Stone on its 100 Greatest Singers and 100 Greatest Guitarists lists. An important collection of Willie Nelson materials (1975-1994) became part of the Wittliff collections of Southwestern Writers, Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas. In 2010, Austin, Texas renamed Second Street to Willie Nelson Boulevard. The city also unveiled a life-size statue to honor him. Nelson was honored during the 46th Annual Country Music Association Awards as the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was also named after him. In 2013, he received an honorary doctorate from the Berklee College of Music. The following year, he was part of the inaugural class inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame.

@@Kat-gx3se Still under-rated. He is on the same level is Brahms, Mozart, etc.
