Thanks for watching,
ka Odi.
I'm from Anambra based in Germany I love my ebonyi brothers and sisters ❤❤
Dalu nwanne m. I'm based in Malaysia but from Onicha in Ebonyi State. We love Anambra people as well. One love 💚
Most beautiful and organized market in Nigeria
Very massive and large
Ebonyi State is gradually moving ahead other States
David Umahi really deserves respect intense of infrastructures in Igbo land
That's good.
Unlike Igbo leaders way of doing things.
I never knew that an Igbo leader can be this good. A set of people that is always against their own region. it maybe that the juju or curse placed upon them has expired. Wawoo!, Enemy couldn't renew the juju before this one escaped among others. Thank God for Ebonyi people oo.
This is the best Market in NIGERIA. Imagine if this is in Aba? The entire West Africa will empty here.
But is there no any other land dat the can build dis in ABA, does it mean dat ABA have no land remaining. I love ABA o o o o
What I love with the igbos is always business. Bro their business sense is out of the world 💯🥰
This market infrastructure is better than most cities in Nigeria. The market is already looking better than the capital of kogi state, lokoja. 🤔🤣If Nigerians know what governor Umahi has done in Ebonyi state many will chase their state governor. I mean, look at a solid concrete pavement roads in a market, many states in Nigeria don't even have that in city nevermind in market...Welldone guys, nice to see Helen again.
Thank you
Very organized love it
I am very impressed !! I never thought there is an organize and beautiful market in the south east.
Imo state , Abia state, Enugu state and Anambra should learn from Ebonyi state how to build market. Nice video though as always.
Thanks for watching
Onitsha is strategically located at the Eastern gateway.
So almost every state in the South South and South East troops in there.
But it will likely lose its influence in the future due to many state building more organized markets like the one we have in Abakaliki.
Also the organization of Onitsha main mkt is very poor and there is absolutely no room for expansion or remodeling.
Traders of recent have stopped traveling a long distance to purchase goods due to it's associated risks.
Also when rail transport improves in the nearest future, goods will be evenly distributed across every state markets.
It's a quite a huge one, well designed and planned , by the time the International Airport cones on stream, it will boost activities at the market and most empty stores would have been occupied. Soonest people will be begging and looking for spaces in the market
Fingers crossed, hopefully it works out.
Eboh G,
Jisie ike! Thank you for taking the pain to show us these videos!
I saw the last one where Police were trying to frame you so you can bribe. Thank you for keeping your cool despite their antics.
Helen's corner is my girl o! Please encourage her to grow.
Great job and thank you for all you do for southeast Nigeria.
Thank you so much for this words of encouragement, I will keep doing my best
Thanks for your consistent support, I appreciate it alot.
This market is huge, well planned,if it had been that ebonyi state has sea port it would have over taken onitsha.
You can’t have a son before your father 🤣😂
Anyway kudos to Abakaliki for the massive blocks of square mètres.
Market doesn’t spring up just because there blocks.
Do you have importers ?
Purchasing power?
Who are the potential buyers?
Location and environment of the market?
What would be the specialities ?
What are the possibilities of investment returns.
Every market has a history behind it…. That’s why Oba in Anambra international market wasn’t even finished.
Ebonyi is not known for trading, I don’t meant petty trading !
You can a good tailor from Enugu, Anambra or Imo but to make it in a commercial level you must shift to Aba in Abia.
@@dubemellit2932 dubem go and check ebonyi state IGR for the past few years.
This is very great and glad to see that Umahi built it.
Onitsha should be built this way too. And water port for importation of goods and services.....
Onitsha is commercial business hob of Africa, nothing like it previously including Lagos. I am very impressed by this market.
Watching from California, good job brother and Helen!
Thanks for watching
For the governor to build so much quality infrastructure is a display of responsibility and competence, but to also paint and beautify all his structures is a show of pure love for his people. We need to borrow Governor Umahi in Anambra state just for one year I beg una!
Unfortunately
I don't think we can be of help
Anambra don't need anything from Ebonyi to grow or succed
@@ozorrapheal9772 Indeed, we just need a good governor like Umahi.
@@proyouservicesltd3652
Soludu is there
@@ozorrapheal9772 Yeah he is, we have to see how he performs Anambrans have high expectations of him, I just hope he doesn't disappoint us.
nice work and another inspiring video! A lot of clean storage and packing spaces this is why Nigeria should manufacture more and import less from India and China.
We are so in love with open drainage. Even supposedly modern infrastructures are still built with open drainage. When the population go up in the market, the drains will become filled up with litter, flooding will follow up and the whole place will be a complete mess.
