    I Love These F-150s! (I Call Them 10th Gens) My Dad And I Like To Count To See How Much Are On The Road, And We Saw 45 Of These Trucks! This Shows That They Are Reliable, And Useful! 97-03) I Drive An Old 99 F-150 That Was My Grandpas Truck, And Its Incredible! I Just Love How Sharp It Looks, And How It Reminds Me Of My Grandpa! (Its An Old White Lariat)
    Story: In 2001, My Grandpa Bought This Pickup Used For About 17k Miles I Think? It Was From A Gal They New That First Got It, But Traded It Off For A New One After A Year, And Eventually He Bought The Bug Shield For It, And The Steps
    This Old Ford Was Very Useful, But It Had Those Spark Plug Problems.. I Heard It Before When It First Started After 6 Years- And Its Pretty Bad 0-0’
    In 2015, It Sat Till 2021 Due To That Problem, Then It Was Back In Service After 6 Long Years Of Sitting! it Also Had To Get To The Shop 7 Times To Fix Its Problems Such As: Fuel Injectors, Rear Differential, Ac, And The Rest Were For Oil Changes!
    Triton Engines Are Great! I Don’t Care What They Say! 4.2, 4.6, 5.4, 6.8, You Can’t Kill An Old Ford!

    As great as the Depo fog lights look, they simply do not last. If you use them for more than just a short burst here and there, the housings around the bulb will melt. It has happened to many of us who bought these lights. If you click on the amazon link to these fogs in the description of this video, look at the amazon reviews. Multiple pictures of those who had heat/melting issues. I've included photos as well. Its unfortunate because I've had many Depo products in the past and they are still holding up to this day. These lights didn't hold up to that standard. I'm not trying to bash Depo or dissuade anyone from buying them, but be forewarned that yours will melt eventually too. Really bummed because these are, by far, the best looking after market headlight for the 99-03 F150/99-02 Expedition.

    Wow big improvement on looks.. Shame that the whole of the light output of the lamp is not being used due to the cut off.. Maybe that's why Euro lights are more expensive.. hey Ryan ! Made a lengthy comment on the headlight mod page..Good video ! About the clear fog light / stock fog light mounting , do those bolts screw into those threaded metal clips or the square stove nut type that has a clip around it to hold it in a hole ? As I have no existing fog lights I am wondering ..... as I had to buy the valance w/ the fog light cutouts and just got my clear fog lights from UPS today ...... Dan

    • @AutoDetour
      @AutoDetour  Před 5 lety +1

      I'm not quite sure of the difference in the 2 nuts you're talking about, but I would say it sounds like the second one you described. There is a flange with three holes in it, and it uses 3 flat, U-shaped clips with threads on the back side. You slide the clips over the flange to line it up with the hole and you just thread the bolts in from the top side. I hope that makes sense.

    • @firemandkdkdk
      @firemandkdkdk Před 5 lety

      @@AutoDetour Perfect sense ! That's the first type i was talking about . The second type
      are square , old style "Stove bolt" nuts, you see them a lot pre-hex head or still on Kid's old style wagons. The particular ones i was referring to are the square nut and they have a sort of sheet metal frame that makes them click into a square hole. I have not seen to many things these days with those . Hey ! there is a video somewhere on youtube where the guy made sheet metal splash guards for our lights made of aluminum, to protect from splashing the back...a good mod ! I'll see if I can find it again!

  • @walkerskii
    @walkerskii Před 2 lety

    May I ask why you didn't go with amber colored fog lights, which I thought was the point, to cut through fog, or does the clear work better, was Amber fog lights just from my generation? (I graduated high school in 82' haha!)

    • @jerryc1112
      @jerryc1112 Před 2 lety

      So I own a 2002 f150 king ranch 5.4l. And the fog lights can only be turned on when you have the headlights turned on. Which defeats the purpose of "fog lights" so I just use them as secondary "headlights"
