I’m loving your messages & the fire that comes from the heart. I don’t saw much any longer but I’ll always be watching and listening. Because what you are is what I need and I go away being a bit happier. Keep at it my friend.
Isn't that a Super Pro 81 Billy? My neighbor sold me one identical that he said was seized up. Turns out his son stuffed rope in the hole while he was doing a repair. His son moved shortly after. I felt guilty only giving him 150 for it since it ran, albeit poorly so I fixed it, cleaned it, painted it, tuned it, & gave it to him for Christmas. New years day he called and said to check my porch. There sat a new Stihl 271 Farm Boss. Being honorable leads to be being honored in return.
That’s an awesome chain of events! Thanks for sharing! I have a beautiful Mac model 47 and I’m thinking about restoring it as best I can and give it to an elderly friend for old time sake. He won’t be cutting any wood with it but just knowing he could is what will bring his smile.
Hey Billy, the world is a better place with the energy you are puttin' out. I am sooooo blessed to have found your channel. Love your drum sessions!! Keep them coming. A while back , i donated my Ludwig set to a local school who was in desperate need of it. The joy from hearing them rock out is priceless! Totally relate to freedom from a life-chaning event. Each morning my feet hit the ground, I am filled with gratitude. That's it for me👍
buckin i came here as wee lad only 24 years of age tryna learn how to tune a saw but as always there's a stronger message love the videos been watching for about 2 years on and off but im doing a tree job right now so i knew where to come for advice and a laugh, keep up the good work and inspiring this next generation we need it
As well as the fact that with every video I learn something, your 'ramblings' make a good deal more sense than many an utterance of those who think themselves clever.
Buckin' you have a heart of gold, and I pray you get to know the love of Jesus Christ so we can be fallin' the great heavenly cedars of lebanon together for eternity, brother. God bless you!
Love the channel. And i love the message it sends to those fortunate enough to tune in and pay attention. I stumbled upon your channel a few years ago after buying my first power saw. (a mac of course) Been a subscribed and grateful viewer ever since. Keep up the good work brother. The world needs more Buckin' Billy Ray's.
Another great message Buckin! We can always use the reminder & your focus on positivity has never been more needed. Your service is more than you probably know,...thank you.
I’m so glad I found your channel. Sitting in my recliner after knee replacement feeling sorry for myself. You bring me back to reality!!! I’m lucky in many ways. You are an inspiration. Wish more people were like you. Thank you !
I just love this man and his great attitude towards life and human beings. He sure has lifted my spirit over the years. He has a givers heart not only with money but his time and his love.
I love the fact that you mentioned keeping a lot of the good things you do to yourself instead of shouting from the roof top about how great you are for doing good things.. If you have to tell people about every good thing you've done, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.
Buckin! Happy new year! Love ya, your community and your message so much! Here we come 2023 and we’re all gonna be kinder, stronger, more peaceful and it’s gonna be contagious! God bless everyone who comes across Buckin’ and his army!
The sounds that came from the saw while you were tuning are very familiar to people. And if a person don't know how to solve it, they take it to a shop. Your videos have probably saved many people a lot of money. I'm won of them. Thanks again Billy!
Buckin’ I just wanna say thank you man. From the bottom of my heart. I have grown so much and so quickly running chainsaws thanks to you. I started cutting line and wildland firefighter and now do a little of everything. Much love brotha.
Much love from Indiana Buckin’ been on the channel for a few years now and learned so much. I agree with not giving energy to the negativity and such. There’s no point. Heres to an awesome 2023 🤘🤘
God Bless you BBR! We have three generations in this household watching you and receiving the positive vibes you send There are a lot more good then bad out in the world. We love what you do and learning along the way. Peace be with you!