Honestly I don't know why Our government still construct open drainage system. Some argue that it is easier to maintain but I don't buy it. Like you pointed out it is disgusting. We should end it, particularly in our cities. Our drainage system should be covered.
Very massive, I'm impressed 👏 👌, it will take time for it to be fully occupied but very great to have it built 👍.
When our international airport will be ready this market will be competing with Onitsha main market, what do you guys think.
We are not in a competition with anyone
We are Ebonyians
We want to change our story
There should be dedicated enclosed green spaces lawns flowering shrubs also
David Umahi is really a great governor with high test desires of development. only one thing that destroys him is mismanagement of Ebube agu security against his people.
Mismanagement what? you want him to allow ipob terrorist to take over the state 🙄 ipob terrorist has no hiding place in ebonyi state they must be dirt with
The governor tried alot, I hail his vision. I really appreciate his development programmes in Ebonyi state. The market is very very big. With time it get bigger, although they need industry and factories to will upgrade their poor to middle class, which will elevate the state business.. Governor Umahi tried well. But nothing to compare the business in Anambra state.after Lagos is Onitsha, because one street small market population in Onitsha is more than the whole traders in this Ebonyi market. But this Ebonyi market is very organized. Thanks Mr Eboh
This is wonderful you guy have made me to come and collect shop in that market, my sister for show you are wonderful for making us that's in abroad to know how my town look like you are wonderful keep it up. Christian watching from Dubai across African.
That’s the biggest market I have seen anywhere! Is that place a desert? No provision for trees and grass /landscapes. Very impressive project, a real super market !
Eboh media, well done as always 👏👏
I'm enjoying every bit of it @Eboh Media. First to comment.
Thank you, I can always count on you 🙌
@@ebohmedia2459 you're welcome brother. I'll keep following you, cos I enjoy all videos
@@nsikakessien 🙌🙌
Ok I appreciate this kind of organised structures but I have one major criticism :
In a generally hot country, cities need shade. I'm just at the beginning of the video but I don't see a single tree.
If you look at other African markets or traditional Arab markets, they manage to either create a naturally shaded space by the use of narrower streets or shading structures, either create a enclosed market (karikoo Tanzania, Kumasi market) either plant some trees.
I can't believe none of the individuals that build it thought about none of these options...because if they didn't they are seriously incompetent ....I mean this place is obviously dry and not spared by the harmattan (judging by the dust)... And seeing these wiiiiide and loooong streets with no shade ... Weird.
Nigeria should pass a law to ban open drainage/sewers
Great 👍 jobs 👏. Thank you so much Mr governor 👍 👏 😀
Very beautiful and organized, thank you governor umahi
It is very funny to compare Onitsha main market with this in terms of commercial activities.
Transforming the mind set of an individual brings about the Transformation of the environment. I pray for sustainability .
The market is hug, with time it will get populated. But we still have a long way to go in phasing out open and road market.
Good vlog Nwanemadu
Hopefully the market ever get populated.
Daalu my brother 🙌
Ebonyi indigenes generally, they don't like to enter shop. They prefers roadside kiosk.
The place is beautiful we don't have this in Edo
Very nice and organized
Nice. This is a well conceived project. It does show what a market should be. Definitely a trailblazer.
The market is nice, but looks very scanty to me.
This is great
Thanks for the video.
Nice and well organized market setting.
You are welcome
this is so sweet. well done.
Thanks for watching
This is what comp. Village should look like..I love the place..
Beautiful city
Beautiful place
I think as time goes, the market will be well populated
Hopefully
Nice content brother
Nwanne 🙌
Great video, no sign of electricity
Blame your governor if your state is not like this..
That tower is fire brigade training and fire drill tower,
Thanks for the info.
Gov Dave Umahi, pls come to Abia State... Please.
Omo we trek ooo
You did well 😀
Very organized
This is nice
Thanks for watching
I have just two demands to ask here, "1 ndi Ebonyi should please kindly forgive governor Umai for some of his mistakes at the moment, "2 ndi Enugu should demand for a comprehensive audit report of monies allocated to Enugu State for the past 7years, because their governor Ugwuanyi has done nothing in Enugu State
The video brightness is the best for me
Love you guys
Thanks for watching brother
Nigeria please give us David umahi for president
Impressive. Can anybody buy/rent a shop in the market or is it for Ebonyi indigenes only?
Wow, it really large, but with little population, but I and a bit too expensive,
This was only lot 1 you toured. There's still lots 2,3,4,5
I'm aware, will tour more in the future.
