- Our brand new foal is 2 days old and its time to let her and mama, Jessie out tonoaature for the first time! It’s a big world and it takes Chantilly a second to get her long legs going but once she figures it out she can’t stop RUNNING! She is just adorable and once if the sweetest foals for sure!

Jessie is such a "helicopter" mama, ha ha ha!! I find it interesting how mares are so different. Some are like, do your thing while I eat, then others are like Jessie. 😊
Just like human females
My first mare was like that. She actually had retained placenta because every time she would lie down to clean, the foal would take off and she would get up and follow her.
Very attentive, good mama! ❤
With how many times she was spinning around, it's a wonder she didn't become airborne 😂
Most mares act this way the first few days, especially the first times going outside. After a few days they don't bother as much anymore. So I guess it's not so much the character of the mare, it's the stage the foal that determines the mares behaviour.
Poor Jessie. Chantilly has her spinning around and around. Mom wants to enjoy the pasture and sunshine.😊
Jessie is such a beautiful mare! Look at that shiny coat!! What a good mama she is. Stays close to Chantilly as she learns to run, encouraging her foal.❤❤❤😊😊😊
Emori I just love listening to your "mama talking to baby" voice. I'm 72 years old and it makes me smile and remember talking to my babies, human and animal, in my "mama to baby" voice.

Is there anything cuter than a baby horse, especially this little gal! She really has the wiggle when she walks as she walks. Mama as you can tell wants to take some bites of grass but off her little darling goes and mama has to keep up, Chantilly gets pooped out after her time adventuring around and takes a nap, so sweet. Emeri you have the "BESTEST" BABY FOAL!!!!
So cute watching a new foal find their legs 😊 “Wow Momma! look what I can do on these things” Chantilly Lace is just the cutest. Her name absolutely suits her. You all should name your next male foal born “Big Bopper” 😆

Anybody who thinks that gaited horses are artificial and cruel, just watch this little one gaiting around mama at two days old. Of course, the kind of folks who think that way probably don't even realize that is what this baby is doing naturally. She's a dandy.

She's so beautiful & her eyes are so sweet & alert. Mama is so intelligent & kept trying to prevent her newborn from running off. She was trying to enjoy the grass, but being an instintively great mom, her baby was her top priority. She was making sure to keep her baby near her ❤

oh my word i am so excited to see how Chantilly's personality will develop over the years from newborn foal to mare. She is already a hoot with her long wobbly legs as she thrusts her nose out to mom for visual cues and support lol. But her over all charisma and willingness to be social along with her alertness to her surroundings - can't wait to see her over all final finished self :)

Chantilly is already such a sweet & pretty, long legged filly that l’m thinking she’ll be stunning as a yearling & then full grown Palomino mare with her white blaze, mane, tail & stockings contrasting beautifully against her golden coat colour💕🐴

It's interesting to see momma training the baby to run next to her by trying to keep up with her running around in the beginning. She lines her body up with the baby to teach her to stay close by her side so she won't run off too far.