I’m so happy I found your channel. I found my dads ol 850 just waiting on a carb kit and this video is great info as well as all your other ones. I thank you sir
How can anyone accuse you of grandstanding Buckin? You are the kindest man ive come across, sharing must be your middle name. Another great video. Thank you very much
I'm a relatively new viewer (2-3 months) and I love all aspects of your videos, especially your raw and honest life stories and philosophies, but also the fact that you have absolutely no problem takin' a second to launch snot darts when needed. 😆For me that says a lot about you. There's just a real genuineness and spirit of true grit about you that is inspiring. Enough smoke. One thing I love about you is that you usually manage to say or show things in a way that is easy to follow and grasp. I love that. HOWEVER... on this video in particular, which I watched specifically because I'm interested in learning tuning, I really wish you had taken just a few more seconds to provide a few details that would have helped me, and maybe others, in making these kinds of adjustments. I was being careful to watch the way you turned your screwdriver while you were using terms like "lean it up" or "fatten it" but it was a little hard to follow. In particular, I would have benefited if you'd actually said clockwise or counter-clockwise, to accomplish those conditions. So I'm deducing that when you say "lean it up" you mean restrict the flow of gas, which means closing a valve, which means turning CW. And of course the opposite is true for "fattening." Then at the recap, at 12:00 mins, you say "turn your jets all the way in. Seat them. Then open them up." The only thing you did to help me out was you spun your right hand CCW when you said open them up. So "open them up" by turning CCW, and "lean it up" or close by turning CW, right? Other than that one gesture, without you saying CW or CCW, I just didn't get a warm and fuzzy on my understanding.🙃 Last thing... you hooked me, and most likely many others, the very first video I watched because at the end you championed the simple and critically important values that are so desperately waning in the world. We need more of that. Thank you for taking up that banner and for being such an encouragement to others to do, say, and think the right things. I've never watched someone get to a million subscribers, but I'm looking forward to seeing it happen. 😀👍
well Michael , first off thank you , for yer words . and to be honest im just gettin' started. i must of done something right in the video , as you figured out the riddle that was this tuning video.😁thank for watchin' if you like you can just ask me a question , im in here all the time and we are a community workin together . so as to CW and CCW yes sir turning a carb screw in is clock wise . to the seat . leaning ... restricting . love ya buddy , and welcome
Wouldn't have dreamed one could gift such an abundance, in a tool maintenance video. (Im realizing we're the tools, and we need tuning) I was blessed enough live in a monastery for some months, and I'm telling you, you are a swammi. A very gifted, beautiful, and powerful one. I can't think of a greater gift the world could use, more than the wisdom you share. You communicate it simply, beautifully, and you embody/live it. Your service is priceless Billy, you bless us with so much more than how to cut into a branch collar. Thank you for continuing the practice, and I love you. (I may go back if i enjoyed the meal, cause sometimes we're not our best selves, and it's too easy to pass judgment. Forgiveness is a big one I'm working on)
Buckin. Another great teaching video. Love the content on tuning a saw. Going to go out and give it a whirl. I want to thank you for letting me into your life, your positive attitude and energy level keeps me wanting for more. The wood cutting is just a big bonus. Keep it coming, love seeing the stumps being made. Can’t wait for the new year to get rolling. Hope to connect with you this year. ❤
When you speak of "being free,' it resonates very deeply with me. I am torn when I consider how the powers remove the freedom from regular people (for example, when google decided not to allow me to monetize my political channel, Howell Underground, because I challenged the status quo). I admire you for being free and for not feeling the need to 'suck up' to the rich and powerful entities--not even to your own subscribers. It's a tremendous gift to be able to be completely candid. Almost no one with a big voice (talent agencies call such people 'thought leaders") is allowed to use it in a way that disrupts the powers. This logger's son from Oregon appreciate your message of peace and kindness. May the adversary never succeed in tearing you down or even diluting what you have to say. All the best in this brand new year!
Buckin you got me wanting one of those old McCulloughs just because of the memories that it brings back, almost like a classic car or first automobile for most people. I have many years of learning to fix and maintain chainsaws along with books on it ,but your demonstration of tuning them is more helpful than most other information. Just goes to show that you can always learn something new every day. Thanks
Your channel is a pleasure to watch. This tuning video is exactly what I was looking for. Just picked up two second hand saws, both need lots of love. Thanks for the help! Nick's boots are amazing too!
Happy New Year to Ya and family Buck'n. Those of us that's had or believe we had, "near death experiences" are so very grateful to be alive we want to pass it on to everyone. Thank Ya Billy.
Thank you so much. You taught me how to do this. I was able to bring my father’s pro 10-10 back to life which was a bonding moment and brought him great joy. Especially after the shop couldn’t fix it.
Thanks for the tune up video!! I've struggled with a few saws trying to get them idling. Still here, still love ya BBR! Meeting you at Bunyan was the highlight of last year for me and my wife. Thanks for giving your time!!
I think your a awesome, hard working guy that is truly trying to do his part on guiding and influencing people to do rite and be a pillar for they're community!
