Runic itself is not that hard. Its all the floodgates they hide behind that makes you scoop.

I still think it's hilarious how the best way to deal with "Pure" Spright is running engine shenanigans with other things.
Also hitting anything besides Gigantic with hand traps is usually a waste of time(outside of blowing them up with Gamma or Ghost Ogre to keep monster count down). That's the thing that often gets you to all the important tech options. The others provide negates, but those negates require tributes so thinning the board is your best bet. Removal Spells and Traps are gonna be a big part of this format, and Smashers is no exception to that prediction.
I was kinda rooting for the opponent even though i knew the result since this is a Dkayed video.
You should make this version but without runick. Curious on how you'd build it. The thought of playing Runick again makes me want to die. It's super boring.

@@XainArchives Are floods searchable now? Any lvl 2+a runick card basically guarantees a whole combo with multiple interruptions. The deck literally does not brick.

Oh, but they counter Nibiru, that's great right? I mean, so does swordsoul, so does branded, so does Bystial, so does Tearlaments, so does Kashtira, Adamancipator benefits from it, zombies flat out negate it, synchro continues to play as if it never existed, Pendulums isn't affected by it, rank 4 XYZ negates it, Shaddolls get off on it.

You know after watching the full video what I understood from this is that regardless of the fact that the strategy is toxic your knowledge of how do you use the lies the deck is what determines if you're going to win or not and that to me is perfectly fine this deck is actually w
Asside then thunder king raoh for menequin cat target, your also can used Jowgen as substitute for light monster which not half bad consider your stop them from special summon but it will impact your since spright special oriented, if your want to go budget jowgen is way to go. Another way since menequin cat can special summon monster from GY, you can play ultimate slayer or dogmatika punishment send ultimate falcon, DPE or rexterm to GY as dark monster target using menequin cat, but it slow but at least your have another way to try out.
Masquerena into Avramax remains such a timeless good combo

@@WhiteRaito forgot to mention 2-4 times today I had dark ruler no more and 1 imperm. The third he didnât but usually you use it if you see them end with elf, IP or Gigantic sprite. Not too many variants that matter most time runic canât attack after. Sprite is a glorified stall deck lol. But it helps To watch videos like this to see what people are playing and how to counter. Iâm playing punks so I have room

Yeah I definitely think you can set up double masquerade since they activate effects to special summon themselves but itâs more tricky since you have to time it right to not get floodgated by gigantic spright. Iâm playing punk because gamma is really nice in it and you can search ghost ogre and draw 2-3 pretty much every turn regardless of maxx c. Just throw in some evenly in case you go second and watch the world burn
@NotHappyBoi damn how many times did you not brick with that opening hand? But considering you play punk then they are just a 1 card combo so as long as you get starter even if 4 cards are handtraps its still playable

@@TerikT Are you asking about the deck they've been playing or how it's done in the video? In the video spright elf specials it back to your field during MP2 and then you I:P quick effect link it off into Unicorn re-triggering iblee's GY effect to special to opponent's field.
This is why Branded plays linguriboh and verte, done, whole deck countered, you made a deck that more often than not bricks harder than one or the other alone.

You have to think more about it if you have gems and mats then you can make this deck but if you have none then it's better to stick with you current deck type and grind in ladder no need to force yourself making this

True I learned it the hard way hahahha I make my opponent go for avramax because I negated most of there play and I try unicorn, attacking over it thinking red can negate the activation but all of it is pretty much useless so I try smasher then boom he is banish
With spright impact, i think mathmech will leave the tier list and it wont get nerfed

How is the deck underpowered if it's topping masterduel tournaments
It's arguably the best deck pre spright
And mathmech dosent even hard lose to spright
The reason it was considered good at POTE was because it had game against spright
Tear is what pushed it out of the meta
It's not underpowered IMO but it definitely isn't as strong as Spright. That said it is still a solid deck.

btw spright dies to a protos and ultimately to eschatos (who doesn't?), these nemeses cards are indeed toxic.
the duel should be about a battle of hand traps, interruption and interactions not to be someone who has a stronger/better floodgate that's why it is called duel and floodgate cards denies all of that. floodgate make the game a solo player solitaire + single viewer.
konami should ban all floodgates and anything that denies interactions!

I would say limit Fountain, but even 1 is too much. Either ban it or limit every Runic.
I played against this deck, mabe somone who saw this video or the video you got the deck profile from. The card that gave me trouble was Crusadia, Iblee was a joke against subterror. It was as toxic as this games got, had to suicide because he/she couldn't finish most of the combos and never attacked.

