I think it would be a great cliffhanger if at the end of season 2, Jay regained his memories, but because of his shattered soul, he remained evil anyways.

He will obviously come back, this is the same show that has killed Zane multiple times and he came back, and the same show that said Nya couldnât possibly become a human again after being water but then did like 4 episodes later

Watch them pull a Winter Soldier with Jay. Once a hero who loses his memories and is manipulated by villains to become a villain.
Letâs hope so.. and I donât think that Jay should ever regain his old memories back, somewhat similar to how GOTG3 treated Gamora, who rejoined the team but was never the same.

In that scenario, the writers would be throwing away years of Jay's interactions with the other ninja, as well as throwing away his entire character more than Wildbrain did. His relationship with Nya, being best friends with Cole. Being a crucial part of the team who knows how to lighten up a situation when it gets too dark. Removing all of that would be horrible, and just imagine how bad the backlash would be if Jay never regains his memories. What I think they should do, and what probably will be the case, is have him gain all his memories back, but have it take time.
Jay shouldn't rejoin the ninja team until the end of season 3 at the very least
I think jay's evil arc is going two ways one he joins the ninja by the end of part 2 or at some point in season 3 since it's clear that we are going to se the forbidden five be villains for season 3 not the main villains since ras and his story is not done yet

Yeah, we need to have emotional depth of Jay having mental struggles with this afterwards to make it more realistic. It would also give some emotional depth with Nya on how she sees Jay as her true love.

I havenât seen this video, but I doubt Jay will stay evil forever. I mean take Zane for example. He was the ice emperor for six decades but then he became good again. I doubt itâs gonna take Jay six decades for him to become good again, but Iâm sure itâs gonna be temporary. Iâm sure heâll regain his memories like Zane did, and rejoin the ninja team again.

When wyldfire and co. put on the wolf masks during the finale and got them off rather anticlimatically, could their souls have been shattered or did they not wear them for long enough? Do you need to allow the mask to shatter you or does it happen just by wearing it too long? Probably the former.

I hope Jay regains his memory but Ras will manipulate him into being evil. Why? The ideal motivation would be the fact that no one was looking for him. The ninjas are all sitting together in the monastery and none of them will think "hmm, maybe it's time to find Jay, since we have nothing to do anyway." It's a bit sad how their relationship collapsed. I feel like they are more of a team than a family. Plus, this will be the first time they've done something more interesting with Jay since Skybound.

I bet it depends how far gone they've shattered their soul, and how strong said soul is. Jay's got a strong soul and Cinder, depending on who he was before joining Ras, may have had a weaker soul compared to Jay. I would love next season be Nya, Cole, maybe Arin too trying to help Jay heal his soul after what Ras will put him through.

That would destroy years of Jay's interactions with the other ninja, such as his relationship with Nya, him being best friends with cole, him learning to deal with the fact that his biological parents left him. Him being a vital component of the team as he makes jokes to make a situation less stressful. That may work for other shows, but not Ninjago.
