At the risk of sounding like a broken record, thank you for making these series so special! This is probably the last video for the week, but I'll see you next week for Dragon Prince and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood!
Bro i found your chanel in a random scrolling im so f grateful that i did love your reactions, have you consider waching fate zero i would love to hear your thoughs on a certain character keep up the amazig reactions (つ°ヮ°)つ
dude you're literally watching all my favorite shows it's so fun seeing other people watch these things cause it's almost like the closest i can get to watching it for the first time again edit: not really a reply, but something i want to mention now that im further in the video, i 100% agree with you with the romance thing. some of my favorite couples are sokka and suki or zuko and mai because they arent these crazy built up drama filled things. it's just them kinda getting together, and i feel like it helps things feel a lot more natural and less like a sort of forced drama, if that makes sense
I think the biggest moment that the writers used to separate LoK from ATLA was the scene between Tenzin and Aang, which results in Tenzin saying that he isn't a reflection of his father but he is his own man. Much like how LoK was not meant to be a reflection of ATLA but it was supposed to be its own show.
You'd be surprised at just how many people hated Korra until recently. There's a reason why the most popular Korra videos are hate commentary. I think Netflix did a lot to improve it's reputation, by having people take a second look and having fresh, unbiased new watchers.
Overall I loved The Legend of Korra almost of as much as the original series. I hated it when I was younger because of the past lives being severed and a hive mind of hate. After watching it for myself I still have problems with it (mainly Season 2) I don't regret watching it at all I loved Season 3 and 4 so much and I love Korra's character development and growth. She is NOT A MARRY SUE or a "weak Avatar" she has been through and done much more than Aang. I love Aang but I will always relate and love Korra as a Avatar more. The Last Air Bender has superior writing overall but TLOK has better animation, art, villains, soundtrack and fighting scenes. It is an amazing series. I wish Korra could of been longer. Overall it is a great series and I love it so much.
Well said. Both are great shows overall, with different strengths and weaknesses. For me I'm glad Korra exists, and I think the Avatar universe as a whole is an incredible thing.
As someone who watched the shows for the first time this year, I love them for different reasons.I will never understand the animosity that some people have towards Korra. I personally agree with you about setting a story in the future about the avatar after Korra. I think it would be cool if they made it so that the next avatar was the final one and end the cycle for good. I also like that it would bring the cycle full circle. It started with Wan, a firebender, and ends with with an earthbender, since it goes fire, air, water, earth. The only other wish I have for the franchise is that they finish the stories they're trying to tell in the comics.
I ended up watching the full thing without skipping anything (as expected lol) and i have no regrets. Edit: And btw, thanks for answering all of my questions!
I hadn’t heard of this channel before LoK, but I’m so happy I found this. You explore a lot of the themes and character development in your reactions in a way that really builds on the story. It was really great to hear your input and relive the show again. I’ll definitely be sticking around for what’s next. Thank you for the great content
For me, I would've liked that zaheer and his crew were explored more. It would've been cool to see P'Li's backstory, especially because of what she said about her being used as a weapon when she was a kid. But I would've enjoyed seeing all of their backstory's.
I like to think that combustion bending as a whole is still something completely unexplored in the Avatar Universe so they could do some awesome things with it in a new avatar series (even tho we'll never get one) but seriously I'd die to see the story of Zaheer meeting/saving P'li
I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who thought Korra and Tenzin’s relationship “fell short”, even if they dislike the LOK. It’s easily the best relationship in the show.
Sadly Ive heard alot of people say that it was a cheap knockoff, so I kind of really wanted to hear what Goodwins thoughts would be on that in comparison! I personally really loved the Tenzin/Korra dynamic.
YES. Fantastic show. I know that either Avatar series is a hard act to follow, but Young Justice is, in my opinion, the only other animated show that comes close. I would love to see YJ on the channel.
@@HiIeric117 I don't know i feel season 3 was kind of subpar and season 1 was the best. Also I feel in terms of japanese animation, there is a lot more he could react too that has amazing quality, much more than young justice in my taste.
I'm sad that it is all over, I have loved hearing all your insights about the show. These videos have made my first semester of college a lot less stressful as it gave me something fun to look forward to every night. So I guess this is one last thankyou for the enjoyable content. One last recommendation I have for u before u r done with Korra, there is a video called animator spotlight about LoK and it tells about everything regarding what happened with the animation studio mir as well as some other things that you may or may not know about the show.
