    Man the last past decades been one unwanted roller coaster, hell from July 2017 till January of this year I've lost 16 family members at least I've lost count that's how fast it was coming, lost a classmate Saturday, that's the 4th one in a year & a half, life's crazy but gotta stay strong. ✊🏽💪🏽💪🏽

    I've always had the utmost respect for you Kennus and it breaks my heart to hear you going through all this. I was listening to this thinking 'when will the bad stuff end, no-one deserves this'. Stay strong man, was happy to hear your good news, have fun with your new grandchild, make the most of your times with him. You are inspiring.

    This is a very heavy video to share with your subscribers. Congratulations on becoming a grandfather. I don't know where I heard this but it's true man life is a series of tragedies and you have to enjoy the time in-between. Since my father passed in 2018 my life went on a roller-coaster. My mother started having problems with anxiety and delusions after my father passed. I'm still trying to pin-point a solution to that, but people take death differently. I was able to grieve and move on with my life as I think my father would want me to, but my mother seemed to take it pretty badly. I work in the healthcare field and it has definitely been a change of pace dealing with this pandemic. I hope you and your family find some solace soon it's been a hell of a year and it's at the halfway point.
    I think another important thing is to continue to look after yourself and your well-being so you can be there for your family. Make sure you're getting some time alone to decompress.
    Things I do to help relieve stress:
    1)Gym
    2)Reading/Learning something new
    3)Listen to Music
    4)Play one of my favorite games

    • @GameFreak4Ever
      @GameFreak4Ever  Před 3 lety

      Thanks! They say the hardest deaths: child, spouse and parent. I appreciate your words of comfort during this time. I've learned to handle what life gives you. Not always easy. My grandma doesn't handle death very easy. Considering just 3 years ski my grandpa passed. (Alzheimer) and now her son with the murder.
      Yes. I do three out of the four things you mentioned in your last line. Music is definitely a compass, gaming a lot and counting to learn as much as possible.
      I give myself plenty of time to reflect on things. Good days and bad. I got to Zoom chat with my mom last week and talk since March.

    Man, just when you think you're going through it somebody else is being dealt a hand that's even worse. Sorry to hear that you been dealing with all these things man. You seem to be pretty resolute with how you're dealing with it. I hope you can weather the storm and deal with all that's coming at you in the most constructive way possible because things are no fun when life just constantly bomards us with hardships.
    P.S. Also, good on you for upholding the branding of your channel too, because this video is a prime example of being the lifespiller and "spilling your guts". Everything isn't always about games when it comes to life.

    I made the mistake of smoking before watching this and was like "oh shit" the whole time. Stay strong man. We got the regular mixed up with crazy in the plague, then an election as icing on top... Not many good days this year, but kids are great and afford us a chance at a better future, so congrats. I have one kid. Trying to build him like a Humvee: light, fast, and hard.

    Hey LifeSpiller. 2020 has definitely been a rough year. There's so much going on that nothing is outside the realm of possibilities of what can happen. I just want to say that you have been a big inspiration to me. I love how your passion of video games is expressed in each of your videos. You have been a big reason of why I've started making videos about video games and begun being active in the community. So I thank you!

    I'm sorry to hear about all you are going through man, but I appreciate how open and honest you are about it. I mean, your channel is called Life Spiller though so it makes sense of course. I too like to be open with people and share personal details about my life. It's what makes us human.
    But yeah, I'd say 2020 has been pretty bad for a lot of us so far. All we can do is just keep on going and doing our best. My father in law, who I look at as my second dad, has stage 4 liver cancer. Been going through that with him for a year now. He's currently on immunotherapy but the cancer had spread to his stomach recently. So the prognosis is not good. But what can you do? Just stay strong and keep on going the best you can.
    I appreciate your stories, both gaming and non gaming. Keep doing what you do.

    • @GameFreak4Ever

      Thanks for sharing! Yes. It's so important to spill my guts. So much going on. People need to be able to open up and talk about things that are hard. So to hear about your father in law. My mother in law who is closer to me than my skin. She went through her bout of cancer. She beat it. Luckily it was caught early.
      Life is quite funny. You're dealt this certain hand and you just have to play it. Trust I question of a lot of things that leave you with all these raw emotions. At the same time I press forward. A good buddy of mine lost five people in one year. He made it and so will I. You will too.

    Grandpa Spill! It's good to see you're making it through these tough experiences. I hear things can be especially tough in the U.S. when it comes to medical bills, so I hope you and your family have got some good coverage to relieve you from those stresses as well.
    Since you asked, as for me, we just had my mother admitted to the hospital to have them find a long term care home for her since her Alzheimer's disease is now to the point where she's not safe to stay with my dad in their apartment. And we can't look for placements by ourselves since all the LTC homes are closed to visitors right now.
    My doctor is also changing my medication this week, as despite a good year last year, my depression and anxiety has been making an impactful return in my life since the start of this year. So we'll see how that goes.
    BUT, if we want to end on a positive note, me and my wife will be celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary later this month!

    • @GameFreak4Ever
      @GameFreak4Ever  Před 3 lety +1

      So you totally understand about the mom thing. We hoping rehab helps with getting her to move her limbs. Her memory is still come and go. It's to be expected. Yes. We started three paperwork for my mom. My wife has to wait to go back to her doctor for the full diagnosis.
      Congrats on 19 years! That's incredible. You need that partner to help you through all of this. I had my moments in this short period of time. Work along with video games kept my mind preoccupied.
