He wasn't perfect. He had a a lot of drops that would've gave him even more yards and TDs but he was mostly great.

There has never in the history of the NFL been a better connection between QB and receiver so quick and so flawless of a transition.
Most NFL QBs aren't lucky enough to have the number one target from their college days get drafted onto their team. Burrow was right to lobby for him to be the Bengals' pick. He knew the level Chase was at as a player, and knew there would be zero need for any rapport to develop since it was already there from LSU. I fully expect Chase to put up Justin Jefferson type numbers in the near future.
His quickness and adjustments are off the charts. Another one is he has ridiculous strength for a rookie. He hasn’t even hit his peak yet. Sky is the limit for this kid!
In one of his games mic'd up you can hear him say " either I'm really really strong or these guys in the nfl are really weak"
Generational talent IMO. He’ll be a HOFer one day if he remains relatively healthy his career.

Chase had a great season and I hope he'll make it back to the SB again and then some also. And tbh the way the SB ended that the Bengals have some unfinished business now.

This guys makes it look so effortless. Eventho JaMarr is a pretty short receiver, he is strong, hard to bring down, makes great adjustments in full stride, and his gamespeed is like a 4.2 40-yard dash. Simply amazing. This Bengals team will be good for a long time, and I can see this guy being a top 3 receiver year in and year out for many years.

His ability to adjust his body and make the catch especially in 1on1 coverage is the best I think I’ve ever seen he has the talent to potentially go down as the greatest receiver of all time as long as he keeps getting better
He has a strong father figure who happens to be friends with the father of Joe Burrow. No primadonnas here. What does Chase do today? Shows up and Raising Canes and works the drive thru. The character of this team is outstanding. You can't draft or buy that. They just have it.

The adjustments and maneuvers this man can do while his eye is on the ball and it’s in the air, is unlike no other receiver I have ever seen. One of the best, and it was only his rookie year. Stumps the hell out of AJ Green, that’s for sure

Lots of the young star receivers in the league are from Louisiana. Everyone knows Chase and Jefferson are Louisiana talent because they played at LSU. But Ceedee Lamb and Devonta Smith are also Louisiana natives.

As a lifelong Bengals fan and unfortunately also born into being a fan of Kentucky I witnessed first hand burrow to chase in college after travelling to see them play twice...before the draft I was telling anyone who would listen that we should draft chase since we already had burrow...so glad we made that pick

I said athlete not football player. Watch his Pro day tape. His speed, change of direction, both jumps, everything is next generation. If there was a decathlon held for the best athletes in the NFL to compete, he be in the top 5. He’d be near the top of the 100, 400, long jump and high jump the throws - just athlete. He was a great AAU basketball player. He has an NBA body. Ask Randy Moss or Jerry’s Rice. JC. could probably play in the NBA. He is a generational athlete. In the first TD rec at home against KC, He made the KC defense look like a bunch of children. That was JC the athlete demonstrating what I’m talking about.

@@513hook513 that is very true, and i definitely think if he wasnt in that much of a strong core with 3 800+ recivers plus a arguably top 8-9 rb he would have probably gotten more yards/targets but also, he does have an advantage since he and burrow have such a connection from lsu. but, you cant call him the best bc of that because who knows what truly would have happened (which i guess is the same with obj since we dont know what would have happened in those games) i can hear arguments for both obj and chase but imo those are the only two i see being the best (yes moss and jefferson had great rookies years, but i just dont think they are better then obj and chases seasons)