If the next comic is not going to be about mostly Asami and her backstory sharing with Korra I will riot. Also I want to see more Korra and Tonraq having good time. And fire nation. Happy relationships. That's it.
I love that you said your favorite season was season 1. I will forever love that season, it’s such a clean and tight story, and though there are problems like the love triangle, I think season 1 has so much intrigue and I love Amon. Also, the finale is really good, every time Korra is just totally broken and then comforted by aang just makes me tear up. And the music is fire
Im gonna try to not to write too much- Here we go- Im so happy and grateful that you included my question! (The one about suicide. I never thought of the theory before and when I heard about it, it made it so much more emotionally compelling and it was interesting to know that you thought so right away and that you were so certain in the theory). Thank you! It gave a great start to my day! (I live I Sweden and right now its about 6 am). Ive tried not to stay up late for every reaction video to ATLA and LOK of yours, but it has been hard because your reactions has been so unique and strong, they have been very enjoyable to watch, your commentary is amazing, its so interesting and thoughtprovoking and it has been fun to getting to know you! Thank you for putting so much work into your editing with copy right, often uploading on time, answering so many questions, giving so many good reactions, sharing things about yourself and your bits with the fruits. You seem to be really smart, kind and admirable. Im also happy that you are in a better place now. Keep being you!
I have to agree with you about Opal. I really loved her in Season 3, but she did get a tiny bit irritating by Season 4. But overall I'd say I still like her character!! She had her moments I loved from her! But like lowkey.... Bolin and Wei are a cuter couple in my opinion 👀 Don't @ me 😂💜
People think that Azula’s fire is blue because She shoots a lot of lightning but when you put salt in fire it turns Blue which means... Azula is salty😏😏😏😏😏
My impression of the all encompassing theme of ATLA/LOK; the Avatar universe in general. Is they convey/display every ending always leads to another beginning(no matter what that may be and is always subjective to varying perspective; solutions will present new pitfalls and opportunities.) An ever cycling balancing act.
Just want you to know, I try to get all my friends who have watched AtLA and LoK to watch your channel and reactions, and my biggest selling point is that you’re like a “real life Uncle Iroh”. And I mean that. You are super insightful and your way of seeing life and pain personally meant a lot to me and helped me so thank you very much for your videos
Part of me would love to see another Avatar series following the earth Avatar after Korra, but I also think it'd be best if we stopped here. I mean an Avatar learning that the world doesn't need them anymore sounds cool but I'm worried that it might not be executed in the best way.
Yeah there's always that risk. Personally I'd take that risk assuming it's the same people doing it. Even if it's not amazing I'm sure it would be at least a fun watch.
It depends on where the writers go with the story. In a more advanced world where the avatar isn’t needed as much, the next avatar wouldn’t have to grow up with the pressure of the world and destiny on their shoulders. I’m going to just say “he” to make things easier since the last earth bending avatar was female. The next avatar could be an orphan in the dirty streets of Ba Sing Se who doesn’t find out he is the avatar through conventional means. Instead, he grows up as a lighthearted thief who uses his earth bending to get food and cause some mischief. When he goes too far, the restrictive law enforcement corners him, causing him to go into the avatar state for the first time and run away with his childhood friend(s) to figure out more about himself. At this point, the public has stopped talking about the avatar as much, so much of the younger generation is only vaguely familiar. It’d be like how most people wouldn’t be very familiar with famous people from before their birth. For instance, most people in their early 20s know about Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, but despite their massive fame back in their hay day, most of these 20 year olds couldn’t tell you much about them. To them, these are just names of old Hollywood. They might be familiar with their faces to some extent, but they couldn’t tell you what movies they were in. Same with past presidents and leaders. The new avatar would have to learn about the past avatars through study (since he wouldn’t have access to any of his past lives), and he’d eventually find the letters written by the characters in LOK. He’d go on a mission to retrieve his past lives and learn more about himself. He would start to learn the other elements, but that wouldn’t be his main focus. It’d be more of a self discovery story than a master the elements story. As he discovers more about himself, he could find out things that he isn’t supposed to know which could drive an antagonist. Basically, his life becomes more and more dangerous as he learns more. That’s just an idea, but there’s a lot you could do with the avatar universe.
I hope in future comics we get to see more of Korra we she was younger. Like we she lived in the South Pole. Maybe that’ll explain more of her character in season 1.
