I’ve been searching for silk shirts with contrasting-color collars and cuffs, especially with the collar and cuffs in white (not ivory) for several years now. There seem to be some in cotton, but I have only been able to find one in silk: ivory/ecru with black collar and cuffs. I like it well enough, but I’m still hoping to find exactly what I want. I don’t wear black bottoms nearly as much as I wear white, so this one with black trim won’t get as much use. Silk is my three-season fabric for all but summer, and in summer I prefer linen, I overheat so easily that cotton can be too warm for me. I love silk long-sleeve silk shirts or other tops on their own in spring and autumn, or under a cashmere or Merino sweater in winter. I just love contrasting-color trim in general and Googled clothes with it for almost two years until it finally came back on-trend.

For business settings a colored shirtdress is just as appropriate as a neutral.

There’s no reason a cropped blazer can’t work well with an A-line skirt, especially for us petites. I love a fitted blazer, but a long one isn’t the only option.

In English, you need to use articles as part of the language. It’s not correct to say just “blazer is” or “shirt-dress is”. Either use the indefinite article “a shirtdress is”, etc., or the definite one “the shirtdress is”.
