However, after joining cabinet in that manner it would create a huge uproar if a Liberal MP did not quickly resign to pave the way for him to obtain a voter mandate. Freeland is one of the most over-rated, under-achieving and incompetent politicians to ever take a seat in parliament. Hitching her wagon to a pompous, artificially-created and under-qualified drama queen, who in 2015 was riding the emotional wave of an ignorant electorate, was her undeserved opportunity to pretend to be important. Kudos to her, I suppose, for maintaining that illusion of competence for almost 10 years. Finally, thank goodness, it appears that her chickens have come home to roost. Just checked : She first got elected as an MP for 'Toronto -Centre' in 2013 then 'University-Rosedale' ( also in Toronto ) in 2015, and has kept her seat ( re-elected in 2019 and 2021 ) since then. So, yes, she gets that gold plated pension that WE pay for.