- I love how CHATTY your cat is. - Watching Avatar is so healing for a lot of people, it makes me happy to see peoples' journeys with it. - Honestly I think maybe most people (who have already watched and enjoyed the original ATLA series) would've accepted Korra LESS if she were a male because her personality is just the antithesis of Aang's. It'd be off-putting to see the new male reincarnation be more aggressive when we were so used to our sweet boi. But since it's Korra, it's like, ok well there's just a lot different anyway. - If Korra takes place in a time period equivalent to the 1920s, then the next Avatar would be in like... the 1970s??
i cannot overstate how much value you've given this show for me. i already loved both series for many of the reasons you did but hearing you talk about your own life experiences and relate them to the themes of these shows, it made me love them that much more. i will literally watch anything you react to if it means hearing you talk about life and meaning :)
People with inner conflicts.. maybe this will help a little.( *Edit: it's a little long, sorry* ) Watching korra was probably the best decision I took this year. I started it knowing many people hate it.. but I just needed more avatar. But a few minutes in to the series I saw that I had a lot in common with korra. I felt like I understood her on a very intimate level and some instances like when she considers suicide and aang's words ( when we hit our lowest point we're open to the greatest change).. those hit hard. Maybe because I've contemplated suicide myself. I related to korras journey and was pleasantly delighted when she didn't consider suicide after zaheer. Again related to it because I have come out of the suicide phase too. Recently, I was diagnosed with clinical depression and mild bipolar disorder. After the series and after I watched your reactions and heard your thoughts, I now understand that my problems are also much similar to korra. My problem is letting go. My problem is also the thought that I'm not owning up to the standards I set for myself. The feeling that things will be the same even if I'm not there.. that I'm not needed. I saw korras mental journey.. I saw how she hit her lowest points and still stood up. Although it took time. Letting go was a major thing in her life and will probably be in mine as well. Towards the end, she let go of the standards she kept for herself and like iroh said in ATLA, she came to a better place even though she may not have seen the light at the end of the tunnel. She saw that she was never not needed. Just like how she became a better version of herself, accepting and loving herself and seeing the love in others, maybe one day I can accept and see all that too. Now that I know my issues, I can maybe heal better. I know it's a long process. But now I'm at least ready to give it time, unlike earlier when I would get frustrated and hit something at no immediate results
27:00 Honestly you expressing your thoughts and being yourself is why I'm here. It's the best of both analysis videos, longform discussions, and fun reaction moments all mixed into a single digestible format.
Korra trying to make peace with the spirit world. Also her being a fully-realized Avatar in the way she's always wanted to be (but better), sort of an epilogue on her journey?
I found this channel when you were in season 3 of Legend of Korra. I had just recently finished both Avatar The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra and joined the fandom. I saw a lot of Korra hate and I didn’t understand why. I heavily relate to Korra and see a lot of myself in her. For a good portion of my life I was scared of being someone that people disliked. I thought I was doing something wrong. Your Korra reaction videos gave a perspective on the show that I haven’t seen a lot, I really appreciate people like you who can go into something with an open heart and take something good out of it. That perspective and your reactions helped me see things clearer and give a deeper understanding to life in general.
I find it interesting that you hold so much value in Guru Laghima's teachings of letting go of earthly attachments, but when Aang was opening chakras in The Guru you took issue with him letting go of Katara. Perhaps I'm understanding that wrong but it seems weird. Maybe it's easier to accept since Zaheer already lost P'Li?
Hey Goodwin. I got a few questions for you. How do you ask questions for a future Q and A. And are you planning on revisiting the avatar universe, whether it be one month or a year? I've said this countless times, but again thanks for the reactions! You've given me and all your viewers some great content, and I personally appreciate it a ton. Looking forward to Dragon Prince. I watched it this summer, so it'll be interesting to revisit it from a new perspective. Can't wait for your wisdom and analysis.
I'm glad! I am very excited to start watching Dragon Prince :D Probably going to begin (watching) tomorrow. As for the Q&A, for this one I posted about it on the channel community tab and on Patreon. I also do a monthly Q&A on Patreon for more in depth stuff, but if there's something you'd like to ask you could always just DM me on Instagram :)
Thank you for sharing your insight on avatar. I’m so happy to see people enjoy the series and listening to new perspectives. Your reactions were wonderfully insightful and refreshing. Sad that it’s over, but happy I could enjoy them again through you. And maybe as an extra bit, and if you haven’t already, you could watch the extra Chibi shorts of the last air bender. I think I saw them the other day on Nickelodeon’s CZcams channel, short but sweet. And again thank you I hope you have a wonderful week. Thrive on!
