I was thinking a while back. He had some silly scripts, but he DID really act. Put in a bad situation, but he took it seriously, and gave it his best, no matter what. I think it took real acting to pull those off. You can see it in him! And he was good at tough, serious, gentle, comedy, good with kids, animals, and for sure good at romance! 😉

Awesome reaction Jamel Elvis was the best friend i ever had in my entire life. we met when i was 17 yrs old. I won a radio show contest and the prize was a day with Elvis but our friendship lasted past that one day in time. All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. dancing and singing breaks my heart because i know he is not here anymore my mind understands but my heart never will, i saw him a few weeks before he passed we had a short conversation which i will never share again because people are so nasty and comment hurtful heart breaking things they do not know me but they still can't keep their mouths closed about things they know nothing about. When Elvis was in Vegas it was impossible to be depressed!, The whole town was happy, no matter where ya went or who ya talked too.. And was only time Vegas was ever like that he said :) I was forced to grow up with Elvis LOL and man the stories. But when house/yard cleaning day happened, it was Elvis's music my Pops would play, and believe me, cleaning was never more fun!!! I still put him on to clean, it really does go faster with Elvis 😜

I'm in my 50's, and grew up with Elvis. My mom and people her age LOVED him, but I didn't really appreciate him till I got older. Being a hard-rock stoner dude in the 70's, we kind of goofed on him. As I got older, and being cool (like I thought, LOL) wasn't so important, I started to really appreciate him (and a lot of other things). He really IS the KING. Fun fact: Elvis gets overlooked as being the AWESOME guitar player that he really was. Whenever you hear a tasty guitar hook in an Elvis song, (i.e. Suspicious Minds) - that's Elvis playing....

I guess I was 3 years old when I started watching Elvis movies on TV. Mom would let me stay up past my regular bedtime. I couldn't sit still. I would try to copy the dancing. I enjoyed the movies and I think my parents enjoyed me trying to dance to the music. That's when music became my best friend!!