Thank you for what you do, keeping it real and sending out a positive vibe. I started watching you about three weeks ago and I appreciate the information you share. It has upped my game with my equipment, knowledge is power, keep up the good work.❤
Hi Buckin. Picked up my first saw (Husky 455 Rancher) a few months ago, but i had no mentors to show me the ropes. It was at this time I found you and you became that mentor. Ive yet to start ripin as I havent got any PPE yet, but Id like to thank you for being you and sharing that with me. Informative and uplifting. Currently in NS but formerly Comox and Campbell River, so not too far from your stompling grounds. ALL THE BEST BUDDY.
Your amazing. Thanks for sharing your heart. Your going to love Liam. Found him years ago when he was just finishing Hugh school and i took a class from him. I made a carpenter hammer and i use it every day at work. Thank goodness i got a bunch of his axes when he wasn’t so famous but his work was impeccable. He cares and loves what he does and it’s truly an amazing thing when we find ourselves in work that we love.
I appreciate what you do greatly Buckin. What I really appreciate is you sticking up for Tinman, Harv, Morgan, Rob, Rootrot, etc. the list goes on. I support 4 households on my own dollar and it's just because. I'm here and willing, but your message and work are much greater than mine, but I try on my budget and my time. God Bless you and your family, friends and neighbors..and personally our enemies both foriegn and domestic who need to realize the absolute realization of the message you're putting out there.
I’m so glad the channel had such a great year in 2022, & I know 2023 is going to be even better!!! 5:01 I enjoy the voice-overs! 👍 28:31 I wouldn’t go back! 👎 Thanks for being kind, strong, vulnerable, hard-working & loving… you simply recipe for a good life is exactly what the world needs now! Thanks for everything🥰
Hi Buckin just keep up the good work , I love your good deep talks , I always get teary eyed, it all makes sense to me we have so much in common, being connected and grounded is so important, thanks brother love your content.
thank you for sharing your message, Buckin' I watch a lot of your videos and think they are just great for two things, great content that people can actually use, AND all the positivity you spread. Negativity has no place here.. keep up the good work please!
Thanks bucking for this video I asked for it a couple weeks ago I believe and now it's here I appreciate it more than ever God bless you my friend. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania called brackenridge it's one square mile our chief of police was ambushed on Monday he is gone he is in heaven looking down on us now but our town is grieving so bad his family is hurting so bad I cannot imagine what they're going through if anybody out there could please say prayers for our community and the family I would appreciate it God bless everybody
You know buckin i learn a lot about knocking trees down managing ropes and knots and if it wasn't for you and a few other i wouldn't have been able to clear my property so thank you keep up the good work and I appreciate what you do
Great message, great channel. I have to say your teaching on this channel has changed my power saw experience completely. Keep it up your doing amazing things.
Hey Buckin just wanted to say that thanks to you and the CZcamsr chainsaw people I fixed up an old Stihl 340 that hadn't run in 10 years. Cleaned out the carb and changed the fuel line and then tuned it up. It runs good and hasn't exploded yet so I think I must have done something right!
Thanks again for this video. I am re watching it. I think it will really help me in checking out why a Stihl 075 I bought second hand that would fire up, but not hold an idle. That part at 15:13 about not having too much idle is something I think will be a key component in sorting out saw carb tuning.
Billy... I love your passion for life! I accidently stumbled across one of your videos and now I'm a Subscriber! I love you talks... and even pick up some useful info on chainsaws and cutting timber🙂
Hey Buckin', love the info and the energy my friend. About to go out and finish cuttin, splittin, and stackin next years late winter wood from Tennessee much love.
Hay Bucken just wanting to thank you for your awesome channel. I personally have learnt so much about saws and sharpening matenance and just general knowledge about the whole industry in general from you and people whom you have recommended this last year since stumbling onto your blog it would have otherwise taken years to find out just a very small percentage of. I also love your message of love as love is the most important aspect of our so very short time on this planet. I am very much looking forward to seeing what you have instore for all who take the time to watch you this year. Thank you Bless you and may you prosper like never before in all aspects of your life. Yours Brendan.
I did this exact thing with my Poulan 4200. Idle screw out off the throttle (would start with throttle)and would not stay running unless i added throttle no matter how I tune the LOW. So i turned idle in so it was barely adding throttle so it would stay running. The idle screw can be a big issue if its turned in to much. Then tuned low for response and get it in the sweet spot. Then tune high. Great lesson. Learned a lot from this good man. Hope to meet him one day!!