I'll have to get started on Dragon Prince myself before watching your reactions to it, but I'll gladly dive into your Fullmetal Alchemist playlist. I'm looking forward to what your channel has to offer.
Just finished LoK recently and I'm excited to see what Avatar Studios will do with the Avatar universe now that they hopefully will have less meddling from Nickelodeon like they did in LoK. Maybe we get a story taking place in modern day or the future where the Avatar isn't needed to keep balance in the world. I would love a story where technological advances and the establishment of more democratic systems leads to balance. The Avatar, probably Korra's successor, would then need to navigate a world where they are no longer needed or their role has a new meaning or purpose.
I just want to say how much I’ve enjoyed sharing in this journey with you. A:TLA is my favorite show and I’ve always enjoyed introducing it to my friends. The way you handled your reactions, with the way you shared so much of yourself with us along the way, really pulled me in. I also loved how deeply you dug into every character and appreciated their flaws along with their strengths. One of my absolutely favorite things about Avatar is that you can look back at episode one and see such vastly different characters from the start to the end of the show. Yet there was never a moment where I felt a character made a drastic jump from one episode to the next. Their growth was so beautifully handled - so natural, gradual, organic. I loved how in tune you were with each characters journey so you could understand their struggle and motivations (For example, not getting mad, but understanding Zuko at the end of season 2). Your channel is truly something special and unique among the reaction community. I have seen Korra before and I enjoyed it, but I always viewed it as a lesser version of Avatar. Mostly because I never connected with the characters like I did with Avatar. Going through Korra with you, I feel like I was able to develop a new appreciation for the characters and their journeys. I’m looking forward to both FMAB and Dragon Prince, especially FMAB. Thanks for being your awesome self.
I really want to see a cold war style series with an earthbender avatar next that deals with the fallout of a massive empire fracturing and then a cyberpunk/space travel series with the next firebending avatar
If you haven’t seen it, (not many haven’t) you should watch Breaking Bad. It’s regarded as one of the best shows of all time for a perfect mix of believability, emotion and storytelling.
Hey, i've been watching your atla reactions since nearly the beginning but never really commented until now, so hi. I also recently watched your video where you hike the mountain in china and i think you should do more videos like those (after covid of course). I'm also really excited for FMAB, its my favorite anime and has a lot of stuff to talk about so hopefully you enjoy!
Hi and thank you for watching! I really enjoyed those travel videos but, yeah, as you pointed out it's difficult now 😅 Some day in the future I can see myself going back to that on a separate channel. I am itching to travel again!
I have many thoughts about all these Q/As but I the most important thing to say something about is the connections being severed. I did not like how it was done because it was not something that Korra had in order for her to lose it, she never actually used it to talk with anyone. Once she watched some memories and two times Avatars popped up on their own to solve her problems. They could at least have her try more, even if she had to fail to connect when she needed it. Also now that I remembered I disagree with the idea that the 2 shows and I really feel that there are moments in Korra that use nostalgia like Sokka in season 1 who added nothing important to the plot he was just there to get me excited. Most ATLA characters are in LOK because they have to help with the story but I will never forget the Sokka injustice.
You definitely are top tier CZcams reactor, man, because you always have something interesting to say, along with being entertaining and amusing to watch. It’s unique and refreshing!
I have been super silent during your reactions of ATLA and LOK but I just want to say thanks for an amazing series! Your responses made me think about my own life lol.
I just woke up and saw you posted a new video. Didn’t know about your channel before all the avatar videos, but I’m so glad I found it. Thanks for all the wisdom/advice regarding our human nature and life in society. Love from Argentina ❤️🇦🇷
I need to say how good Transformers Animated would be for your show not only does it have really solid character building building but also it's completely different from most shows in the franchise, and it's probably one of the best shows in the franchise among Prime and Beast Wars
Ok kind of a weird thought occurred to me but I think you’d really like Adventure Time. Maybe the childishness is off-putting, but there’s a lot of moral and philosophical effort put into the show.
This was such a great video. I'm happy that you loved TLOK as it's underrated because so many people hate Korra, for some reason. I personally like her more than Aang, but I still absolutely love Aang. Looking forward to FMAB as it is a phenomenal show, that I personally, rank higher than Avatar. And I'm not much of a shipper either, but the romance in that show is so well done that I ended up shipping almost all the couples 😅.
