I can make a case that Tennessee is the most underrated. I have seen some preseason rankings that had Iowa State as high as #11. (Which seems too high to me.) And I saw some people predicting Tennessee would come in 9th in the SEC. And Tennessee has gotten some really solid players in the portal; so this seemed like a pretty harsh projection to me. UConn will run Iowa State out of the gym.
Geno knows that his Ladies need those tough, out of conference games to acquire a baseline of how his team measures up against quality squads. I went to last year's Hall of Fame games and the Uconn Fan did show to watch the other games. UCLA vs North Carolina 1st No Fans . SOUTH CAROLINA VS Utah 2nd game.No Fans. Uconn game 3rd the place is pack. I thought people in Connecticut would come out and support women's basketball which was not the case. So I hope that people come out this year to the games , before they move somewhere else .
South Carolina appears to be the standard now, it's always a plus to have weakness exposed before March. Furthermore, it wasn't that long ago when UConn was taking South Carolina to the cleaners, and Dawn Staley still scheduled the games, It's good for the women's game to see two powerhouses play, regardless of the outcome.
@@jeromedanielson4422 we need to build teams to beat south carolina if we want to play them imo anyway. that means recruiting more athleticism and size.

That’s taking the easy way out. They didn’t stop playing us when we were beating them years ago
