Superb fish, lovely clear water, nice tidy pond and filter house, only 1 problem I could see the net was stored on the fence ideal for the night time fish watcher. You wouldn't lock your door and keep the key In the lock on the outside.
All i can say is wow simply beautiful pond and gorgeous fish. I've been looking into building a pond which is daunting in itself but I'm pretty sure i cannot ever have fish like that.those koi are exactly what i would want but look very expensive. I guess you never know!
That was just amazing the size of those Kois and that pond Waooooo , i do have some small kois and am planning to build a nice size pond so they can grow but will be happy if one of mine get half or a third of the size of one of those Jumbo Kois.... great video there , now subscribed....

Always funny to me seeing these people with $50,000 in filters and such .Me with my home made trickle filter for 6000 gallons and 20 year old koi.krystal clear water and salt once a year .never had a problem.oh and water changes twice a week.crazy!
Steven Lane most do, but sinking food isn’t good for enjoyment. Carp are natural bottom feeders and if you feed a lot of sinking then they will stay down the bottom and never come up!
Koi's metabolism slows down in the winter and they go to sleep...basically nothing happens in the winter as long as you don't allow the pond to freeze solid.
It's how it should be theese fish live for decades,unless you have more water and at least that amount of filtration,you shouldn't be keeping any more koi,that pond looks perfect,and if he had 14 koi like that it wouldn't look as good and the fish wouldn't grow as much.I cant stand people with a 1000 gallons who think they can keep 2 dozen koi similar to the size of theese big boys and girls.
@@grapas100 I mean I don't care if you want to throw 30 koi in sure you can keep them healthy too but yeah then they'll never have a chance of getting even half that size,but no with that filtration that's plenty of water for them to grow that big because he only keeps a couple fish do you have any idea how long a koi lives with proper parameters with adequate heat enough food and clean water it's a carp at the end of the day some have gotten even bigger than that.
@@MikeZak101 that's awesome hope there doing great I've only worked on koi ponds,did about 2 or 3 a week during the spring usually,but a koi pond around 1200 to 2500 or bigger has always been a dream of mine the coolest ponds I ever saw where of people that kept that many originally and than choose the prettiest ones to get huge and sold the rest you can keep that many in a pond like that but if you want giants you got keep your favorites or have some ungodly amount of filtration but still that would probably be with a lot less fish.
@@JBrass98 Hi, i was just taking the mic a bit with your comment lol, i have around 40 koi in a 5000 gallon pond, for me jumbo koi are nice but they always look so bored in most ponds, for me a koi over 85cm should be in a pond thats a minimum of 10000 gallon, everyone says large koi just like to cruse around at a slow pace but in all fairness how fast are they suppose to swim in a pond less then 10x there body length.
When I was a teenager, I was all about my Piranha... now that I just turned 40, much prefer these absolutely gorgeous Koi!
It just doesn't get boring to watch especially an underwater shot in some quality water some absolutely beautiful fish!

ive got 3 dozen in a 1500 gallon, all growing and thriving
