- The fine weather arrived just in time for me a Gerry to tick off a bucket list mountaineering route on The Isle of Skye! The Clach Glas to Bla Bheinn traverse is something I have wanted to do for years and it didn't disappoint! A new member of Steaming Boots is also introduced .....

No matter how many people climb these routes, you are still far, far less than 1% of all those living who will ever do so. Fantastic video, well done gentlemen.
Again absolutely brilliant, though they hieghts have me on edge of chair ,love seing others climb ,absolutely brilliant getting the views you share with us ,Thankyou ❤🏴❤

I was genuinely nervous at times during this one, Murray. But what an absolute stunner! Thank you soooo much for sharing. Stephen's excellent camera work made it even more incredible. That place is so special, so dramatic and awe inspiring. A challenging climb indeed. We once went to Skye, three days of glorious sunshine, though we didnt do any big climbs just being there was such a joy, never forgotten

I thought we'd seen the last of those yellow trews. Sadly not, and now they appear to have spawned a matching climbing helmet.
Brilliant vid Murray, I recall looking over at Clach Glas from Blaven's summit and thinking "No Way!"
In my opinion the best view on Skye and in my top 10 hills in Scotland.
The 30 cam and drone footage really brought back the scary airy drop offs and with that coastal gusts of wind it makes that bit more nervy.
Excellent video and I can never have enough of Isle of Skye.
Likewise - absolutely love Skye too - always look forward to my trip to Skye / got a few more videos over the coming from the Isle of Skye over the next few months too

Watched this on the television Murray and it brought back many happy memories. The downclimb on the Imposter is something else eh? Hats off for managing to film as much as you did, no mean feat when 100% concentration is required to stay attached to the mountain! Well done to you both and of course to Stephen for his camera work 👏

Great video Murray. I did the CG traverse with Martin Moran on a day of filthy weather. I have loads of grainy headcam footage of the traverse but your excellent film gives me much better views of the route, and particular details like the Imposter. Revived great memories for me. What can you say Murray absolutely amazing..took me right back to when we were on Skye & walked up to the fairy pools looking up the cuillins I was in total awe..The best mountain scenery I've ever laid eyes on up there I fell in love with the place..I just wanted to get up among those mountains..I'll definitely have to visit the place again & get amongst it all..tfs Andy..

Absolutely stunning I did that route many years ago when I was a lot younger with my brother on a summers day cracking scrambling and the imposter was fab fantastic production as usual really interesting great footage cheers

Insane climb after last week's vid. The third party gets some screen credit for being patient like Michael Collins while the other guys walked the Moon. :-)
That looks like a magical route! Though I would want a rope for the downclimb too - gah. Really interesting to see the contrast between the super-zoomed camera footage and the headcam footage, which is clearer but distorts it so much. That downclimb still looked terrifying though!
It was a magical route and a great mountain. Not too much I can do about the 360 camera TBH, same with most action cameras back to the days when I used to have the gopro on the helmet !lol maybe one day the bigger cameras will reduce in size to get them into action camera size :) wil probably happen at some point.lol Much fun was had on this adventure though :)

@@ScotlandsMountains I still appreciate the headcam footage as it does give a lot of detail about the climb, and at least you manage to keep your headcam fairly still, not an easy thing to achieve I suspect!

Skye has to be one of my favourite places. Epically beautiful.
Camera's never really manage to show just how amazing the scenery is.
Need to make the most of the dry days though, few and far between some years.