I've been following you since late July/early August when you started Korra. But I love both your ATLA and LOK reactions! Btw Beginnings is my all time favorite episode in the avatar universe
33:13 thank you!!! I don’t really know why I put that there but I had no one else to talk to that day so I said it there, I’m gonna go hug my cat now that I’m done watching this ❤️ My cat aside, you are such a good content creator and I’m sooo glad o found your channel, you are very competent and are able to catch my attention whenever you upload. I have a lot of videos I really want to watch in my notif box but if I see one that you uploaded I watch it as soon as I can. (Besides the fact that they upload at 2am for me, I watch them usually after school)
Just gonna respost this from another video, but: Hey! I know this will almost certainly get glossed over in the comments, but a show that I think will greatly be served by your analytical talents would be Kill la Kill, if you haven't seen it. The thing is, as I'm sure you're aware by rumor, Kill la Kill is an extremely...fanservicey show. I understand that. That being said, if you can get passed that angle I sincerely believe that you will not find a more legitimately complex and entertaining show, filled with legit commentary on the world and society. It was made by the same people who made Evangelion and Gurren Lagann if that means anything. With the amount of amazing analysis and enjoyment you've gotten from Avatar, I can't help but recommend Kill la Kill.
Honestly i feel like Katara could have a little more screen time in Lok too. She wasn't really needed for the plot and was there more for the fanservice but i think it would be cool to see her and Korra having a closer relationship since she could have been a great mentor figure along with Tenzin
That would have been nice too. There are a lot of things they could have done that would have been great. It's tough cause the characters are so good, it's easy to want more. But there's only so much they can do realistically.
I think.... i wouldnt wanna see the avatar cycle end. Wan may have made a mistake, but i also think that the message LoK gives us as opposed to ATLA isnt necessarily that the world will eventually not need the avatar anymore. Id say its more that like the world itself, The Avatar and their duty must change and adapt over time. I really did like the contrast between Korra and Aang, how they were both born into worlds that required them to be the opposite of the kind of Avatar they'd be most comfortable being. I think the world can do nothing but benefit from having one person who is unaffiliated with any one nation. If for no other reason than theyd play the part of diplomat better than anybody with loyalty to one nation above any other.
The end of an era 😭. I’m gonna miss the Avatar videos! It’s how I found the channel! But I’m looking forward to the future. I’ve always been interested in watching the Dragon Prince so now is the perfect time to do so here!!!
Thank you for reacting to these amazing shows! Bit sad that it's over for now. But I can't wait for FMAB and DP. Especially FMAB 💕 love that show just as much as the Avatar series!
there's a group of fans creating the story of the next avatar in a webcomic format, it's a large group of diverse people and they're creating top tier quality art and concept developement for the new world after korra.
I can see the Avatar becoming like the Pope. A powerful spiritual figure who guides the world in those matters. Waiting and listening for the day they are needed once more. The day its limitless is needed. Vaatu will return one day. And people will need the Avatar. The Avatar isn't needed as much during Korra's time. But what about two Avatar's down the line. When a crazy world leaders starts a war with the spirit world. Humanity can't fight some of these more powerful spirits. Or when someone like excuse my politics like Trump takes power. There is a Justice League book. Someone asks Superman what their job is. Why are they heroes if they don't take down evil warlords. Or solve world hunger. His reply was. "To be there when they fall and catch them" The Avatar will always be there. They wont' always be needed. The world didn't need Avatar Kuruk. But they will always exist and when the world needs them. They will step up.
It would be cool to see a sequel to Korra, with a Earth bender Avatar. The theme of the end of the Avatar would be interesting. These questions in this video were good ones. It’s sad that your ATLA and LOK reactions are coming to end. I love how you related the themes and ideas to your personal life. I’m glad that ATLA and LOK helped you. What do you plan on doing next?
i read recently that if aang wasnt frozen in the iceberg the next avatar would be katara bc she was from the south water tribe (just like korra) and she was the only one with the ability to bend. aang would die at the age of 98 and then katara would be born
31:09 TW / suicide suicide for the avatar is such a complex thing because on one hand there’s the basic human response where we all say no korra your better then this but the reincarnation element kinda adds this layer of sacrifice korra would have reincarnated into a new body and the avatar would be able to bend the four elements again its adds this layer of shes doing this because her identity is shattered but also it’s a sacrifice that would help the world in a way ( this isn’t intended to romanticize suicide just me thinking out loud with story ideas)
I love you and your videos I only have one thing to say: considering the fact that the first avatar was technically a native fire bender Roku was the first avatar of the new cycle
ahh this is kinda late so i hope you see this, first of all im sad your reactions are all over, you were one of my favorite reactors and im excited for the new shows you'll start, but theres a kinda short comic of korra as a kid (like when we saw her in the beginning of the show) and it's about how she meets naga. it's pretty short so a reaction might be a bit odd but it would still be pretty cool and plus toddler korra is the cutest thing ever
Bojack horseman is a really good show about the mental health of celebrities and child neglect it would be really cool if you watched it. Not many people have reacted to it to. So it’s an opportunity to create a new perspective. :)
I know it's probably uncool to post a question on the video where you're literally answering a bunch of questions. But it had me thinking: Do you think the lion turtle we saw in ATLA, was one of the 4 elemental turtles from the beginning of human civilization?
