As far as the lightsabers go, there were at least 3 different props used in the movie. Two being stunt versions that were more beat up and the “hero” version used for closeups. What Lucasfilm did not expect is for people in the future to be zeroing in and dissecting these weapons so closely shot to shot. Official word from Lucas film is that the hero version, the clean version, is the official version of the lightsaber. That’s what we saw in the close-ups of return of the Jedi and also what we see in the flashback of the last Jedi

Great review! Just wanted to let you know that Mark Hamill had two different lightsaber props, one was more weathered and one was more clean and is the iconic I need used with many Star Wars products.

It was three different ones in RotJ. V1 (hero shiny), V2 (black and silver, rough and a clamp on the activation switch) and a V3 (mix of both).
I also got this last week and love it...

I have the ESB Vader on pre-order. I didn’t think about a ROTJ version. What would be the differences? Addition sculpt with the mask removed and a cut of hand. Vader’s suit was pretty shiny in ROTJ though
HT will release the Endor version. It may take a minute but they won’t pass up on a Luke.
I’m picking up a few of these. There are too many different looks for just one figure. There’s at least 4 unique display options which is crazy.

Why thank you! I think they might do an Endor one eventually they have shown it, but the fact that they mention the "upcoming accessories" leads me to believe they may simply do an accessory pack like they did for Tony Stark.

Nice review buddy! Dopeass toy! I have ROTJ Skywalker preordered *FO'..SUR!* But I collect everything & other things can get in the way of that. But gonna do my best *this time* get all Star Wars & MCU Hot Toys on my HT list. I had the $$ to buy the 1st run of Hot Toys Star Wars (ANH versions Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Vader) I bought Comicave Studios Optimus Prime instead. 75% diecast, got early from the company, was front paged twice, & it earned me ton of subs. Still think woulda been a better investment .
Constructive criticism =. If u bring the accessories & figure bit closer to screen it will b easier 4 us on phones to see clearly. Your reviews are stellar & getting REALLY, good! So no worries I abso love them! Just a positive suggestion! 😉

hello just a general question, I worry about my hot toys rubber melting or cracking in the heat do you think it's possible as i see a lot of people complain about this stuff online i just don't see how it's possible but it's on my mind now as the weather is hot haha?
Hey, I hear you, I worry sometimes too but the fact of the matter is I haven’t had any issues and living in Australia temperatures can get very very hot. I think you should be ok

Interesting point on the saber. The way you describe it sounds accurate, but you are also right at the same time. The V2 prop is weathered, but the hero prop is much cleaner. I am blind though, google can confirm or debunk.

I want a Star Wars, or episode 4, Luke in X-wing. Even though he doesn't have them in the movie it'd be cool if they added Anakin's lightsaber and a blaster.

has anyone had any issues with the fabric color transferring to the head sculpt/neck. I saw a video where he kept the like barber neck cover that it comes with in package to avoid color transfer. I am wondering if I should worry about that I just got mine.

I totally would have bought this if it weren't for the damn mouth. I don't know why his mouth is slightly open. I've always wanted HT to make Jedi Luke from ROTJ and you can imagine my disappointment when I saw that he had that head sculpt.

Bespin Luke looks like the cheapest knock-off version ever in comparison to the new RotJ Luke.

In hand the DX Bespin Luke is a fantastic figure, sometimes videos and pictures do nothing until you see and hold the figure in person. I have to say though i own the DX Bespin Luke and now The Return Of The Jedi Luke and i do prefer the Return Of The Jedi version.
