If you are into illustrations and drawing kinda stuff then an iPad and Apple pencil combo is unbeatable. And if your requirements need a laptop then even a MacBook Air will do the job as it has enough power and a good display for your needs but it has a smaller screen. So thus go with a MacBook Pro 16inch for its bigger size but at a higher cost. Pls do subscribe!

If you are gonna use iMovie or Final Cut Pro then go with 8GB of ram. Use the extra money you have to get the 512gb storage which you will appreciate and get more benefit when compared to more ram. Also you get an extra GPU core with the 512gb variant. Just don’t keep multiple apps open especially multiple chrome tabs and then you are good to go and edit your videos with 8gb of ram. I personally don’t use those…. I find them to be irritating and takes away with that feel of owning such a beautiful machine. But if you feel you live in an environment where dust and other parameters might cause a damage to your MacBook then pls use it…. Cuz the keyboard or even the screen replacement chargers for this MacBook Air is really very expensive. In short, it depends. If you can take care of your laptop decently then your MacBook will last for years…. Cuz they are the most durable laptops. But if you feel you can’t then use a screen protection and keyboard cover… But pls avoid those plastic cases which goes around the MacBook. They do damage than giving protection… they cause lots of scratches

An increase in ram won’t give you any performance increase. Trust me 8GB is enough, I have been using it and it works flawlessly. You won’t regret. If you have the money I would say go with 512gb variant upgrade rather than 16gb ram as that variant will give you an additional GPU core also and in long run higher storage will be more appreciated 😀