How do you feel also about learning how all of the ATLA’s kids grew up to have some scars or unresolved feelings from their parents. Bumi feels he has to do more and join the army because he is Aang and Katara’s first born but a non bender. Tenzin being the last airebender feels pressured constantly to rebuild the air nation because he will become the last airbender after aang to carry on the tradition, and he will only have to learn it only from Aang. Toph’s daughters felt that they weren’t being loved enough to by her that Lin joined the police force to emulate her and Suyin was rebellious as a child. Izumi... well Zuko raised a fine Firelord who was resistant to more wars because of their history, but still willing to provide defense against Kuvira.
this was so awesome. I enjoyed this so much so thanks for the video. Also, the timestamps were great. Really hope you become successful or happy and be a big money-earner from this channel or whatever ventures you take!!!
Thought I was the only one whose favorite was book 1. I loved the darker tone and animation, there's just something about the atmosphere of book 1 that the books couldn't catch on to for me.
The general definition for Mary Sue I've seen is that it's a female main character who twists the laws of the fictional universe to become more convenient to them. In a fanfiction context, these are common. For example, the man character of the infamous My Immortal is a Mary Sue despite being depressed because that depression never manifests in any way other than to make her appear edgier or cooler. In fact, because she is everyone seems to love her without question all the time (which is a weirdly heartwarming part of the story) excluding the outgroup of the 'preps' who are presented as the exclusive wrong idea of that universe. Now I love My Immortal but I still think this is an example of a more modern Mary Sue. I think it's less about whether they have flaws or not in the modern-day and more about if those flaws actually matter. I would still disagree on this point that Korra is one because she has explored trauma which negatively impacts her abilities and she does bend to the story. She as a character is often in the wrong in the earlier seasons and they do a good job of showing how easily she falls prey to a villain's idealogy as long as they say it's for the sake of order which she sees as balance. There is something to be said about her as a character based on how she dismisses Amon and Zaheer without ever seriously listening to them despite them making the most sense while trying to reason with Kuvira (the hot nuclear Hitler), Tonraq (the power-hungry religious zealot who gave up his humanity for laser beams), and Amon's brother (who was rounding up non-benders by the mass without really caring if they were equalists or not because it didn't matter in his eyes.). There are Mary Sue's in modern media but honestly, this is rarely a problem for me. They are a lot better than they used to be and the most common one you'll see today are edgy middle-aged male anti-heroes who kill people with little consequence which is stuff I generally stay away from anyway.
I like the notion of the ending of the Avatar cycle when the "world" makes a choice to deal with its own problems without the Avatar. Korra disconnects from Ravva and Ravva goes back to the Spirit World. Spirit World closes, Korra now only waterbends. Life goes on. Question: is Korra the one to end the cycle or the next Avatar?
Love your reactions Goodwin. You are my favorite reactor because you're soo unique and present great insights. Amon 's and Tarlok's death was kinda inevitable. Though I wanted them to live... I think writers had to kill them off. Because their bloodline is too OP. Psychic Blood bending without the Moon. If they didn't die, the Only thing Korra has to do is to recruit them. And BOOM No villain can touch them.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, thank you for making these series so special!
This is probably the last video for the week, but I'll see you next week for Dragon Prince and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood!
Super excited for all the new stuff! I will miss avatar stuff though.
Bro i found your chanel in a random scrolling im so f grateful that i did love your reactions, have you consider waching fate zero i would love to hear your thoughs on a certain character keep up the amazig reactions (つ°ヮ°)つ
Yassss can't wait for your next reactions!
dude you're literally watching all my favorite shows it's so fun seeing other people watch these things cause it's almost like the closest i can get to watching it for the first time again
edit: not really a reply, but something i want to mention now that im further in the video, i 100% agree with you with the romance thing. some of my favorite couples are sokka and suki or zuko and mai because they arent these crazy built up drama filled things. it's just them kinda getting together, and i feel like it helps things feel a lot more natural and less like a sort of forced drama, if that makes sense
**Please watch the FMAB dub !**
"Has the Avatar depression kicked in yet?"
