Samebike 20LVXD30 - Unboxing and first impression. This video is a bit different video style than I usually make let me know if you like these types of videos!
To unlock the speed: Press and hold the m button while holding in left or right brake and twist the throttle fully, then turn the bike on and off with your key. The next time you turn on your bike it should be unlocked
Love the video man. Just got my Engwe EP-2 the other day and just waiting for the weather to improve so that I can take it out on a spin, but it's a hell of a lot bigger than I was expecting.
Yeah! The fat wheels definitely makes the bike a lot bigger but it's not too bad onces you are riding it. I actually prefer the the ep-2 compared to this samebike! Just feel more confident going faster with a heavy bike :) hope you get the sunshine! I'm waiting on the sun here as well so I can finish filming one of the videos I have lined up
This bike has no adjustment for assistance levels. When pedalling, It's either Full Power, or, Zero power. Don't buy one until you're sure this suits you.
Thanks for the video. I have some question. Only 18 kg? The samebike amazon shop says its 25-29kg. And what is the length of the handlebar please? And what is the maximum height of saddle?(as the seller's description is not highly dependable I assume)
Is it possible to swap around the display unit and the gear change on the handlebar? It seems more logical to have the gear change nearest the handle grip.
Great vid. Thinking of getting one. On some photos of the display, I've seen the battery life shown as a percentage - Is this available to change in the settings? Plus, I'm wondering where the 3 speed settings are located? And finally, have you tackled any hills with it? I've seen other bikes with a 250w motor but from what I've read, this is the 350w, so hoping that it gives a bit of extra shove...? Thanks
First the display with the battery percent, sadly no the newer once only display bars I believe, the older models have had a different display, also I've not been able to find a manual for it. I contacted the seller and all they've given me are links to CZcams videos of them unlocking the speed limit. For the speed selection you need to enable it in the display itself least from what I've gathered from peoples comments, again no actual manual for it so I'm stuck with one speed setting for now. Lastly as for hills... I've tackled a 9 degree (steeper in some parts) gradient hill near my house, it a hub motor so it struggles a bit just need to switch to lower gears and pedal up it, From my experience you'd need something with a 1000w power output to tackle hills with relative ease, torque is just not there for hub motors when tackling hills. My other bikes 500w ones doesn't have that extra kick feeling but it does make it easier to pedal through, its a hard feeling to describe. you'd still be moving around 15-20km depending on your legs. Sorry couldn't give you definitive answers because of the lack of a manual :(
@@JeffyTology Thanks very much for your quick and thorough response. Much appreciated. You mean the seat itself is rotating? If so you might need to adjust the clamp tension. You can do this by opening the seat clamp and rotating it clockwise while holding the other one in place.
Just got one today and am in the process of getting it roadworthy. One thing that surprised and disappointed me is, on my bike, the battery’s not detachable - haven’t figured out why there’s a keyhole underneath the frame which can be ‘locked’ and ‘unlocked’ to seemingly unlock the battery, but while a small silver nub raises and lowers on the frame when the key’s turned, the battery won’t move, even though there’s a liftable handle on the end of the battery to assist in pulling it out?
Hi Woodenti, it is actually removable, there are three points when you turn the key. "unlocked" where the silver knob is retracted all the way and you can remove the key, "battery locked" where the knob is raised and you can still take out the key, and the last one is where the knob is fully raised and you can't take out the key.
Hiya, thanks for that! Tried for ages earlier on, just went back to it and, yeah it is removable. Messaged the Chinese seller and they said the battery wasn’t removable!? Hopefully, everything now will be downhill😉
@@woodentie8815 No worries mate, I find that with some Chinese sellers they either didn't understand you fully or they are just saying whatever you want to hear because it is the fasted way to 'resolve' the issue. Not their fault most of the time its just the language barrier! I would suggest getting better brakes for your bike and some better lighting for both front and back! the front led is good enough at night so other people can see you on the road but when its dark out you wont see too much ahead haha! A nice normal bell too would be pretty good! I actually prefer using bells instead of the loud horn they have.
There are two keys, you have to make sure your battery is locked and you got to use a separate key for the hand throttle. Make sure you've charged your battery as well

Top speed is 25kmph, I haven't changed the speed limit on this unit. Unlocked you're looking at 35kmph when near full charged and around 27-30kmph nearing half battery capacity.
because of EU + UK restrictions, they have to limit it to 25kmph. EDIT: This might just be gear ratio: For my bike at least this is what I need to do to change the speed.
