And almost every one of these last ones didn’t get spent - all went into collections
WHAT AM I GOING TO THROW AT POLE DANCERS NOW?? 5$!? I'm not gonna throw coins.
Good point
Lick a loonie and stick it to her leg... 😉
Big deal
Throe the loonie hard
TheMcMater I know. I never knew that Canada no longer has the $1 or the 2$ bills. Just coins.
Same thing happen in Australia but the $1 Australian note was there for a while when the small $1 coin was introduce. Not a lot of people like it but the but the dollar was gone and was stuck with it like it or not. Nice to know that the people in Canada didn't like it either!!!!!!
" will never go up in value "
he says
Dollar bills no matter what year they have been issued will ALWAYS go up in vale for they are non circulating. They are a collector's item.
how old is this wow... 1989 lol
30 years ago, can't believe it. Forgot the way they looked, dressed, spoke. Everything is in constant change.
Hey! They're right about them lasting longer. Still using the same loonies from 1987.
Bills last a year: coins last 20-30 years give or take a year.
I have a Canadian 1 dollar bill in front of me right now
Me too,1967 ,no serial number ,unc.
Cool stuff, was born in the 90s never seen the bill but always had a looney or tooney
I have a few
On Jan 1 2021 all 1 dollar, 2 dollar and 1000 dollar notes will lose their legal tender status
That doesn't mean anything, other than someone can refuse them as part of a legal settlement. The banks will take them forever.
Hello Canadains! Whats up!!
1:51 You were wrong Bob...
We had dollar coins here in the States (Susan B. Anthony on them). Not popular--made about the same size/weight as a quarter.
Canada made them after the Susan B. Anthony Dollar. They figured it was what the US was doing. And loonies were made of exactly the same composition.
GoobNoob how did that work out?
We still used them today. Those dollar coins you see from 1987 are still being used in change today.
GoobNoob made exactly like ours?
Katheryne Koelker Same Composition that is correct
That is so bad. Wish they still had the paper bill.
I hate the loonie, bring back the $1 in the new plastic note
no loonie is wayy better lasts longer.
America tried doing the same thing
In Canada we have $1 but a coin it's called the lonnie
Loonie*
Bring back the Canadian dollar note!
Unless it's in polymer
No
Its the same but i like the bill if its high value or cost coins is just for low or 1 or tonnies
Uncirculated banknotes do go up in value.
But if we're talking about the last issue, they printed so many (and so many got saved) that the premium on them is still very small-barely more than the rate of inflation
im thinking of buying a full sheet of $1 dollar bills not cut
That's gonna cost you an arm and a leg
this guy is selling a sheet of $1 for $195
The canadian bank note worker must be really rich
Now we have plastic money
Soon we are going to have digital currency😢... I don't like where this is going... I enjoy holding money when I have it... I💘U#Canada🇨🇦
it's 2020 and i think attest 80% of people would rather the $1,2 bill, and if they last so long why does the mint keep making new loonies every year, what a joke of an excuse.
You know they had the 1$ coin since 1935 right? And been making coins every year before that so you dont really make sense
They made 1$ coins every year and dollar bills every year!! But switched to only the loonie in 1987
And a 2 doller bill
I like the plastic bills today they are good to handle
I want you to walk this mega pics to my minimal Marisa in Burnaby bc to put in her wallet or on the wall to make it much visible to stretch out and see it better by a lot
I have a ton of old bills if anyone wants to buy
Hang on to them: they are worth a fortune.
I want to buy
Royal mint
I have a $1 Canadian bill not lying
I have raven skin not lying
i have many even im not canadian
Whe hade that my whole life is a lie
Factory money job help go
ya eh so im assuming the same reason for the $2 bill to replace the toonie
0rg
ive never used a one dollar bill.. we have a droller coin/ loonie... so what? nothing is changing.
There is change: you just fail to see it
geb mersey to pipol ..
everyone likes the bills better then coins
Puis tu aime plastique.. ~ Eugene Kwok
that was a mistake