Goodwin: . . . . . . . . . . . Yes
Everytime..
Really wish korra did have 20-23 episode per season. so many story to be told 😭
I really doubt there is a lot of korra or aang haters🤔 it's just that annoying people are loud 😂
That is a great point. It's easy to overestimate the amount of negativity out there, especially on the internet.
With the rate of technological advancement in the show, a sequel may consist of traveling to space. Maybe physically visit Yue lmao
Space sword anyone
They where already pretty advanced in atla
I mean by the 4th avatar the show woud basically be both sci-fi and fantasy
The next Avatar will be an earth bender so imagine the Avatar bending the Earth itself
"I just talked about romance"
*points at the Fruit/Veggie family*
Korra lowkey my favorite female character made alongside Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars the clone wars
I see you in every korra reaction videos lmaoo
I hadn’t heard of this channel before LoK, but I’m so happy I found this. You explore a lot of the themes and character development in your reactions in a way that really builds on the story. It was really great to hear your input and relive the show again. I’ll definitely be sticking around for what’s next. Thank you for the great content
Thank you!
You should watch his series on ATLA too, it’s extremely good
@@irecordwithaphone1856 yeah, I checked that out too. Great stuff all around 😁
For me, I would've liked that zaheer and his crew were explored more. It would've been cool to see P'Li's backstory, especially because of what she said about her being used as a weapon when she was a kid. But I would've enjoyed seeing all of their backstory's.
That's a great point! I think I even said that while watching. That would have been really cool.
I like to think that combustion bending as a whole is still something completely unexplored in the Avatar Universe so they could do some awesome things with it in a new avatar series (even tho we'll never get one) but seriously I'd die to see the story of Zaheer meeting/saving P'li
I read "exploded more" and I thought... MORE??
I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who thought Korra and Tenzin’s relationship “fell short”, even if they dislike the LOK. It’s easily the best relationship in the show.
Sadly Ive heard alot of people say that it was a cheap knockoff, so I kind of really wanted to hear what Goodwins thoughts would be on that in comparison! I personally really loved the Tenzin/Korra dynamic.
“If we’re counting her as a villain”💀💀SAME azula deserves the world
I feel the need to reiterate how good of a show Young Justice would be for your Channel
This. The way he’d break down the character’s relationship dynamics would be awesome.

Thank you Timothy. I really appreciate hearing that :)
That sounds great! I will have to check it out
If the next comic is not going to be about mostly Asami and her backstory sharing with Korra I will riot. Also I want to see more Korra and Tonraq having good time. And fire nation. Happy relationships. That's it.
Like so he'll make a SheRa and The Princesses of Power reaction series
Wow, thank you! That means a lot to me. I really appreciate the kind words :D
I have to agree with you about Opal. I really loved her in Season 3, but she did get a tiny bit irritating by Season 4. But overall I'd say I still like her character!! She had her moments I loved from her!
But like lowkey.... Bolin and Wei are a cuter couple in my opinion 👀 Don't @ me 😂💜
If that loving face slap was any indication you're probably right
I agree, i dont like opal too much especially in s4
People think that Azula’s fire is blue because She shoots a lot of lightning but when you put salt in fire it turns Blue which means...
Azula is salty😏😏😏😏😏
I loved your Korra reactions, but haven't watched your ATLA ones! Guess I know what to watch next!
I had a great time doing ATLA. The beginning might be a bit rough to watch now though haha
You won't regret it!
I agree
@@AGoodwinTV fair enough
Yea that’s what I thought, I personally don’t see the need for a sequel but if one was made I’d definitely watch it a lot
It’s officially over :( thanks for everything dude!!
I hope in future comics we get to see more of Korra we she was younger. Like we she lived in the South Pole. Maybe that’ll explain more of her character in season 1.
Good news! There are actually little comics out there of that (:
There’s one comic about how Korra found Naga when training with Katara. Go read!! (:
@@Gamelover254 K thanks where can you find them
- I love how CHATTY your cat is.
- If Korra takes place in a time period equivalent to the 1920s, then the next Avatar would be in like... the 1970s??
