Obstructive-- starting with O and U was also highlighted.. so OUT problem. Where as in restrictive we have 2 I's that's In problem... I felt this is easy .. hope some one can feel this easy...

Can someone explain why obstructive lung disease decreases FEV, but not FVC? And why restrictive lung disease decreases FVC more than FEV? Or are these just facts to memorise?
