Looking at your cuts, it looks like the glowforge is quite out of focus. You can tell by the edge angle in the cut, and the amount of flashback/burn you're getting at the backside means you're pumping extra unnecessary power through the cut, so you should be able to go much faster. The poor focus seems to be hindering that. A co2 is like 10-50x more powerful than even the best diode... so it should be no comparison for cutting haha.
@@SpringbokCraftCo Could also be a bit deeper. Sometimes the mirrors can go out of alignment which might cause similar issues! I would say its probably machine error, not user!
This video is just what I was looking for. I've been on the fence about a Glowforge and can now make a well-informed decision. For what I want to do the Falcon2 is a better fit for me. Thanks!
Good review. I was interested in seeing what the 22W diode laser could do compared to a 40W CO2 laser. Great comparison and helped me with my purchase.
i can't even tell you how much i needed this exact video! i've been debating a glowforge but am put off because i dont like their always online functionality and wasnt sure if the falcon 2 was up to par Edit: Havent finished the video yet but creality is the easy winner for me. thanks!
It's actually because I have some fans running in the room to keep the lasers and cameras cool. Everything kept over heating. Was hottttttt. The camera mic would almost be unhearable 😬

Listen to this guy! Great tip thanks. I've always done autofocus, should have manually changed it.

As a somewhat new leatherwork and getting into lasers as well. This video helped immensely.

It's definitely great value and would be more than sufficient for a leatherworker.
Hmmm, I see your ‘heat wave in Toronto’, and I raise you a heat wave in Florida!😅
Pretty good video
4:08 floor engraving video when?
we can try it at your house first!
I just bought a CloudRay 90w CO2 laser tube, 399$. Now, I need the rest of the components
OH so cool. will you be documenting the process??
do you sell your leather products
kind of sounds like the camera mic is being used instead of the rode mic you have - if you weren't already aware of it 😅