Maybe 1980s depending on when Korra dies

i cannot overstate how much value you've given this show for me. i already loved both series for many of the reasons you did but hearing you talk about your own life experiences and relate them to the themes of these shows, it made me love them that much more. i will literally watch anything you react to if it means hearing you talk about life and meaning :)
My answer for characters I wish were explored more are Ghazan and Ming hua
Good answer
People with inner conflicts.. maybe this will help a little.( *Edit: it's a little long, sorry* )
Watching korra was probably the best decision I took this year.
If Korra Book 5 happened. What do you think you would’ve liked to see happen as a result?
Korra trying to make peace with the spirit world. Also her being a fully-realized Avatar in the way she's always wanted to be (but better), sort of an epilogue on her journey?
Looking foward to your new content! It's always a pleasure to listen your input on life.
I'm glad! I am very excited to start watching Dragon Prince :D
Probably going to begin (watching) tomorrow.

Thrive on!
You have a cat??? That's it. That settles it. You are an absolute idol to me. Guru Alex

Her tail has made many cameos in my videos haha
Really love these Q&A’s
You should definitely consider joining some of the avatar subreddits, i think you’d really enjoy some of the discussions on there
I really want to see a cold war style series with an earthbender avatar next that deals with the fallout of a massive empire fracturing and then a cyberpunk/space travel series with the next firebending avatar
I really enjoyed those travel videos but, yeah, as you pointed out it's difficult now 😅
Some day in the future I can see myself going back to that on a separate channel.

I need to say how good Transformers Animated would be for your show not only does it have really solid character building building but also it's completely different from most shows in the franchise, and it's probably one of the best shows in the franchise among Prime and Beast Wars
I’m glad CZcams started working just in time for this upload
Haha yeah I wasn't sure I was gonna be able to post today
I don’t really know why I put that there but I had no one else to talk to that day so I said it there, I’m gonna go hug my cat now that I’m done watching this ❤️
My cat aside, you are such a good content creator and I’m sooo glad o found your channel, you are very competent and are able to catch my attention whenever you upload.
Great QnA man keep up the good work remember me when you reach 1 million
Thanks :D
I will!
I feel so special i made it into the thumbnail :D
I wish all your videos were this long
I think.... i wouldnt wanna see the avatar cycle end.
Damn my question really got stolen. Either way, I’ve loved this journey of these two shows and your great commentary and insight
Randomly saw a reaction video from you -> watched the whole reaction series from start to end -> pumped for Dragon Prince
Oooooh FMA! I stopped halfway and never got back. I knew it was good and I like watching show through you! Looking forward
"To be there when they fall and catch them"
The Avatar will always be there. They wont' always be needed. The world didn't need Avatar Kuruk. But they will always exist and when the world needs them. They will step up.
Havent watched it but I'm a fan of longer vids in general so 👌👌👌
I am glad reacting to Avatar helped you that way you are telling us. Best wishes 👍🏻
Or maybe yue I’ve heard people say her or katara, idc that much though lol
31:09
TW / suicide
suicide for the avatar is such a complex thing because on one hand there’s the basic human response where we all say no korra your better then this but the reincarnation element kinda adds this layer of sacrifice korra would have reincarnated into a new body and the avatar would be able to bend the four elements again its adds this layer of shes doing this because her identity is shattered but also it’s a sacrifice that would help the world in a way ( this isn’t intended to romanticize suicide just me thinking out loud with story ideas)
Can you watch the dragon prince next? :) I legit LOVE your vids I always look forward to them lol

Bojack horseman is a really good show about the mental health of celebrities and child neglect it would be really cool if you watched it. Not many people have reacted to it to. So it’s an opportunity to create a new perspective. :)
I find it very cool how ypu are reacting to this quenstions but also very funny sometimes
I know it's probably uncool to post a question on the video where you're literally answering a bunch of questions. But it had me thinking:
Do you think the lion turtle we saw in ATLA, was one of the 4 elemental turtles from the beginning of human civilization?
I really watching this whole video. Ur mind.. its ✨astronomical✨
this was so awesome. I enjoyed this so much so thanks for the video. Also, the timestamps were great.
Really hope you become successful or happy and be a big money-earner from this channel or whatever ventures you take!!!
You should react to Hinomaru Sumo at some point. (recommendation)
...And did you say Dragon Prince?! Definitely looking forward to that.
My personal ranking of the seasons: 3 & 1 tied,4,2
I am dying to hear your reaction to the announcement of Avatar Studios and the CGI movie coming in 2022!
I really enjoyed your journey of LOK! Think about reacting to Attack on Titan next, i think you would like it a lot!🤗
When you think you asked a really good question but it doesn't make it in the video, but "dude!" Made it 😭
