Here's how I see it ok
Cody won a royal rumble last and lost. Can you afford to do that exact same thing again without it absolutely murdering his momentum? The answer is no cause if Cody fails to do it twice ans they stretch it again, it becomes overkill and you run a massive and very likely risk of people just getting fed up with the waiting and just no longer investing. If you do this same story twice and have him fail to get the belt and try to tell the fans to wait more, it's just too long simple as that
I know you're doing your little lecture of not getting things when you want it but we aren't talking about a few months. This moment should only happen at a wrestlemania, and he's already failed once. To have him fail the leave mania with the belt again and tell the fans to wait even more, it'll go terribly like really terribly
Scenario one makes 0 sense
For that happen you take Roman's 1000 plus day reign and just make it a small side thing for the rock and the wwe will not do that they've spent years building this reign to make it an after thought to the rock
Scenario two makes no sense. Rock won't be a hurdle Cody has to hop in order for him to get towards Roman but Cody already hopped the hurdle with the royal rumble and jf you do that night one it sends fans happy for one day before instantly ruining it night two and putting a bad taste in people's mouths. Also Seth turning on Cody is just useless at this point Cody's beaten him every time nobody really wants to see them fight yet again when we've seen it so many times if that's what they do, it's laughably bad
What really should happen is this. Night one Seth and Cody vs the Rock and Roman. You keep leaving Seth out of the matches when I think that super bowl teaser has made it clear it's probably a tag team match. In that case, the bloodline could win just to cast doubt on Cody
In night two is when you pull the trigger. Idc what little record they want to break, sacrificing this what would be massive moment so Roman can have a record that at this point he does not need will be brutal for the company overall cause it makes Cody look kind of like a chump. You can not keep asking the fans to believe in Cody if he loses every time the big ones there I think wwe has put themselves in a situation where it's Cody or bust. You don't have near enough roster space for Roman to have the title til next year's mania he's already beaten everyone and I don't think he loses the belt at a non mania show the potential moment is just too big
I do agree the endgame is Cody as champ and they need to strike while jts hot and if they don't strike know I think it cools off
I'm 50/50 tho I tgink wwe could want to try and have Roman break Hulk record but even then it wouldn't be the longest reign ever so what good is it? He has 0 chance of every beating Backlund or Brunos reign. To sacrifice Cody's story for a record that in the end really won't mean alot would be crazy but hey we thought last year was the year too so who knows

It wouldnt make any sense if cody won back to back rumbles and lose back to back manias they only had roman retain last year cause to do the 1000 days the next record is to break hogans and no one cares if he breaks it or not its codyâs time now its like the same story as cena and rock cena loses the first time then second he actually wins it

The rock is going to turn on Roman reigns don't trust the rock and remember rock wanted a seat at the table and Paul Heyman said the rock wasn't invited to the table
