8 1/2lbs and dana never complained but moved fights around to accommodate. Then we never heard another word about it from the man. He's cut other fighters for missing less. That was the biggest 'free pass' ever given in UFC history. 8 1/2 lbs. Most I've ever seen and not have massive problems.

This is why fighters shouldn’t be allowed to take fights, the organizations should just assigned the fights to the fighters or at the least give them a choice to accept the fight or lose their spot in the ranking if they’re ranked or a cut in the pay for their next fight.

I think Khamzat has one issue and its that he's slightly too big for 170 and slightly too small for 185lbs. I think he'll miss weight again trying to make 170lbs and I think he'll run into trouble with the a couple of the guys at the very top of 185lbs.
I think if he moves to 185 he needs to fight Costa first, then we'll get a much better idea of how far he can go. I just can't envision Khamzat being able to beat a guy like Robert Whitaker who probably has enough wrestling to stop the takedown(Gilbert Burns did) and then on the feet I have a hard time thinking Khamzat beating Whitaker on the feet.
Honestly Khamzats best bet is to focus everything on his diet and trim down so he can make 170lbs safely but even still I think he'd have trouble with Colby and MUCH more trouble with Usman.