I respect umahi in terms of projects
But you can come over to Katsina Station, Katsina city central Market, it the best
...and Helen is a refreshing feature: "to make this video is not moi-moi, oh!"...very funny!
🤣
Indeed she is, glad she did this with me.
Thanks for watching
I prefer this type of market than the one you will have to push people to pass through and loose your wallet or phone in the process lol
At least better than ariaria market
Nice video @Eboh media, I enjoyed all your videos. No doubt Ebonyi International market looks beautiful but there's no way it can be compared with Onitsha's main market. It' will take Ebonyi 1000 years to get close to where the main market is today. Onitsha as a city has been in existence since the early 17th century, and the main market is the largest market in the whole of West Africa. What this means is that people from different parts of Africa visit the market daily. Secondly, Anambra people are generally known for commercial business, that is why there are lots of markets in almost all the towns in Anambra. Moreover, most of the major import merchants from Eastern Nigeria have their head offices within the market. The average traders in the area are known to bring in at least six consignments of 40 tonnes (40-feet containers) of goods annually. what this means is that 70 per of Importers in Nigeria are from Onitsha's main market and out of 100 containers that come into the country, 60 go to Onitsha. So there is no comparison between Onitsha and Ebonyi
Yes dear brother, but our stupid continued sit at home and UKGM killings is destroying the whole progress.
Sorry for you to say it will take Ebonyi 1000 years to get close to Onitsha main market
But remember it jus took Ebonyi less than 5 years to have the best and highest numbers of Flyovers above Anambra at large, jus less than 6 years to have the Biggest Shopping Mall in Nigeria which your Anambra is included, in just less than 5 years your Anambra Govt house has become a Glorified Village compared to Ebonyi new Govt house, in less than 4 years almost all roundabouts/the Bridges was beautified with Water fountains/lights which will be hardly seen in Anambra, the ongoing International Airport in Ebonyi State even though still under construction, has placed your Anambra international airport as a local village warehouse, so if it will take Ebonyi jus less than those few years to beat Anambra in many things, why will it take it 1000 years to overtake the Onitsha main market?
You're here Bragging and hyping when you know nothing about Ebonyi State
@@igweemmanuel159 Sorry for you too, I don't know why we like Insults. Your reasoning is very parochial and childish tbh. What are flyovers, shopping malls, and water fountains? The problem is that we always try to be in competition with others. Who is bigger than you is bigger bro, Anambra is not in competition with anybody so I would advise we stop all this unnecessary comparison. I have explained what the Anambra people are known for, what I expected the Ebonyi govt to do is to focus on their strength which is agriculture. What is wrong with Umahi making Ebonyi state the foodbank of Africa, it can attract people from different parts of Africa to Ebonyi thereby increasing the state IGR, and also helping in lifting millions of Ebonyians out of poverty. The airport is good no doubt but if you ask me, I don't think it should be the priority for now.
@@igweemmanuel159 that is if you are lucky to have another governor like Dave Umahi, its not really easy to have such people many times
@@okechukwuezissi8642 check your comment first and know who first started comparison
U said it will take Ebonyi 1000 years to get to Onitsha main market, and I tried to correct you that you don't hold the future, thereby, you can't predict what will happen in years to come! And I gave you instances on what Ebonyi State jus took over Anambra jus within some few years, ...
I love our traditional markets more , but i do think they should change these to subsidized housing , that will help many
🌲🌲🌲🌲
The only city that can give Onitsha a run for its money in the south east/west in terms of commercial activity is Aba...
Very much impressed by the structures and the layout of the market. How far is it from the Abakaliki city centre?
It's in Abakaliki, few poles away from the government house junction.
Can you get a drone shot?
To maintain the market, government should not allow market Union to control the market as they are only after money. You can't control what you did not built. Union should only be for Union activity, not to control market. This is what is killing most market in Nigeria. In the 80s we have a beautiful market in port Harcourt called mile 3 market, well planned but various union chairman have built extensions thereby destroying the architecture of the market.
The drainage should be covered or 6months time it will be filled with dirt
The market is nice though, but looks very scanty to me.
The open drainage is the error in this magnificent place
Why we have to watch ad hardly interested?
I thought she doesn't know the prices. Well Eboh you're still my goat 🐐 in vlogs
Thanks for your consistent support Luiz
Why didn't the authorities gave no though about planting trees like Marula asumac Areca Palm plumeria etc Which will enhance its beauty
The governor did a very good job here all thanks to him but wat am against is him naming it after his mother instead of eboyi international market
There's nothing like eboyi
Moreover
Naming it after his mum doesn't stop people from using it
The market is too open no trees .They should have made provisions for fruit trees, that will provide food and oxygen to the market
This market can never beat onistha main market
In chaos and dirtiness ?