Great video brother I always have turned my low jet right to the point where it is just starting to or close to moving the chain. As well as the idle sound all saw and brands are a little different but they are relatively the same! Love ya brother keep them coming!🤟🏻👏✊🏼
Buckin, love you buddy. Been watching for about 4 years. I don’t really comment but I love your message. I cut some fire wood on occasion however not as much as I use to. But I love the work and the good people that do it keep it up buddy. ❤
Good information. I always tune with the air cleaner installed incase it makes it run richer. I use to maintain all of Senske's equipment in the 90's. Man some of those young men were hard on the equipment. Running lean definitely makes them run hot. Thanks!
sure does.. years ago I bought a bike. it ran great - really great - better than any other bike I had, til one day at the top of a long long hill which I breezed up like the wind, it went pop and melted a hole in the piston. when I got the bike home and looked at everything I noticed the air cleaner was missing! lean = hot power but too much and your goner have a short day!!
I’m loving your messages & the fire that comes from the heart. I don’t saw much any longer but I’ll always be watching and listening. Because what you are is what I need and I go away being a bit happier. Keep at it my friend.

I have a beautiful Mac model 47 and I’m thinking about restoring it as best I can and give it to an elderly friend for old time sake. He won’t be cutting any wood with it but just knowing he could is what will bring his smile.
@@blademan6075 by all means please restore it! Very few things run like an old Mac!
Man Christmas twice awesome
You’re a good man for that. And your neighbor also. Great story 👍

I'm so glad you do this every now and then . Makes the day crazy good
Your going in the right direction. It does feel so good to help people. Keep on climbing up in this life.thanks for the words you speak.

So "open them up" by turning CCW, and "lean it up" or close by turning CW, right? thank you for sharing your message, Buckin' I watch a lot of your videos and think they are just great for two things, great content that people can actually use, AND all the positivity you spread. Negativity has no place here.. keep up the good work please!
I never though to cut the idle before tuning the low...thank you sir. Genius!
One of the best tips ever , never try to finish a cut with a dull saw, just stop. Thanks!
Thanks man, very helpful. Very insightful.
Thanks for the video, appreciate you sharing your experience
Back my idle out and leaned up my low and set my high to 1.25 turns and my throttle response is epic. Thanks billy!!!
Buckin, it's great to see your videos and the knowledge from experience you share. Thanks Brother, stay Buckin! God bless!

That was an awesome video...your presentation lends to understanding a challenging aspect of running an older saw. Thank you Sir.
WELCOME
That's just good stuff the whole kit and caboodle! And I'm talking from tuning to don't need you to feel good, I commend you and appreciate you!!!!!
GOOD ONE
As mad as a box of frogs Billy just the way the army like it 😂👍
Your amazing brotha keep up the great advice!
Great flick ! I’ve learned a lot about tuning and how my saws should run from you . Thank you !!
GLAD ITS HELPED
Thanks again for this video. I am re watching it. I think it will really help me in checking out why a Stihl 075 I bought second hand that would fire up, but not hold an idle. That part at 15:13 about not having too much idle is something I think will be a key component in sorting out saw carb tuning.
Keep up the good work my friend,I don't care what anybody says about you,you are awesome in my book period!
Dude, that is great stuff. So much important information! Love you brother.
HOPE IT HELPS
Your videos always do!
Yours Brendan.
thx friend
Thanks so much buckin your a very good teacher. Your a great man
Love you Buck'n !! ♥️♥️
The 850 too !!
Love ya Buckin !! Keep it up , love your content.
Hope to meet him one day!!
you will meet me i get around
Right On, Buckin…Press On with kindness! You’re doin’ good! Blessings from Central Oregon.
no stopping , only got the gunnin cut in lol 😁
Love your channel as for comments in a debate someone has to win ,in a discussion we have outcomes.
Great video brother I always have turned my low jet right to the point where it is just starting to or close to moving the chain. As well as the idle sound all saw and brands are a little different but they are relatively the same! Love ya brother keep them coming!🤟🏻👏✊🏼
Great tips Billy thank you brother, very helpful information
Thanks good info on carb adjustments
Love you, BBR and I love your heart. I also love the way you care about your powersaws. Proud to be a messenger of kindness and partner with you!
Thanks Billy. If only I learnt this 50 years ago.👍
Buckin, love you buddy. Been watching for about 4 years. I don’t really comment but I love your message. I cut some fire wood on occasion however not as much as I use to. But I love the work and the good people that do it keep it up buddy. ❤
THX