I really like this deck, but should a brand spanking new player who only got two Gigantic Spright's from opening packs try to make this deck asap? Right now my cards are so bad I'm just farming the new legendary event with the Red Eyes deck.
Do the events, grab the solo gems, get a duel pass. Sell everything thatâs not what you need for material. I farmed enough material to make this deck in 3 days on a new account. Keep in mind top tier decks get hit the most when ban list hit, unless they need to make more sales

Imperm the gigantic
Gamma or strike on elf
Ash the blue/jet
When spright can't go elf they auto lose no elf = no recovery
Ban Runic Fountain and Huggin Konami for gods sake
spright is definitely not the strongest because of the pre-nerf.
i would even say it is below mathmech, SS and despia.

I try this runick spright as my first variant and I freaking hate it you just need to grind and mill the opponents deck thats why I play evil twin spright if I go first I set up a board if going second I try to OTK no more 10+turn of milling hahahhaa

You hit the normal summon with Smashers and they're left with Iblee. Unless they run a link 1, they can't link it away

@@justapasserby445 yes not only can it compete it destroys them. its more consistent better against hand traps and puts up better hand boards than despia and swrodsoul. weather painter are sadly not the greatest deck tho so you might have trouble but spright should kill these decks

Niccce... But I would recommend running capshell and ipiria instead of the Chaos hunter and thunder king( they give more draws which is a plus) Also hunter stops your cards as well. Thunder king is a brick if you are not playing the spright mirror. The DEck destruction isn't bad for the mirror... or in general (you could replace it with any going 2nd card or staple if you want). Would replace man cat with anything ngl.... Going to the official Master duel meta site can be helpful.

Just try 2 and if you think everygame you are lacking then adding another 1 is OK but no need for 3 if you are just OK.

going 1st with sprites and doing fine not even excellent playing, for players going 2nd the rest of most dual is considered no more playable
UNLESS it is another sprites player,,,
mathmec or soulswords or dinosaurs or even lybrths can be defeated or counter with good plays, but this is giving sprites to lock up the whole dual
Itâs still seriously easy to beat. Just need to be smart. Strong deck but not hard to overcome.
Well so far there is no deck in master duel that is so op yet true SS and matchmech is tier 1 in tournament because of there consistency but you can still defeat them in ladder so in short better coin toss wins hahahhaha
@@jetherarroz1118 there are decks. Iv won in md diamond 1 against spright 26 games in a row. You just need to know what to do. Iv played them since ocg. Iâm use to them already

@@Supre3m3Kai I play zombie virtual world itâs a ocj deck. It deletes spright. I also use mathmeck cyberse. If your unaware of decks that play well against spright then you an amateur at best. You donât need to run spright to beat spright. There was a reason it fell off heavy after people realized it was easy to beat. Still strong deck to use but it wasnât say all be all anymore. Grave decks , decks that play from hand easily run through spright. People talk about ghost ogre as a tech to stop elf or gigantic. I bet half of you didnât even know ghost reaper and winter cherries out right kills their combo by matching anything in the extra. Hitting elf or gigantic before they have a chance to summon alongside a droll but droll is granted on what their hand already is like. Simple gran maju blind second even beats spright and all they have to do is tech in the possible extra deck card for ibli. The stuff is not hard. People refuse to actually look and build proper decks with out copying out of frustration. Cyberse eldlitch destroys it too. In MD spright with out union carrier or toad is not as formidable as you think. Ibli or syth lock is their best play which is easily stopped. Live twin spright is the Bette version, if they play that you expect syth. Runick spright is stall and easiest one to out, spright tri-brigade allows for heavy recursion meaning you need to beat them fast or lose to a grind game. People who rely on asking others for a deck list or deck their using are clueless to how to properly play the game and think for themselves and understand the decks their going against to properly beat them with out someone holding their hand.
@@Rilo888 Yeah, that's not why I asked đ. I didn't ask for a lesson on a deck I've dealt with for months in tcg and ocg. I asked because people who say this are usually playing BS themselves. "Oh, it's easy for me to beat Spright because I'm using Zombies or Umi Control or Green Maju or Floodgate.dek". Its always some minimum effort bs deck or another Meta deck. What about lower tier decks and rogue decks that can't play through 5+ interruption, that can't afford to run 15 HT + multiple going second cards, and that actually require effort?! đ€· Right, they die most of the time unless you draw a perfect hand and/or win the die roll.
Ngl with the decks I run... this hurts me.
