*activating grammar nazi mode* it is what ifs not what if's the 's indicates it as possessive and you were not referring to a person therefore making the apostrophe incorrect and only s would be needed to make it plural BUT the word what's does not have to be possessive to be correct as the 's in what's is short for is, so what's up is short for what is up so in some cases the added apostrophe can be correct in a way that is not possessive but what if's is not the correct way to put it.