Edit , i didn't finish the video before making this reply . So it is unwarranted
In dirtiness and unkept, me I don't go to your Onitsha market, is unhealthy
That's why I strongly doesn't accord my tribe Igbo because we're so stupid
I'm from Anambra, but what will happen if all Igbo state become developed. The only problem I'm seeing here is housing nearness to the market and company to draw peoples attention
I could remember in 60's when Enugu was Eastern region capital but what happened, zik built osha market and it drew attention, to me populace of a city is a contemporary issue
Say this without crying man
So this man built a market as a governor, with public fund, then named it after his mum? Incredible!
Away from that, this is impressive project, I hope it's maintained, and it doesn't turn to another Ariaria Aba. There should be mechanism put in place for maintenance and cleanliness
Maybe he should have named it after ur mother..coz I don't y u have problem with the name.
The market should have been named 'Public Fund' market lol
The market should have been named 'Public Fund' market lol
Not a single tree at site . Our people seem to have forgotten that we are juggle dwellers .
But still rather impressive nonetheless
Appreciate the good infrastructure first
@@sidex4 do you have problem with reading comprehension ?
Perhaps you overlooked the " but still rather impressive " part
Swears Dave doesn’t work well with trees 😂
No greenery. Really sad
Ubani Ibeku main market in umuahia is bigger than this.
Thanks so much
Nice one with Helen
Please visit the medical university and centenary city
Thank you
I visited the centenary city in the previous video before this one and about the medical university hopefully I will do that on my next video.
So you have this kind of market and u have been hiding it come on show this market to the world God bless nigeria
did they compare this to Dubai? Chai!
It may not be up to Dubai but it's one of the best markets in Nigeria. The infrastructural works going on in Ebonyi are mind-boggling. Was there last year and was blown away.
Please what has governor ugwuanyi did for Enugu people in all his tenure?? Yet he's planning to go to Senate.
No new tared roads, no flyover, no international market, no schools renovated. EFCC will be waiting for him soonest
Soludo has something to learn here not by making mouth
Ebonyi is a backward useless worthless state, that's why millions of Ebonyi people are running to Anambra to live
This is what is called market, If you buy a shop in this place it worth's it. This is what I thought that delta state should have done in Asaba since they are neighbors to the commercial harbor of Onitsha, rather they kept producing impoverished animal mentality governors who has never seen money in their lifetime except since they became governor they start looting the delta treasure and forget about basic infrastructures they need to grow the state economy. No matter the cost of this market the state will cover the money in no distant time from yearly taxes. I wish all the southern states should copy this standard market structure.
Why saying it's a waste of money olodo vlogger
This is a legacy project by a forward thinking government.
Why everywhere is empty no people inside the market
If pain can allow visit the market to know if it's empty or not
Do so
@@ozorrapheal9772 visit Ebonyi for what,no need because the state alone is empty so there's no need of going there
@@nzebuchi1387
And I here by confirm to you that you are a deluded and frustrated man
Get a life
Would never be a waste of market if it was built in a commercial city like ABA
A market of this calibre won't be built in a slum environment like ABA
Think about the traders health first
They need a very clean and condusive environment for their business
The market is a good idea, but the buildings are ugly and why would he name government property after his mother, as if it’s his personal business. Also they should make it more visitor friendly by having park, movie place , restaurants and entertainment in the market. The color screams old fashioned and should be upgraded. And if they want more people, make a law to stop road selling and require people to have a shop or give it free to people.
Everything is international in Ebonyi state. lol. my people you dont need to add international in every little thing. Even people cameroon may not even know about this market yet it is international
Jealous man I hail.
Sorry but the market lacks this market feel . There is this feeling you get when walking inside a covered market, weaving your way through the many warrens . This one is beautiful but it looks like a giant motor park with rows of shops. It is beautiful and organized but boring to watch.
I prefer this type of market than the one you will have to push people to pass through and loose your wallet or phone in the process
I am dumbfounded you’d call it a waste of time. Why?
I never called it a waste.
Thanks for watching brother
He didn’t mean to say is a waste, Is Called “Click bait”.
Very dark video
Nonsense, after walking for 7 minutes you will be tired . Having you people see Markets in America and Europe, they build one building that can contain 20000 stores . Africans need to improve.
Nigeria is Not America and is Europe here is Africa Nigeria
This is very poorly designed, they could have done better to much space wasted. They could have done better
man can you speak igbo? this is getting annoying
Bro, stop this Igbo madness, this is CZcams alot of people watches it not only Igbo people
Mugu , tell him to speak hausa
