Nice intro to Terraform Chris. I especially like the fact that you started with creating a budget first and not bunch of ec2 instances. This will hopefully prevent someone from potentially getting a large charge at the end of the month from having bunch of ec2 instances spun up while experimenting with Terraform. :)
Wow dude I just discovered your channel and you hit the nail between clarity of explanation, sense of humour and technical depth. Very well done indeed and I hope you're still making content haha!
Thank you so much for the tutorial, very informative, and, you named the UI that I have seen everywhere, but I didn't know what it was!!!! Such a relief that you named it in the first 30 seconds.
Great video, I’m refreshing my TF knowledge for an interview prep (been a bit since I used it). I see you have some other videos too, thanks for making great content!
I seriously can't believe I waited this long to try it and how EASY it was. I still dont see the value in it YET, maybe a more reliable way of spinning up an EC2 but atleast I can tell people in an interview I've used it
One of the things that I find has helped me get terraform into my head is: It's really just cloudformation on steroids, and as an added bonus you don't have to read JSON. Also it's golang, which is arguably the most unnecessary language ever invented, but its nice for those people who find python too easy.
A tutorial aimed at helping beginners build their first AWS resource using Terraform!
Why can't there be more tutorials so short and concise. Some people don't want/need 2+ hours to learn the basic theory. Well done.
Hands down this is THE BEST terraform working tutorial on the internet. Short, to the point, real life use case.. Brilliant! Thank you 🙏

simple and effective, exactly what I was looking for as someone who's not used it yet but wanted a brief comparison to Ansible
Bothered to login to YT today just to like this video. I second the thanks for a short and concise video. Not every "intro" video needs to be 2 hours
Nicely done. I appreciate the humor to keep it from being dry and a very approachable methodology.
exactly the type of no nonsense and very useful/efficient guides youtube needs more of, thanks!
Really helpful for someone, like myself, with no idea where to begin with Cloud Computing!
Thanks a bunch!
Just got linked your channel on Reddit in the terraform subreddit and I'm glad I clicked on it! Fantastic content!
Thank you for the positive vibes! More to come. Anything in particular you are interested in seeing?
@@Wahlnetwork great to hear!
Maybe a series spanning multiple episodes where you/we build out a somewhat 'complex' production environment?
Dude, your tutorials are really good! Dynamic, easy to understand, step-by-step, etc. Good job! I subscribed for sure.

I had a very painful experience with cloudformation and cdk. This seems more like my cup of tea. Thank you!

What steps would you first make if you had multiple profiles involved.
Is it added as a STACK in Cloudformation tho?

I use Streamlabs OBS to capture and Adobe Premiere to edit.
Wahl Network thanks Chris!

Why use terraform for this, couldn't you just do this in the aws console itself ?

i got a job just from watching this video... joking of course but not a bad intro 😛
Nice effort but I was not able to follow and failed to replicate this demo since some of the steps were not explained.
Not beginner friendly IMO
